We loved the charming antique nature of the house. We were quite comfortable and all our needs were met. I do wish the living room had other furniture so the whole family could hang out comfortably. Also, the couch really needs replacing. Other than that, we were very happy with this home.
It was thrilling to stay in a house that truly had a historic ambiance. It felt we were living part of the Santa Fe world. One evening a small herd of mule deer came by. We were able to visit all the museums we wished and be with nature.
We loved the look and feel of this home. The bookshelves and decor were lovely. The bed in the master bedroom was super comfortable. We loved the location - it was far enough out of town that we even saw deer in the yard twice but close enough that it took just minutes to drive to the plaza or Canyon road.
My family and I really enjoyed staying at this home, with its books and lovely setting among little pine trees. There's a nice patio to sit on, and the books are a great asset. (Warning: the sinks are quite small, especially in the downstairs bathroom.) Overall, we loved staying there.
This was our first trip out to Santa Fe and we could not have picked a more perfect place to stay! The property is quite private and very lovely. And close to all the things we wanted to see and do. It's an older home with tons of charm.
It was a nice place to say and our host was friendly. This is an older house with old lights and plumbing (the kitchen is new), but this was as described, and we enjoyed the authentic Santa Fe home experience.
We enjoyed the property. The fireplace was hreat after skiing. The full kitchen made it easy to prepare meals. The house was conveniently located near ski santa fe (36 minutes away), shops, restaurants, and grocery stores. Overall best stay we have had in a while.
A long walk or short drive to everything. Very quiet neighborhood, lovely home. My only negative is that the bathrooms are very small and the downstairs one is oddly narrow. But I'd come back here in a heartbeat. Had a wonderful time. I was here with my 23 and 25 year old granddaughters celebrating my 80th birthday and we all loved the house.
The property was great. We added fairy lights to the front patio area and this made it much cozier after dark!
The only draw backs were the slow drain in the bathroom sink and the bathtub tap control that would fall off (but both still worked).
Our group of couples enjoyed everything about our stay. The kitchen equipment was well stocked, the bedrooms were all unique and comfortable, and the property itself couldn't be beat. Lots of wildlife & views. We enjoyed sitting on one of the (many) porch/outdoor seating areas and listening to the surrounding thunderstorm roll by. The property manager was easy to communicate with, & quick to respond to any issues. Very easy drive to downtown, hiking, or Canyon road. Would absolutely stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay but the house is in desperate need of update. There were holes that were barely patched and exposed plaster, ,peeling paint and the bathroom sink is the size of an airplane sink. Furniture was not very comfortable. The pics online were very different from the actual house.
Great location and very quiet. The beds were very comfortable and plenty of towels. The kitchen was well stocked and we loved the fridge & ice maker. T.V. & fireplace were great & loved the big table for our games. Liked looking at the books.
I couldnât find the hair dryer and disappointed not to have coffee our first morning and had to go to the store to buy. Please have the key available for the back door lock just in case anyone would need to exit for emergency.
This was a great house for a sister weekend. We worked, walked, visited friends, shopped, and hung out. Except for some glitches with the hot water, it was cozy and easy. Great kitchen, great linens, great beds. The fireplace would have been terrific but it was too warm. The outside patio was filled with morning sun where we had coffee and did yoga. All in all, a great weekend!
Just before we checked in, VRBO informed me that there was a potential temporary problem with the property we rented that they didn't want to risk. So they moved us to a different property that was a significant upgrade and didn't make any change to the fee we had already paid. Our group loved the new property and appreciated VRBO's excellent customer service. My answers above are for the new property we were moved to, not this property.
We stayed 4 nights in early-mid August, and this house was perfect for my wife and I with our adult son. Super quiet but only minutes to the Plaza by car, and we walked to the Botanic Garden and to upper Canyon Road. We only made a couple light breakfasts but kitchen was well-appointed and we appreciated the provided coffee and filters along with other items. Iâm 6â4â and my son more like 6â6â, but we did fine ducking at a couple places and minding the stairs, and enjoyed the houseâs style and ambiance. And with the quiet neighborhood and NM skies I was able to watch some Perseid meteors right from the yard Saturday when the clouds finally cleared late. As regular Santa Fe visitors this was one of our favorite rentals, and the location canât be beat for quiet in the city.
We stayed during a very hot weekend and the house stays comfortable. There are multiple fans set up throughout the downstairs and upstairs has a window AC. The location simply canât be beat as itâs right next to galleries and museums. Plus the plaza is less than 5 minutes away. Area is quiet, actually never heard noise coming from other residences. House is very clean and the host goes beyond any VRBO Iâve stayed at (which is around 20) to make you feel welcome. We had a hand written note along with candy and a bottle of wine. Plus they had two bags of ice and popsicles in the freezer. The kitchen is stocked with anything youâd need if you choose to eat in. There are cute rabbits all around the property that my kids loved. I recommend this rental as one of the best Iâve stayed at.
Very quirky place. We left behind some better cookware for the next folks.
We booked months in advance and I talked to someone on the phone about travelling with our toddler. We talked about a pack and play- they said they had one we could use! I got text messages reminding of our trip, and asked several questions weeks before our arrival. They never answered. I ended up bringing a pack and play for kiddo, which was good, because there was none at the rental.
We got a long email with instructions and disclaimers, but the wifi password was wrong and it seemed like generic info from the property management company.
The heater in one of the rooms was broken. There was a space heater as a replacement, but nothing to indicate the wall unit was bad. I texted about these issues and didn't get a response. I started messaging through the VRBO app for traceability. There was a lovely snow while we were there and a huge leak above a window. Finally they answered about the heater and the leak.
It's a very interesting place, lots of character, but the support from the host was not great.
Wonderful place, great location, beautiful scenery
My family and I had a really comfortable stay here. It was roomy and had a fireplace that was nice on the cool nights. As a tea drinker I appreciated some tea to get me started before I went to the grocery store.
