Welcome! This one-bedroom home has a comfy king size bed for a great night sleep after exploring all that Lone Pine and surrounding areas have to offer. You will enjoy the view from the front porch of a quaint little church with Mt. Whitney as your backdrop. The kitchen is fully equipped and there is a washer and dryer available for you to use. Enjoy all the amenities of this nice home and the beauty of the Eastern Sierra! (Note: Motion Camera's at exterior doors)
The cottage was wonderful! It was our home away from home. Our host, Darlene, thought of all of the little things that are greatly appreciated by her guests! I would certainly recommend this vrbo to anyone! We loved it so much, we are returning for two more nights on the back end of our trip!
Again... our second stay was just as great as the first one. The neighborhood is peaceful and the home is well appointed. The one a/c is sufficient as long as all interior doors are open. The extra bonus is that the bungalow is within walking distance to Main Street.
We loved our stay here! It is a very spacious, clean and cozy house. The bed and linens felt like we were sleeping in a five-star luxury hotel. Even the art and decor were warm and inviting. It is conveniently located near restaurants, the market and Mt. Whitney. The neighborhood is beautiful, quiet and safe. I felt comfortable driving my partner and nephew to the trailhead at 1 am and coming back on my own. Owner is very friendly and promptly responded even when I had silly questions. Thank you for a wonderful stay!Picture is of the view from the front porch.
This property is immaculately kept. Every detail was thought of. The kitchen was fully stocked with coffee and cream ready to use. And the bathroom included shampoo and conditioner for our use, which we very much appreciated. The property owners even left out laundry pods so we could go home with clean laundry if we so desired! It was just my 26 year old daughter and myself on this visit, and the space was perfect for 2 but the hosts provided an air mattress for additional guests should you need more space. My daughter also napped on the couch and reports that it is very comfortable too. The street is quiet and well kept. The view of the picturesque little church across the street with the backdrop of the mountains looks like a post card and the house is just a few easy to walk blocks away from main street restaurants and shopping. The wifi made ordering pizza from the local pizza place quick and easy (and the pizza was delicious) and the DVD collection made us smile.
The property was perfect for our stay. All the arrangements were great and as mentioned while booking. We came into the area couple hours early and Darlene was sweet to let us in before the check in time.
I will definitely recommend this place.
Great property and location, really easy to get into death valley and Mt. Whitney! The space is fantastic, ideal for a getaway and Darlene is super helpful as a host! Would definitely stay again.
All of the positive reviews were spot on. Our stay was wonderful and the property provided everything and more. The view from the dining room and front porch is amazing. I canât wait for my next visit.
This was our home base for my friend & I when we hiked Mt. Whitney. Itâs clean & comfortable - the pictures donât do it justice! The bathroom & kitchen are very well stocked. The neighborhood is very safe quiet as well. Canât go wrong with this rental!
Power went out 2nd night. Darlene sent power company who determined a major electrical issue in the house, forcing us out. Darlene issued a full refund. Satisfied.
We would defiantly recommend staying here. The kitchen is the best equipped one for any VRBO we have stayed in. The location make for an easy walk to downtown, it was very clean with a comfortable bed and everything you need for an enjoyable stay. The only real complaint is the water heater is very hot, so you need to be careful to not burn yourself when using hot water. It would also be nice if the refrigerator door was rehung so it faced the kitchen when it was open.
This was such a cute cozy little place to stay in Lone Pine. Very clean with comfortable bed. Had everything stocked in kitchen that you would need. Would definitely come back.
We had a great 3-night stay at Darleneâs bungalow. Everything was exactly as described both in the description and the photos. Itâs a very quiet neighborhood. Easy access to the Alabama Hills and Whitney Portal. Even if you werenât able to score permits for Mt. Whitney you can at least do a 6-7 mile round trip hike to Lone Pine Lake. Itâs gorgeous! Plenty of eateries around town and some interesting attractions in Lone Pine. All in all we highly recommend Darleneâs place!
Darlene's rental was perfect location foe my spouse and I to stay before and after our mount whitney day hike. The location was convenient, the house was clean and comfortable, and the price was very reasonable. Darlene sent out all the info we needed the day before we arrived. We would definitely stay here again if we were in the area!
Great location! Helpful host! Bed isnât too hard (my preference) & kitchen has everything you need. A/C split is in the living room- so gotta keep all of the inside doors open when hot.
This was my second time staying in this cozy, quiet little house. Everything works as it should here. The neighbors are quiet and there's no street noise.
