This place was fantastic!! Great view of the beach and in a perfect location on Anna Maria Island. During our stay, the host company was very accommodating and responsive. It was a perfect vacation. I will definitely be staying here again!

Disappointing Stay

Property was not as advertised. Master bedroom was missing a window covering and was thus unusable due to lack of privacy. Host was notified within hours of arrival and it was never addressed. Bed in guest bedroom we were forced to stay in was full of hair and sand upon arrival. Pictures of beach view are no longer accurate because there is ongoing construction on the lot next door in between the house and the beach. In the next few months, there will no longer be a beach view. On the plus side, the property is near the beach and most AMI amenities, and interior otherwise reflects online photos.

Good morning William- Thanks for your feedback. Sandy Beach Retreat is correctly listed as we do have pictures of the construction next door and we let all of our inquiring guests know about the construction. Our service tech did indeed stop by the property to address the issue with the master bedroom shower drain and the shades. As explained, the shades were damaged and were on order. Our service removed one panel from the slider and moved the blinds to the area where the shades were missing. I wish you would have let us know about the sand and hair in the bed as it would have been a pleasure to send the cleaner back. We value each and every guest and act with a sense of urgency for any issues. All the bedrooms were usable and we acted as soon as we were notified. Have a great day and thank you for your feedback.

The location is the standout feature of this home. It sits directly on the beach and is just a five-minute walk to Pine Avenue or the Sandbar, with Bean Point only about a 15-minute walk along the beach. While the views are somewhat obstructed, they're still excellent with 5 porches off the front of the home.The house could use some routine maintenance and cosmetic updates. Items such as fresh paint and general upkeep would go a long way, and the kitchen along with some of the furnishings are beginning to show signs of wear.One improvement would be replacing the traditional key entry with a keypad lock. For larger groups, having a door code would be much easier than sharing a single set of keys.The only significant issue we had was with the mattresses in the two master bedrooms. One mattress was clearly worn out, with a pronounced hump in the center and substantial sagging on both sides—enough to make it uncomfortable, especially for anyone with back issues. The other primary bedroom had what appeared to be a newer memory foam mattress, but it was extremely firm, almost like sleeping on a board.Overall, I would stay here again, the location is exceptional, and I feel the home offers good value for the price.

Amazing view! House needs some fixes. Lamps do not have shades or light bulbs. Livingroom couches have electric recliners but the cords didnt reach the outlets. Pool was dirty and not cleaned while we were there. Woke up to no water one morning. Master bathroom toilet had to have the water turned off to stop a high pitch sqeal that woke us up at night. We only turned it on the flush. Bed clothing was dirty. Elevator stopped running each day. By the third day, they never came back to fix it. We had to load up to leave from all three floors using the steps with our luggage with my mother in law that recently had a hip replacement. Great location but needs to upkeep on the property. Has lots of beach items to use along with a wagon.

We strive to provide excellent service whenever maintenance concerns arise; however, we did not receive reports regarding ​t​he master bathroom toilet. To address the points mentioned: the recliners are powered via floor outlets, and an acid wash for the pool will be scheduled to treat the iron spots. Additionally, the cleaner has been removed from our team and the elevator company has been contacted for service. We appreciate your comments and hope to have the opportunity to host you again in the future.
