Well worth it!

Not only was the property as described, all of the little details that were taken care of made this place one of the better ones in our 4 yeats of traveling in the area.

Comfortable and cozy

Our stay at Sweet Home Carolina was perfect for our Galentine’s weekend getaway! We appreciated the beautiful view of the mountains, the well stocked kitchen and comfortable couches. We will be back soon!

Great stay at Sweet Caroline!

Really enjoyed our stay in Waynesville and our home away from home was terrific...of note, the Great Room is terrific with lots of sitting areas and a wonderful view of the mountains.

Great Views, Great Place, Close to Town

Exactly as promoted and exactly as we remembered having stayed here a few years ago. Well appointed house, wonderful view from the deck and less than 5 minutes drive into downtown. Would actually be walkable to town except for the steep climbs. Had a great time and will be back for sure.

A Home Away From Home!!

What a fabulous retreat from the heat this was!! A wonderful home in a beautiful setting, with all the amenities one could ask for!! The deck and back patio were especially enjoyable for our group, as was the large open living space in the center of the house. Plenty of room for gathering and laughing!! We made some wonderful memories at this memorable location and plan to return to make many more!!

Wonderful Property!

This property was beautiful inside and out! Wonderful views; close to downtown shopping district; beautiful decor and kitchen was well stocked. Comfortable beds. Will definitely return again! Doug was easy to work with - and even allowed us to check in a little early so my 90 year old mother could rest following a long drive to the mountains.

Recent stay at Sweet Home Carolina

This was our first VRBO rental and we couldn't have been more pleased. Not only was the house beautifully appointed, the views across the valley were spectacular. We enjoyed the peace and quiet, yet the location is relatively close to shopping and good restaurants.The owner, Doug, was quite responsive on those few occasions when we needed some assistance in dealing with the unfamiliar cable syster,

Fall Girls Trip

I can not say enough about how much we enjoyed this property. Very relaxing and comfortable interior and exterior. Landscaping is beautiful. Pictures do not do it justice. Awesome location. Secluded feel but you can be in downtown Waynesville in less than 2 minutes. Would stay again and again.

A Perfect Mountain Retreat in Waynesville

My family and I fell in love with this cozy, inviting home in Waynesville—it was the ideal escape for our North Carolina mountain getaway! From the moment we walked in, the attention to detail made us feel right at home. The vaulted wood ceilings, open kitchen/den, and tasteful décor added so much charm, while the spotless cleanliness and peaceful atmosphere made relaxation effortless. **Highlights** **Stunning outdoor spaces** – Enjoyed morning coffee with mountain views on the patio, evenings by the fire pit under the pergola (off the master bedroom!), and lazy afternoons in the cozy front seating areas to watch mountains and sunset. **Fully equipped & comfortable** – The kitchen had everything we needed, and the beds were dreamy after long days of hiking. **Prime location** – Just a short drive to Waynesville’s adorable downtown (don’t miss the boutiques and restaurants!) and easy access to hiking trails. A highlight was dinner at *The Ranch* in Maggie Valley—so delicious! ** Great Host** _ Doug who emailed lots of activities and answered all the questions! This home truly has it all: tranquility, style, and proximity to adventures. We’re already planning our next trip back—**it’s a gem!!

Sweet Home Carolina was SWEET

Sweet Home Carolina was everything and more. We knew this was going to be a wonderful three days when we walked in the door. A beautiful home with special touches to make us feel at home. These owners thought of everything to make it most comfortable. The home sits atop Waynesville with spectacular views of the mountains.

A Wonderful Stay/A Wonderful Property

This was my wife's and my second stay at this property this year. The house is conveniently located to everything in Western North Carolina. It is beautifully furnished and has everything that a guest could possibly need. There are beautiful long range mountain views from the deck. My wife loves the layout of this house with its great room open to the kitchen. We have stayed at numerous properties throughout the area over the past ten to fifteen years and this is our favorite.

Heaven on earth

This property is a 5 min. drive from downtown Waynesville. The view is amazing and quiet. The home is beautiful with 3 different outdoor sitting areas. We ate out a couple times and ended up cooking in alot to enjoy the view and peacefulness. Buttered Biscuit for breakfast, Frog Level Brewing for lunch and Sweet Onion for dinner. Thank you to The Gosnell's for sharing their retreat with us. If you are in the area and do not stay here, you will miss out on one of the best VRBO's we have stayed at.

Family Time

Beautiful place with nice high ends. Great location to Waynesville downtown but still very secluded for privacy. Steep drive to home but that is very normal for the area. The deck views are amazing, so peaceful. Beds very comfortable. Loved the extra touches with keurig and great selection of tea. Smart TV and loved having Alexa for music. Plan on using next time when in town.

Beautiful house

This house was wonderful. It is very convenient to the downtown stores but located on a hilltop overlooking mountains. The house is beautifully and tastefully furnished. The front of the house has an open floor plan with a huge great room, kitchen, and dining area. There is a laundry off of the great room which was very convenient The kitchen was well stocked. And there are plenty of bath towels. The house was spotless. We loved the deck and its view of the mountains and the 2 patios in the back, which allowed plenty of quiet areas and privacy. It would have been nice to have an extra a 1/2 bath, but I knew this in advance. All in all, this house is a gem!!

Delightful Getaway

This is a beautiful home - just as pictured - inside and out! Only a few minutes out of town but high on a mountain with great views. Very well outfitted, a complete kitchen for folks who want to cook - we prefer to eat out and found a new restaurant - Singletree at Walker Station. We went down to the Farmers Market on Saturday and came home with lots of goodies! Then we went off to Frog Level where they were having a festival. After dinner at Chef's Table on our last night we came home to find two friendly rabbits munching clover in the front yard. The owner was easy to work with and very accommodating - we will be back and have made reservations.

Another excellent experience

It was our 2nd year at this property and it was an absolutely wonderful experience just like last year. The home was exactly as described and came with everything you could possibly need in the kitchen and everywhere else. We will always choose this place above any other if available. Thank you for allowing our family a great vacation spot.

Beautiful home near Downtown Waynesville

From the moment we walked in the door we knew we were in for a treat. This beautiful home was one of the cleanest and most organized homes we have stayed in, and we have stayed in a number, and used to have a VRBO rental ourselves. The flow from the sitting area overlooking the mountains through to the fireplace into the kitchen was calming. You will find attention to details everywhere you look. It rained most of our short stay but we enjoyed the house so much it didn’t really matter. We will be back.
