Wonderful Property and Hosts

We really enjoyed our stay. The home is very clean with a lot of thoughtful amenities. There are quite a few options for drinks, food, and shopping within walking distance. The neighborhood was quiet and the house has a great view of the lake. We would definitely stay here again.

A wonderful stay!

This home worked so well for our girl's weekend! The house was extremely clean and everything was well labeled. The views of the lake were wonderful. The hosts did a great job of communicating before & during our stay! We highly recommend!

Medical Christmas

We stayed in Waconia over the holidays. My son had surgery in the Cities and we spent an extended time with family while he recovered. Gail and Andy went above and beyond decorating for Christmas and made us feel at home! They even supplied extra ice for my son’s recovery and checked in throughout our stay. The home is beyond clean and stocked with everything you need! 10/10 recommend!

Merry Birthday Christmas Celebration

We had a girls’ day and night out in Waconia. This location worked great. It is very clean and has all the things that you could need if you forget something. The owners were very easy to communicate with and I will absolutely be booking a stay here again in the future.

High School Friends Reunion/Gathering

The class of 1985 girls gather for a weekend from time-to-time, and a small group of us decided we wanted to extend this year for an overnight. I no longer live in MN, but was flying back to attend. I found this home on VRBO that appeared to be very close to where we be hanging out in town. When I arrived, everything was perfect. The home was comfortable, cozy, and it was easy to walk to restaurants and shops. Andy and Gail were very responsive and ensured we had a great stay. I'll be renting again in the future, especially in warmer months so we can enjoy more of the outdoor surroundings. Each morning we enjoyed our morning coffee while taking the beautiful view of the lake in. An excellent choice to stay at!

Team of 6 girls for a quick weekend get away. Was perfect for us. Had everything we needed as we stayed in and cooked and enjoyed the weekend. Everything was easy to use and owners were available when we needed. Great space with lots of amenities

Girls’ Weekend Paradise

We are 40 year olds who wanted a quiet weekend in a good location. We loved this house! It was cute, clean, and we could walk to everything! So many nice details to make the stay easy like lots of towels and awesome coffee/tea bar. Everything you could need! Cool decorations and artistic decor, it was a beautiful house. Lots to do in Waconia!

Well Stocked and Beautiful Home!

We stayed at the house for a Girls Weekend and it was perfect! The house is well stocked with everything that you could think of (charging cables, noise machines, wireless speakers, kitchen items including spices and oils, bathrobes and slippers, coffee/drink bar). The house was so comfortable. We could have easily hung out in the house or on the deck all weekend. We did some craft projects on a table in the garage which was perfect. The house is walkable to so many restaurants and bars. The owners were very responsive. Couldn't have asked for a more perfect spot! Highly, highly recommend!!

Great Place with all the trimmings.

Good location and the place was spotless. Everything including that one could ask for in coffee supplies, cooking needs and beyond. All the appliances were top notch and even soft water.

Great view of the lake. Nice little town located far enough from the city but close enough to take advantage of city activities. House was comfortable and well supplied. Use of garage was a plus. Owners were very responsive when needed. Nice neighborhood as well.

Serene Lake Waconia vacation

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the house. It has everything you need for a vacation, and the location is perfect. Many local restaurants are just a short walk away, and the view of the lake is beautiful. The owners were attentive and made sure everything was to our liking. We highly recommend this property and would stay there again.

Awesome weekend!

Our group enjoy the house so much! Very clean and well stocked with everything you could think of. The owners were great at communicating and even came by to help us with a lock issue. Walking distance to so many shops & restaurants. Everyone we met in town was so nice as well! Will definitely be coming back to the area!

Amazing stay

Our time at The Lake Retreat House in Waconia was wonderful! The house was immaculate— everything was so clean! In addition, the home had all the amenities a person could ever need! We loved the artwork in the home. The kids enjoyed the foosball table, the dart board and the art/craft room! The location was perfect! The home was within walking distance to the main area of town and restaurants. Overall, this home gets a 5-star rating from us! Highly recommended!

Beautiful and Comfortable

Everything about our stay was wonderful! If you forgot to pack something, chances are it is available. Lots of little extras such as toiletries, tons of kitchen supplies, outdoor items, games, movies, and so much more are located throughout the home. We were only here for 2 nights and spent much of one day at a family wedding, but could have easily stayed much longer and been very comfortable. Also, cleanliness was top notch! If we are in the area in the future, we would definitely want to stay here again.

Amazing!

We had the best time at this property. It was in the BEST location and we walked around town multiple times a day. We also walked to the fishing pier and had beautiful views of the lake throughout the house. We will definitely stay here again! The house was very clean and was stocked with everything you need! We loved the art area in the basement and the games.

Spectacular place to stay!

We had the best experience at the lake house! The amenities were over the top, great! The location to the lake and town was perfect. If we had a question they answered quickly. We will come back and stay here again. In a heart beat. We loved the decorations and the vibe!

We would like to introduce ourselves. We are Andy & Gail Haering. We have been real estate agents for a long time and brought our experience into the design & set up of this home. We love traveling, decorating , gardening, bicycling and relaxing with a good book. We are cooking enthusiasts. So we set up the kitchen with cookware, utensils, dishes and small appliances to make it fun to cook.
We love renting VRBOs when we travel and have put together what we would want in a home we rent in an effort to create a 5 star stay for our clients.

Waconia is a charming lake town with many fun amenities within blocks. We have comfortable beds, lots of nice kitchen equipment, super nice cookware & small appliances and well stocked supplies. Our beverage station is top notch. We have 4 fondue pots. The bathrooms have all the basics supplied. The home has soft water & great water pressure. We have a living room, family room & art studio. The home is stocked with games, books, yoga equipment, hand weights & more. Each bedroom has white noise machines & essential oil diffusers. There is a washer & dryer. We work hard to offer a very clean home for your stay.
