Great house. great location

We had a wonderful stay. The house was perfect for a family of 8. The pool was also great for the kids and adults when not on the beach. The beach was within short walking distance. The house came with basically everything we needed. Carts to get stuff to the beach, pool toys, games, grill, etc. We would absolutely stay here again.

Great week in Holmes Beach

This is the second year we’ve stayed at the Areca Cove house, and it was excellent again. The owners were very pleasant and easy to work with.

Another wonderful week at Areca Cove

This is the third year the group of old friends met to spend a week relaxing and catching up. Areca Cove provides a beautiful and comfortable setting. The bedrooms are large with comfortable beds, the pool area is perfect and the kitchen has everything you could need. Olaf and Marissa are perfect hosts

Great house and easy walk to the Beach

This was our first trip to AMI and it did not disappoint. 8 total people and this house had everyhting you need. The walk to the beach is really short, you do have to cross a street but there is a walkway with flashing light making it easy. The garage has 2 carts, 8-10 chairs, umbrellas and too many beach toys to count. The pool area is really nice with some shade and a good grill. Inside there is a TV in every bedroom and all the cooking utensils needed. We rented a golf cart, it is pretty easy and fun to get around the island. We liked the Ugly Grouper the best for meals, live music and cold drinks are plentiful. Make sure to go to the beach right before sunset, we took some incredible pictures. My only complaint is the traffic on AMI, sometimes it is easier to take a right out of the neighborhood and then take the first left to get back on the busy road. The owners of this house are very nice and answered every question, we will return.

Relaxing paradise

Perfect house for our group! Great location near restaurants and shopping. Pool is the perfect place to relax after a day at the beach. Third time staying here and plan on returning!!

Wonderful home for a family getaway!

Areca Cove is a wonderful place to stay with family or friends. The accommodation's are great and the hosts are wonderful. Will most definitely be booking again!

We really enjoyed are our stay at Areca Cove. It was a beautiful house and only a short walk to the beach. The owners were great to work with. We are looking forward to staying at this house again next year!

Perfect Island Getaway!

We had an incredible stay at this beautiful home on Anna Maria Island! The house was absolutely immaculate—spotlessly clean and clearly very well cared for. With four spacious bedrooms, it easily accommodated our group, and everyone had plenty of room to relax and unwind.The house was very well stocked with everything you would need. Kitchen, laundry , bathroom essentials and even beach towels, games and books. The beach gear/ wagons were great! The owners even included a very helpful binder of information about the house and island. I have never been greeted on arrival and departure by homeowners before but Marissa was there for both and was very kind and informative. Olaf texted to check in and they were available for questions. The location was fantastic and peaceful, yet close to everything Anna Maria Island has to offer. The beach was an easy walk down the street and the trolley was right across the street. Manatee Public Beach was very close as well. We would absolutely stay here again and hope to next year as our mother was unable to join due to an injury. I would highly recommend this house for anyone looking for an amazing, stress-free getaway.

Family vacation

This property was the perfect house for our family vacation. Location was perfect. The pool was our favorite! Super clean, great layout and felt perfectly at home staying here. Usually like to try different places but would be more than happy to come back to this property. Fabulous!

Family vacation on Anna Maria Island

Our group of 7 adults were very pleased with Olaf and Marissa’s home! Everything was exactly as presented plus more! Comfy and spacious, every bed very comfortable! Centrally located on the island, easy access to the beaches and restaurants. We had a fantastic time and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a perfect home base to explore the island from.

Everything you want in a near to the beach house rental

This property is a stunner and so well looked after by Olaf and Marissa. They met us at the door at arrival to familiarize us with the house and give us the keys. They are always available and live nearby. The house was very clean and well-appointed. We also made good use of the pool when the beach was too windy; perfect mix of sun and shade. We hope to return to this property next year!

The perfect get away

This house and the owner are excellent. The house was super clean and well organized. The house is fully stock. Very spacious house. The location is perfect. It’s close to everything but still you have your privacy. The beach is just around the corner. Also the pool area has everything you need and the pool temperature it’s always perfect. The owner received us at house and made us feel welcome. We love it!

Relaxing and fun stay!

Our family had a fantastic stay at Areca Cove! The house was clean, comfortable, and had absolutely everything we needed for a weeklong stay with our 3 teens. The layout was great with room for both family time and alone time, and the kitchen was set up so well and very well stocked with cooking supplies. The location is amazing - short walk to an incredible beach and right next to the trolley stop, without feeling like you’re on a main road. We had a great time walking to both ends of the island, had some great meals at local restaurants, and got the vacation break we all needed. Olaf and Marissa were communicative, kind, proactive, and made our stay wonderful (even helping out when we left some things behind!). We would stay again in a heartbeat! Thanks Olaf and Marissa!

Best VRBO experience ever

This was by far the best rental property I've ever stayed in. The home was immaculate, well-maintained, and the communication with the owners was incredible. They were responsive to questions and needs and were wonderful to work with. We had plenty of space for our group of 4 adults and 4 kids/teens. My only suggestion would be to add some hooks on the back of the bathroom door in second floor master to help with hanging bathroom towels. Honestly, the home could not have been better. I can't wait to rent again!

Areca Cove ... home away from home!

Areca Cove was an awesome place to spend two weeks! The pictures accurately represent the property listing plus more. The beach is a short walk across the busy main road on Anna Maria Island, but there is a signed crosswalk that stops traffic making it an easy walk to multiple public beach options. Manatee beach is a short walk to access to a great souvenir shop, an ice cream shop (yum!), food and beverage choices, and daily live music - which we enjoyed often. Anna Maria Island has a trolley - and the pick-up spot is very close to this home. The free (really its free) trolley can take you to the North (beach, shops, restaurants) and South (beach, etc.) ends of the island as well as has multiple stops including Bridge Street where there are a number of unique shops, places to eat, and the marina. So much to do and see! In addition, it is a short walk to a grocery store. Loved coming back from the beach to rinse off in the heated outside shower before jumping into the heated pool to enjoy the afternoon sun. Lastly, I can't say enough about this property owner; he was responsive and informative regarding the property as well as recommendations for Anna Maria Island. Typically, we prefer to try other locations but have booked a return trip to this property in 2024.
