Perfect for couples or a family who wants to get away from the hustle and bustle any time of the year.

The Back Cabin is a quiet refuge and far enough away from town to feel like you are secluded, yet close enough to enjoy all the seasonal activities around McCall, Idaho. This fully remodeled three bedroom, two bathroom cabin sleeps two couples easily, or a family group up to seven. It is located on the west side of Payette Lake, just off Warren Wagon Road.

You can take a stroll on the quiet lane, launch your own SUP or kayak for some adventure on Payette Lake, or listen to the creek just beyond the large entertaining deck. You can even climb up into a timeless tree house for some fun.

The open floor plan creates a gathering space to share time in the kitchen, dining area and living room. This warm and welcoming great room has large windows that look out onto the deck. Curl up on the couch with a book, listen to music, or watch movies on the large flat screen TV. When you're coming in from the wild, the mudroom provides a place to stash extra gear and slip on your comfy shoes.

The fully-equipped contemporary kitchen has new appliances, including an induction stovetop, convection oven, microwave and a French-door refrigerator. You'll find a great assortment of gadgets, cookware and bakeware to make your time in the kitchen enjoyable and convenient for creating family meals. The breakfast bar seats three and the rustic kitchen table has seating for six.

The main level has a full bathroom that connects to an office that also doubles as a bedroom with a queen-size deep mattress murphy bed and French doors to the deck. There is high speed wireless internet throughout the house and deck.

The spiral staircase leads you upstairs to a landing area adjoined by a full bath and master bedroom with a king bed. The upstairs bunk room accommodates sleeping for three with twin platform beds designed with privacy curtains in each nook, reading lamps, and cellphone charging shelves. There is plenty of comfy bedding for all seasons.

Enjoy the amenities this cabin offers: peaceful privacy, large open living spaces, modern conveniences, close access to town, downhill & cross country skiing, as well as snowmobile access points, flat screen internet TV, washer and dryer, and a convenient pellet stove for an extra blast of heat when you most need it. There are kid-friendly items on hand such as a pack-n-play Graco crib, humidifier, toys, games, and puzzles!

This Property has a great amenity – walking distance to a community beach where one can swim and have access to Payette Lake via human propelled vessels such as SUP or kayak. As long as you can carry your SUP or kayak 300 feet and back to The Back Cabin, you can have access to the lake. You must store whatever you bring at The Back Cabin, and provide your own safety equipment, but this is lovely lake access.

The Back Cabin is positioned between numerous snowmobiling launch areas and trails (Green Gate, Frances Wallace) on the west side of town. However, it should be noted, you cannot park your snowmobile trailer at this property. All trailers must be parked elsewhere in town or at launching points. Free overnight parking of snowmobile trailers are allowed at Brush Creek (2 miles), Francis Wallace (3 miles), and Green Gate (1/4 mile).

There is plenty of room for vehicles with sled decks at this property!

This is a residential neighborhood; loud music and partying are not acceptable. If you are planning a gathering that includes this, please look into other rental properties in neighborhoods which accommodate your needs.

LAKE ACCESS, very short walk to lake access point, good for launching kayaks, SUPs, canoes, swimming. Only human powered vessels allowed, can keep those vessels in driveway at the home.

Tree House is closed during winter season.

No Trailers. Three vehicles maximum at all times. No street parking - vehicles must be in driveway. This home has exterior cameras that record motion and sound. Cameras facing driveway.

This home has a two night minimum stay, but some date ranges require a 3 or 4 night stay.

Make yourself at home, but please be respectful of locked cupboards and doors that indicate a private space.

All of our properties have self-check in via keyless entry or lockbox. Guest access codes and check in information will be sent to guests one week prior to arrival.

Check in is any time after 4PM. Check out is at 10AM.

The guest renting this home must be an adult 25 years or older and will be an occupant of the unit during the entire reservation period.

This property is subject to all City of McCall ordinances, including those specific to noise levels, occupancy, and safety.

All reservations must submit identification and sign the DoneRight Management rental agreement w/in 72 hours of booking.

To start your vacation off right, we've provided a day's worth of supplies, including your morning coffee, paper towels, bathroom tissue, and garbage bags. Also provided where required is propane for gas grills and enough wood for indoor fireplace use during your stay. For properties with a fire pit, guests will need to purchase wood, available at several local stores.

Each rental property also includes a guest book with information and tips unique to the home, along with recommendations, local activities and events, local emergency contact information, including how to contact us – we're always just a phone call away.

Our office is located on the corner of North 3rd Street and McGinnis Street in McCall (directly across the street from The Mill restaurant) - stop by and say hello! Our office hours are Monday-Friday 9am to 6pm, and Saturdays from 10am to 4:30pm.

Beautiful!

This cabin was a dream! We loved just staying in the cabin and sitting on the patio listening to nature. The cabin was clean, beautifully decorated, quiet neighborhood, and close to the lake and shopping and restaurants. It fit our family of 7 very comfortably. We would love to stay here again!

We enjoyed our stay in this home. Very clean and great location. Many of the appliances are more high tech than were used to but there were directions for everything !

A beautiful home in a beautiful location

We had a great time at the Back Cabin. This is a beautiful home, well-prepared and maintained. The cabin is located in a quiet wooded area. We saw deer every day we were there munching on the nearby plants. There is a great little playhouse that our boys enjoyed exploring. The home itself has great history, which I enjoyed reading about. The access to the lake was beautiful and easy to find. While we were there, our propane ran out and the property managers brought new propane very quickly, which was really great customer service. All in all, a great experience.

Great getaway!

Great place to getaway for a short or long holiday. Short walk to the Lake. The only challenge is that there is no beach around the access to the lake. However, it is great to put your kayak or paddle board in the water. As for lounging, the area not ideal. Close distance to downtown McCall. Many trails around the cabin to walk or ride bike to.

Perfect luxury cabin getaway!

We loved this cabin in the woods! Was super private and secluded. It was easy to find and had great lake access and dock to use for a boat pick up. The view on the back deck cannot be beat! We spent as much time as we could back there eating breakfast in the mornings and sitting around the firepit in the evenings. The home was recently remodeled and it showed--total luxury but with a quaint, unique vibe. Really appreciated all the small and thoughtful touches like throw blankets, extra lotion in the bathrooms, portable fan, matches and candles, extra propane gas tanks, blackout shades and comfy bedding! The smoker/BBQ was perfect for dinners and the kitchen appliances were top notch. The laundry/mud room was perfect for dropping all of our stuff and shoes and the washer and dryer were easy to use. Both our married kids and younger kids loved it. The treehouse on the property is adorable! Even the piano was a great idea--it kept my 11 year old entertained and off screens. Only suggestions would be to put some sort of handle on the bathroom pocket doors to make them easier to open and close, and a sectional couch would be nice in the family room for cozier family seating. The manangement team was great, and check in was easy. One of the best rental experiences we have had for sure. 11 out of 10 from us--we will be back!

Great experience

This cabin is great. Updated older cabin with all the amenities of a modern home. My family and I had a great time. The only issue we encountered was that there was quite a bit small spiders throughout the cabin.
