To address the misinformation and false claims being made: During the entire 9-day stay, Averie and his girlfriend never mentioned a single concern about cleanliness, odors, noise, or discomfort. In fact, when we checked in with them during their stay, they specifically responded that everything was going well. As reflected in our previous guest reviews, our property has consistently been described as clean, well-maintained, and welcoming. We personally inspected the space both before and after their stay, and there was absolutely no odor issue whatsoever — quite the opposite, the property smelled fresh and clean. After contacting VRBO, we were informed that they attempted to obtain a refund, which unfortunately makes these accusations appear less credible and more like an attempt to justify reimbursement. The comments about our dogs are also being exaggerated. We have a few small Pomeranians, and like most dogs, they may bark briefly when excited to go outside. This is minimal, occasional, and has never been an issue raised by prior guests. The statement about the floors being “sticky” is simply false. The property has brand-new luxury vinyl flooring that was installed less than a month ago and thoroughly cleaned before their arrival. There were no issues with the flooring prior to or after their stay. We are also confused by the complaint about our presence in the home. We make an effort to be friendly and personable with guests because we believe hospitality should feel welcoming, not cold or transactional. It is honestly unsettling that guests could stay in someone’s home for over a week, never voice a concern in person or through messages, and then publicly make accusations afterward despite previously stating that everything was fine. At the end of the day, not every hosting style is the right fit for every guest, and based on this experience, we would not welcome these guests back.

Thanks for the great review and the washer and dryer for the unit is in the garage right next to unit … just had to ask to get in as it’s only used for the unit … sorry about then

Regarding the concerns you mentioned, I want to clarify that previous and subsequent guests haven’t noted any issues with odors. However, I completely understand how important comfort is during a stay. In the future, if you ever experience something similar, please don’t hesitate to notify the host right away—we’re always happy to address any concerns promptly. I’ve already informed our cleaner about the dust you mentioned to ensure it’s handled more thoroughly moving forward. As for the towels, we replaced them shortly after your stay, and I apologize if the ones you received weren’t up to standard. Regarding the carpet, it was professionally cleaned last month, but unfortunately, some stains are permanent. This is exactly why we’ve made the decision to replace it with tile soon. Lastly, about the blue sheets—thank you for pointing that out. We do have other sheet options, including white ones, but they were being laundered after the previous guest's stay. If you had let us know during your visit, we would have gladly provided a different set right away to ensure your comfort. Thanks again for your feedback.
