Its a beautifully renovated "cabin", combining the best of modern conveniences with old fashioned charm. Its quite spacious with a large living/dining area and a good sized and well stocked kitchen. the best is the location, close to alll the downstown stores and restaurants but on a quiet street.
The location is perfect to all that downtown Frederick has to offer. The house is charming and the beds are very comfortable. The host responds very quickly to any questions.
This house was a great option for my family as we traveled back-and-forth to DC. It was so nice to be able to come home and rest after a long day of sightseeing.
Really amazing use of space. The house is great for checking out the downtown area restaurants or staying in for a meal. Itâs laid out well and every detail is excellent, from the decorations to the helpful explanations around the house (like labels on the light switches). It was a great stay!
This is my go-to place to stay in Frederick, where I visit a sister often. It is a historic cabin beautifully renovated, very comfortable and clean and in a to die for location: right downtown, close to the night life and restaurants of Market Street but just far enough way so that the property itself is quiet and peaceful. Love it!
This place is perfect for a stay downtown. Walkable to everything, the cabin is awesome. Parking in the driveway was clutch as well! I will for sure be back again!
Really nice cabin style dwelling that was close to downtown and just right for our girls weekend. The VRBO site had some issues loading check in info, but Danny was very responsive.
This is the second time my friends and I have stayed at this property and both stays were just perfect. This house is amazing on the inside and Danny is a super host who is very accommodating and available. Location is ideal and super clean
We had a fabulous stay at this beautiful 1840s lodge in old town Frederick over Thanksgiving weekend. Could not have asked for a vozier and comfier place than this one of its kind wooden lodge.
This was a great location to attend a wedding at Dulaney's Overlook!! Just minutes away from the venue and so much to do within walking distance. House was perfect!! Danny did a wonderful job renovating the property. Would definitely stay again!!
The house was great and had enough space for 6 adults, an infant and a toddler. The kitchen is well equipped. The location is outstanding and Danny, the host was very easy to communicate with.
The home is beautiful and comfortable. We were able to take advantage of the proximity to downtown Frederick and all that it offers via the water walk, restaurants, and shops. If we ever need a place to stay in this area we would definitely re-book.
Had family in the area for a few days. This house is amazing and so close to local dining and shopping. The house was the perfect size and parking was great as it is usually a concern in that area. Will use this again!
The home was very well maintained from all aspects, cleanliness, furnishings, kitchen equipment etc.
The location allows for easy walking distance to many dining and casual food establishments.
I really appreciated the ease and promptness of communications with the owner when I had any questions.
We would certainly use the home again for travel to the area.
We're very glad we rented this home for a weekend getaway in Frederick. The log cabin has been really nicely renovated, with a modern kitchen and baths and comfortable beds. The location is perfect for walking down Market Street to restaurants and shops. Danny is an attentive host. We recommend it.
This is a beautiful and well maintained property. We appreciated the blend of old and new styling and the kitchen and baths are top notch and well equipped. The location is great for walking to everything in downtown Frederick. As most people who live in a city know, the private driveway is a valuable asset. We would definitely stay there again.
Great location and great space for multi-generation stay
Visited MD for a family wedding weekend and this property and location had everything we needed for three generations that stayed together!! Walkable to local restaurants, coffee shops and bars. Uber ride from nearby locations was affordable. Bathrooms were big enough for getting ready. And the kitchen had all that we needed to make meals together! Great response from the host on a couple of quick questions!
Our family stayed here for our daughter's wedding. We didn't spend a ton of time at the house, but it was a wonderful location to walk to downtown Frederick, both in the morning to stroll along the river walk, and at night to check out the bars. The house is a lovely mix of old and new. And was very well appointed with all that we needed. Would stay there again in a heart beat, but don't want to marry off my daughter again any time soon!
We - five related senior citizens - rented the "Log Cabin" for five days and utterly enjoyed our stay. The property is lovingly renovated and well equipped, it is clean and offers ample space for privacy and coming together. The full kitchen is a great plus, but the house is located very close to a variety of restaurants, so meal options abound. Downtown Frederick is charming, fun, and very walkable. Hood College is also within walking distance. Fort Detrick is within an easy car ride, as are a number of historic sites. Danny-the-Host was very responsive by text and even by phone. We had to call him once at an odd time of day, when a thunderstorm tripped a circuit breaker, and he answered immediately. If I were to leave one suggestion it would be to make location of the circuit breaker panel more apparent, to save the trouble for future guests (and himself) in a similar situations in the future :)
I grew up in Montgomery County Maryland, moved to Frederick in 1999 for about 6 years and fell in love with the small town feel. I lived Southern California for 11 yrs and then moved to Hawaii, but always come back to visit Frederick. My home away from home. Have always loved the historic buildings in Frederick and I love restoring them back to their original beauty for others to enjoy. I was in construction for about 15 yrs and loved the work, but didn't like the long hours. I walked away from construction and have been a full-time network marketer and real estate investor since the early 2000s. I got married in 2017 to an amazing woman and we decided to move to the Dallas area. My wife and I enjoy traveling around the world, exploring new places and learning about different cultures . Life is meant to be lived and have fun with the people you love! I hope you enjoy our unique properties as much as we do.
I was going to live in the cabin but moved to Hawaii for a year. This was such a unique place right in the middle of downtown. There is nothing like it. I thought it would be so much fun to bring it back to life and let others enjoy a little bit of history. I grew up in MD and lived in Frederick for about 5 years and fell in love with the city. I always come back to see my family. I am happy that others can enjoy it as my as I do.
There are only a few places this cabin in the downtown area. It took a long time to renovate it and and so much extra care to keep a lot of the original parts of the 1840 cabin. It looks beautiful now!!! Itâs got 3 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms. One with a stand up huge shower and the other one has a bathtub.
