Cub House is an adorable, lake area townhome that puts the best of Deep Creek at your fingertips! You will love having popular activities and attractions within three miles or less.

Perfect for a single-family vacation or a romantic getaway, Cub House is outfitted with all the essentials for a great Deep Creek Lake vacation. The wood burning fireplace will keep things cozy as you unwind in the great room and watch your favorite show. Stocked with games and puzzles, there is something to keep everyone entertained.

The adjacent kitchen is well-stocked for the chef in your group. There are lots of local restaurants to try, but you can easily make meals and snacks at home too. The dining table and kitchen island give you ample seating for six.

Furnished with a king bed and TV, the first bedroom also has an attached half bath. The second bedroom has two double beds and a TV. Both rooms are decorated with total relaxation in mind.

Located in the heart of Deep Creek Lake, favorite vacation pastimes are within easy reach. It is just a five-minute drive to restaurants, the grocery store, specialty shops, mini golf, arcades, and marinas. You will love being close to Wisp Resort and their year-round adventures! Skiing, golf, snow tubing, ziplines, disc golf, and a mountain coaster are just a few experiences they offer. On top of the mountain, you can take a guided white water rafting excursion on a man-made river!

Overall, the rental was very clean and stocked with all necessities, including a washer and dryer. The beds were very comfortable, and the area was quiet and relaxing. We will be back to visit again.

Great house near Deep Creek Lake-Wisp-Swallow Falls...

Very clean unit/property w free parking and in safe area. Within 2 min of Wisp and close to Deep Creek and an easy drive to Swallow Falls Park and others in the area. Great economical choice vs waterfront expense without sacrificing the professionally handled property.

Weekend Visit

Pros: The property was easy to find and access. The beds were comfortable with plenty of blankets and towels. There were games for the kids and televisions in every room. The kitchen was well stocked. Cons: It smelled very smoky in the property, kinda like a campfire. The front door doesn't lock automatically. There was only one garbage bag in the kitchen which wasn't sufficient. There was also only one roll of toilet paper in each bathroom; we bought our own. The trash is confusing because the instructions say to put it in the container, but there isn't one. We had to call and find out to leave it inside.

Not what I expected

If you are looking to come down in the summer don’t, there is no air conditioning and the listed did not say that when we booked. When I asked about moving places they sent me listings that were way bigger than we needed and pretty much stated too bad, sorry about that. The place smelled very musky and like stale smoke. Also wasn’t a dumpster or trash can on the property so you have to figure out what to do with your trash when it gets full because you can’t set it outside. The few bonuses about this place were that it was a very quiet area and the place was spacious for 3 of us to stay.

Poor management and cleanliness

When we arrived the sidewalk was completely covered with ice which was days after a snow storm. The house had not been vacuumed and the main area heat was not functional (both the thermostat and base board heat were disconnected), there was a dog poop bag at the front door, and the bathrooms were dirty (sinks and toilets). We got in touch with the after hours emergency support and a technician arrived in about 40 minutes (very good!) and when he arrived he slipped and fell on the ice himself. The following day we got in touch with Taylor Made, the property manager, to request a cleaning. Later that day the cleaners took out trash but did not vacuum the house. Very disappointing experience and will definitely not be staying at this property again.
