Walk anywhere Downtown or stop by at Decode Ypsilanti which is just next door.

Conveniently a short 20-minute drive from the University of Michigan and the surrounding Ann Arbor area.

Located only a quick walk from the Ypsilanti Transit Station so you can take a bus anywhere. During the week, Monday to Friday, there is an express bus route to the Ann Arbor central bus station that takes 30 minutes one way. It is ideal for students or commuters who don't have a car.

Parking available:

- For free up to 4 hours M-F 8am-6pm in the parking lot behind the building

- For an hourly fee M-F 8am-6pm in the parking lot next to Ypsilanti Transit Station (free evenings and weekends)

I loved the downtown location, although it might not be for everyone as downtown is a bit of a ‘gritty’ area. The apartment itself was simple and complete with good communication with the owner. I especially loved the smells from the bakery in the building.

My son and I had a great stay in this apartment during a swim meet at EMU. We especially appreciated the clean, simple, yet classy decor. It was a wonderful environment to relax in, cook a few meals, and feel at home between the swim meet events.

Walkable Neighborhood

Everything we needed was within walking distance (even an Urgent Care). Nice shops, good restaurants, strolling along the river, admiring historic buildings... It was the perfect location for a quick friend reunion. The apartment was comfortable, roomy, well-designed, and had all our needed amenities even for cooking on site. Host was easy to communicate with. Definitely would stay here again.

Ypsi depot apartment

We had a nice stay During our recent trip to visit our son at the University of Michigan, the apartment was nice and clean. The beds were comfortable. The free parking on weekends was appreciated. Since our main focus was seeing our son, we did not explore the area much. Overall, we did enjoy our stay. It was a little noisy on Saturday night, but not enough to interfere with our sleep.

Visiting family

Accurately described and great directions for parking and check-in. The entry light was weird to navigate, especially checking in at night, but turning the switch off and on helped. There was a hole in the ceiling above the stairwell, which I'm sure they will fix, but it's a little jarring to see. The property itself was clean and well-appointed, and the owner was prompt to respond to questions. The check-out process was much lower-impact than many other properties I've stayed at, and I really appreciate that!

Downtown Stay

What a cute renovation to an old building! Upstairs apartment, one of two. Quiet and secluded. Parking is off site, but was not an issue. Very quick response when messaging owner/property manager. Old steep stairwell, make sure you’re in good shape.

This property was very nice, comfortable, clean, cheerful, and stocked with thoughtful amenities for our convenience. This is a great place to relax, watch a movie, and make your own food in a nice kitchen. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with the surrounding area. We would not want to come back to the town of yspitanti at this time, but if you are looking for a place to relax indoors, it is perfect. The owners were very accommodating to us when our plans changed and we needed to adjust our reservation.

Perfect accommodations

This two bedroom apartment was perfect! My husband, son, and myself were in town for a visit to Eastern Michigan University. The location was walking distance to a bunch of restaurants and we were able to explore the area. The property owner even answered my text message when I couldn’t figure the shower out and it was a weee bit late… To top it all off when we were on our way to the airport when our flight got canceled and the only available flight out was the next night the property owner helped set up so we could stay at the apartment one more night. Over all 10 out of 10! I would stay here again!

Football game weekend stay

Host (George) was prompt with communication and helpful. The inside of the unit was very nice and comfortable. You have everything you need. Convenient location close to Depot Town (DT) and surrounding area, but I wouldn’t say walking distance to DT. Only drawbacks are the tall staircase leading to the front door - fine for us, but could be difficult for those less mobile, and the area around the apartment (“interesting” people gather outside the entrance and along the street, and many vacant storefronts make it a less desirable area). Overall, a nice place and would stay there again.

Family event weekend

The apartment itself was quite clean- all updated furniture and linens and seemed to be fresh paint. The only issue we had was the microwave had strangely not been cleaned and was not working, but we didn’t know this until the night before we checked out. (It seems the cleaning crew must have just missed it since the rest of the place was clean.) I messaged the owner on the day we checked out- he was thankful and said the maintenance man had been there to fix it. The location is nice during the day- it is near restaurants, shops and bars, but at night there quite a few homeless people in the area who are extremely loud in the street, and some of them will approach you. Our group was three women and we didn’t really feel safe at night to wander freely on foot to bars or restaurants but parking in the lot behind the building (North Huron) was well lit and we had no issues walking from there to the front door. We were in town for four nights for a family event, so we were really there just to sleep and bathe, and it was a comfortable place to do those things.
