This mid-century modern A-Frame welcomes you to curl up by the fire beneath 22ft ceilings, enjoying a well-deserved family meal and movie night after a wonderful day on the slopes or enjoying the High Sierra in Summer. You’ll plan your next day in the mountains with floor-to-ceiling views of them right outside. Step out the door and find your stride on the cross-country ski track, groomed daily and inviting you to loop the meadow. Or, if downhill is more your speed, just ask Kirkwood’s shuttle service to pick you up – you’ll be the first stop and on the chairlift in minutes. Whether returning after a day of skiing or cuddled up by the fire with your favorite book, you’ll feel right at home here.

Sunny and bright, you’ll find a large bedroom upstairs with a king-size bed, adjacent to a loft with 4 singles - perfect for the kids. Downstairs is another bedroom, also with a king-size bed… very unusual at Kirkwood. And in between, a tasteful open floor plan facing the meadow which features a dining table with seating up to eight, a 65” OLED Smart TV, decks front and back, and a classic wood-burning stove to keep card games and puzzles galore warm and toasty.

Not a winter family? This A-Frame walk-in cabin is just as inviting in the summer and fall, offering waist-deep wildflower walks through the meadow, renowned hiking and mountain biking trails nearby, and many Alpine lakes nearby to dip into, boat around or simply fish the day away.

Whatever the season, you’ll find A-Frame of Mind just right for your family.  If this is your first time to Kirkwood Mountain Resort, you’ll be drawn to its beautiful and natural setting nestled in the Sierra Nevada mountains of California. You’ll also be delighted to discover that this popular, family-friendly ski resort is known for its challenging terrain and deep snowpack for skiers and snowboarders.  Whether you’re a beginner or an expert, Kirkwood has a plenty of trails for you.

Please note: For property access during winter, must walk on groomed snow approximately 150 feet from parking inlet. Good idea to bring snow boots, flashlights and a shovel for your car. Please only use provided plastic shovels on the deck and steps. This is a walk from where your car is parked.
