Enjoy this 1 bedroom home located less than two blocks from the famous Waikiki beach. This unit includes dual private balconies with city/Mountain views, access to the Bamboo’s waterfall pool, spa and sundeck area enclosed in a Japanese-style garden to escape the hustle & bustle of Waikiki. This home includes complimentary wifi, cable, recently upgraded A/C and more in a secured building located right off the Waikiki strip, just steps away from shopping, dining, nightlife and more.

This hotel-style 1 bedroom unit features two private lanais, queen size bed, sofabed, full bath, kitchenette and sleeps 4 guests.

KITCHEN/DINING This home includes a kitchenette with a two burner glass cooktop, microwave, full fridge, coffee maker, dishes, cups, cutlery, basic cookware and coffee mugs.

LIVING/SLEEPING AREA The living/sleeping area has one queen size bed and 1 sofa bed (sleeps 4), closet, 42” smart tv, Koa wood furniture and drawers, recently upgraded dual pane sliders leading to the bedroom lanai and living room lanai, and full bath with shower/tub. Recently upgraded superchill split A/C units placed in bedroom and living room.

OUTDOOR AREAS includes 2 covered lanais with mountain/city views and 2 chairs.

BUILDING AMENITIES on-site paid laundry (nominal fee), complimentary wifi and cable, AC. Elevator access. Sundeck, pool, ATM.

LOCATION Located in the heart of Waikiki, steps to the famous beaches, shops and restaurants. The location of this unit is right on Kuhio Ave., this property is a 3 minute walk (2 blocks) to Waikiki Beach where the famous Duke Statue stands, with waves perfect for beginners to learn surfing, outrigger canoe rides and catamaran sailing rides. The Kuhio beach is located right next to Waikiki Beach and offers a protected swimming area ideal for families with young children.

A few blocks from the unit, enjoy world class beach front shopping on Kalakaua Ave and the International Marketplace, enjoy a bite to eat at nearby famous Dukes Restaurant, Mai Tai Bar at the Royal Hawaiian, Marukame Udon or the rotating restaurant Sky Bar. Honolulu Zoo and Waikiki Aquarium are within walking distance. Take a short drive/bus ride south to Hanauma Bay for snorkeling, Diamond Head or north Ala Moana Center for shopping. The bus line directly to the airport runs right by the hotel. Access to the freeway is nearby to explore the rest of the island.

This was our first time staying at this property and it was great! We were one block from waikiki beach as well as the shops and dining. Public transit was easily accessible steps from the front door. The pool area and lobby were clean and the staff at the front were very helpful!

Beautiful Bamboo

The location was excellent - in walking distance to everything. We didn’t need a car. We used ride share for anything like transportation to the airport. Just two blocks to one of the most famous beaches in the world, where you can share the ocean and views with people who are paying 1,000 a night for the fancy hotels!The Bamboo is a great place to stay if you are not picky. My family and I just wanted a comfortable place to lay our heads, take a shower after the beach, and be able to keep things in the small kitchen they provide. We were happy. Also, the staff at the desk is very friendly. We felt very safe here. There is a lot of street noise, but we had no problem with that. Bring noise canceling headphones if you need to!

Dated property

The location was good. It was close to a bus stop and not far from the beach. The amenities were skimpy. 2 towels for the week for 2 people. No fitted bottom sheet on the bed thus the bed was messy to sleep in. It was adequate but probably would not choose it again.

Would Not Stay Here Again

We were very unhappy with the mold, ripped and stained furniture, lack of kitchen supplies, odds & ends of towels, and lack of lighting. Dishes were dirty, there was no dish soap, there was a 1/4 sponge (clearly a sponge cut into 4 smaller pieces) and no mat for the dish drying rack. Shower was rusty as was the shower head.

For the price, it is OK

The place was kind of janky. Could have been a bit cleaner and had nicer kitchen/bath items. Very loud noise from the street traffic until about 1AM, Kind of a musty stink I couldn't tell if it was coming from the alley below the bathroom window or the bathroom itself. After a couple days messing with the weird window dial in the bathroom, I'm pretty sure the smell was coming from the alley below, even though we were 6 floors up. But if you are looking for a relatively cheap place in the center of Waikiki, with a private room for you and your spouse, a pull out bed for your kid/s a rudimentary kitchen, with refrigerator, a coffee maker with grounds for your stay, then this one is pretty good. Though I have had better for similar price range. Beggars can't be choosers. BTW the swimming pool definitely looks better in person than in the photos. Though we never went in it. And kids seem to love it.

The hotel itself was very conveniently located only two blocks from Waikiki Beach near the big Banyan tree.The hotel pool was nice as well. We did not use it because the water was a bit chilly..The furnishings in the room are original I believe from when the building was built in the mid 80s or 90s hard to tell, but the couch was stained the orange chair back in the pictures.The rug needs to be thrown in the trash. It’s awful very few dishes matched.The walls and flooring were in very good condition.The beach umbrella only had the top half the part that you stick into the sand was missing. There were three beach chairs for guest use. One of them was so bent up I did not try it out.We did use the other two chairs on the beach.On two occasions, the back of the chair suddenly gave out without any shifting or movement or anything on my part, and I fell back precariously hitting the small of my back on the back of the chair, resulting in a large bruise across my lumbar spine.Overall, for the price, I think we could’ve done much better.Parking was almost impossible. No parking was available within the building.I would suggest that if you do choose to stay in that area of Waikiki that you take a taxi or Uber to the area and not rent a car for a week or more.Overall, I would not rent that particular property again, I also would not recommend it.

I’ve been to Waikiki probably 7 times and I usually look for the same thing, a good deal. Therefore I wasn’t expecting amazing or perfect, this place had great pics of the pool and the room looked very nice. It wasn’t terrible but I probably wouldn’t stay again. It feels weird to spend 1250 and then immediately have to go buy toilet paper because you weren’t left enough. I was thankful that they had basic body was and shampoo/conditioner. The couch was not comfortable for chilling and relaxing in the living room but I later learned that it was a pull out couch so that makes sense and is probably worth having. I would have appreciated more towels as we’d packed intentionally to not have to do laundry. We did appreciate the few beach items on the lanai. The pool vibe was off to me. One day it was freezing cold in the hot tub which was disappointing (but not the hosts fault). We picked this property because of how beautiful the pool looked, but didn’t go in at all. They didn’t have the waterfall feature running and diners from off the street have access to come back and eat at the restaurant at the pool making it less private or special. It also felt like cleanliness was overlooked. On the first day we saw what looked like blood by the bed on the floor. Mold spots on some of the furniture. Unable to turn on a lamp in the living room and couldn’t get one of the AC remotes to work (dead batteries?). Something that could’ve helped us is being able to text a host if we needed to.

オーナーは私がチェックイン情報が来ていないと連絡しても返事をしてこないので、VRBOチャットオペレーターから催促して初めて連絡してきました。また、それ以降の質問には返答がありませんでした。チェックインの際、指示通り16時すぎにバンブーワイキキのフロントに行ったところ、オーナーから予約確認書が届いていないからチェックイン出来ないと言われました。フロントからはオーナーに連絡しろと言われ、VRBOチャットオペレーターに相談し、やっと予約確認書が送られたのは40分以上経っていました。その間、子供のオムツも替えられず結局オムツから漏れてしまいました。バカにされたようで、本当に最低の経験でした。部屋は写真とは程遠く、汚い部屋でした。テレビ前にあるはずのカーペットは無く、床は歩くとスリッパの裏がすぐに黒くなり、カーテンやソファ、ソファベッドのマットレス、キッチン下の棚や引き出しにはカビが生えていました。また、バスタブは塗装が剥がれていたし、排水が上手くいかずすぐに水が詰まりました。全体的に不衛生でした。今すぐに掲載写真を現状の状態に変更するべきです。また、部屋のクリーニング、修理、家具の買い替えをするべきです。ホテルWi-Fiを使用しろと指示がありましたが、Wi-Fiはロビーのみでしか使えず部屋では全く繋がりません(パスワードを入れる画面すら出てこない状態)でした。オーナーとは連絡が取りにくいにも関わらず、スムーズにチェックインもできず、使えるはずのWi-Fiも使えない。写真と乖離した衛生状態。全くおすすめできません。クヒオ通りに面しているため、騒音もひどく、もう二度と泊まりたくないです。

I believe the amount of money spent for those 2 nights was well spent &' I would do it all over again. On one condition, if I stay at the bamboo Waikiki hotel if I could please stay up on the 8th floor I believe it is with the gigantic lanai and BBQ grills...
