Built is 1871, you instantly feel the historic charm throughout the condo with modernized conveniences in the kitchen and bathroom. The condo is ground level with lots of natural light. Exposed brick walls with original hardwood floors in the dining room boasts the history and warmth of the building. Only 2 blocks from Carroll Creek. Downtown Frederick is only a few minutes' walk to over 200 galleries, specialty shops, eateries, and thriving craft brewery scene.
We were delighted with the condo in Frederick. Itâs right at the beginning of the historic district and walkable to the Carroll Creek restaurants. Itâs clean, updated, and comfortable, with parking for two cars even though we only needed one. Our doggie was happy, too!
My family and I stayed for a whirlwind weekend to visit our son. We were within walking distance to his house and Carroll Creek. Frederick is a beautiful place and this condo is absolutely gorgeous.
Thank you for making our stay a memorable one.
This warm, comfortable, well stocked condo makes you feel at home we really enjoyed staying there. Close to town , nice restaurants, Civil War Museum, shops and friendly neighbors. We loved dining at IL Porto Italian restaurant.
Great location. Super clean place with dedicated onsite parking. Host is extremely responsive. Comfy bed, nice walk-in shower with great water pressure. Easy walk to downtown Frederick, lots of good restaurants, breweries, etc. I honestly couldnât have asked for better!
The unit is clean and comfortable. The kitchen is especially well appointed. We really liked that is in the heart of historic district and many attractions are within walking distance. Entry, though, is through a rear bedroom, which is awkward.
Chose location for Hagerstown Triathlon over the weekend. Our family for the most part exclusively stays ay VRBO's. This was one of the best experiences we have ever had. Great place all around!! Once there we walked to everything we needed in the city! Thank you!!
My wife Kathy and I had a wonderful, if all too short visit in Frederick. The apartment was perfectly located, spacious, and well appointed. Our host was delighted and very responsive. We recommend for any couple looking for a quaint getaway.
This was truly one of our favorite rentals!!! So clean and well stocked with all the basics..loved the decor, great beds, and perfect location to walk to downtown Frederick! We are already planning our next visit and this will be at the top of our list to stayâŠKristie was a superb host-helped us find another rental when we had to extend our stay and this one wasnât available..recommend 100%!!
This property was exactly as pictured on the website. All the amenities were top notch and the condo was so accessible to walk to shops and restaurants in downtown. Highly recommend and host was extremely responsive when Vrbo didnât send the check in info. We would definitely stay again.
The property was central for our spring break trip. We were able to squeeze in a trip to Hershey and Gettysburg in route to DC. The condo being pet friendly and having a Camp Bow Wow allowed our entire family to vacation together.
The condo notes free wifi and internet but I didn't see any details within communication.
Suggested changes: Must fix dangerous nails/tacks in bathroom floor; should have 1, or more, shower grab bars, need instructions how to use TV and please take care of mold at bottom of shower door.
Quick review on our experience: due to an unforeseen, last-minute situation, we were unable to stay at this property......AND Kriste, the owner was amazing. She quickly helped us secure another location to stay in the same building, immediately refunded our fee, and was gracious in every way possible. In a tough moment, she relieved a ton of stress for us. I would HIGHLY recommend staying in her property. (Bonus: we looked in and the condo was adorable!!!)
We were there in order to be close to Frederick Memorial Hospital as I had an out patient procedure done. The apartment is so well provisioned with many items we did not need this trip but believe it would be very appreciated by anyone renting for vacation or business. It took 5 minutes to get to the hospital and the beds were so comfortable to recover in. There are many stellar restaurants nearby and you can tell immediately that much care is taken to make any guest and their pet feel welcome.
Great property, I just had an issue with booking the property, listed as a pet friendly property , but for some reason when booking I didnât see a place to list pet, so I message property that I had one. And then they informed me there would be an additional pet fee of $$$ which for some reason after paying for insurance and cleaning fee I thought this was A bit much
I was raised in Frederick since I was six years old. I graduated from Frederick High then later attended Hood College to earn my bachelor's and master's Degrees. My husband, Jason, originally from Tennessee, and I attended Frederick High together, but we didn't connect until 2014. We were married in 2018 in beautiful Deep Creek, Maryland. We have 2 sons and five dogs (all rescues!) and live in Myersville.
I used to work for Maryland School for the Deaf from 2002 - 2009. I always had a fondness of the different architectural design of the homes on Clarke Place and South Market. So much beauty and design. But I particularly had a fondness for this building. So, when the condos went on sale, Jason and I took a gander and then took a leap of faith to buy it for the sole purpose of creating an Airbnb/VRBO.
Having two designated parking spaces for a property in downtown Frederick is hugely convenient! Parking can be sparse on even the slowest days in downtown. And, location, location, location! Walking distance from Carroll Creek and downtown Frederick is ideal. Walk to locally owned and operating restaurants, breweries and coffee shops while enjoying shopping in our unique boutique stores. It's a minute's drive to access Rt 70 & 270 to hit other major sightseeing cities including Baltimore, DC, Gettysburg and Harper's Ferry, all under an hour's drive.
