Villa Iguana, cette belle addition à la communauté de Soliman Bay.
De sa palapa au bord de la plage à sa terrasse sur le toit pour bronzer, cette maison ne manquera pas de s’affirmer! , Villa Iguana est une magnifique villa de 5 chambres à coucher, 5 salles de bain, face à la plage.
Oui les gens, cet endroit est absolu en bord de mer, avec une liste complète de commodités, nous pensons que la Villa Iguana est l'endroit à être!

La cour avant est impeccablement entretenue et comprend une grande terrasse pour les repas, à l’abri de la brise marine. L'étage inférieur est un espace ouvert salon / salle à manger / cuisine. Un superbe ensemble de canne de salon comprend des coussins rembourrés qui attirent positivement le touriste sans méfiance. Un miroir géant et des luminaires uniques donnent à cette pièce une touche dramatique.

Les doubles portes coulissantes en verre mènent à une terrasse couverte et à la piscine. Détendez-vous dans l'une des nombreuses chaises longues et commencez vos vacances! Une belle palapa de plage fournit de l'ombre et l'endroit idéal pour suspendre un hamac. Les Caraïbes succulentes sont toujours bleues, toujours scintillantes et Villa Iguana fournit du matériel de plongée et des kayaks pour que vous puissiez vraiment en profiter!

Les chambres ont toutes une salle de bain privée, spectaculairement finie avec du carrelage Talavera. La première chambre d'amis est en bas et ouvre directement sur la piscine. Les chambres principale et la deuxième chambre sont situées au deuxième étage et possèdent chacune une terrasse privée. Équipé de chaises longues, votre café du matin n’a jamais été aussi délicieux que sur votre balcon personnel avec vue sur la baie de Soliman.

La quatrième chambre est située sur le toit et dispose d'un toit en palapa. La cinquième chambre est l’adorable maison d’hôtes située dans le jardin de devant. D'immenses baies vitrées permettent à une brise de mer presque constante de redynamiser vos sens, et dormir sous un toit en palapa au son de la mer des Caraïbes vous fera penser au paradis.

La Villa Iguana dispose également d'Internet par satellite gratuit et de la télévision par satellite. Le service de ménage complet et le jardinage sont inclus dans le prix. Villa Iguana

The property is beautiful. Paradise. The caretakers kept the Villa pristine and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Manuel and Araceli cooked a number of dinners for us and a special Mayan breakfast. Our family greatly enjoyed the pool and beach. Snorkeling, kayaking and paddle boarding ng added to the fun. All in all it lent itself to a memorable family vacation,

House was a dream!

The property was great! We had a group of five couples from Atlanta. Mynar and Claudia were the highlight. They cooked 6 meals for us and they were all fantastic. Lobster and Whole grilled fish were highlights. We never had to lift a finger as they kept everything clean and organized. The outdoor spaces were perfect. Many different places to hang out from loungers on the beach, shaded hammocks, outdoor sectionals, and poolside lounge chairs. The bay was great. Seaweed was a little troublesome, but they did their best to keep up with it. We were a little disappointed with Tulum in general. Some of our travelers weren't as comfortable in the area as we hoped. We got shaken down for a bribe by a police officer and while he was very polite about it, it was still a bit freaky. If we could take this house and especially Mynar and Claudia and plop it down in a different locale, we would return over and over again.

House on the Beach in Tulum - Villa Iguana

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great time. The house was plenty big for two couples and we would recommend for larger parties.Manuel and Araceli were wonderful hosts and we loved meeting their three kids as well. The meals they prepared for us were delicious. Manuel was full of helpful information and assisted in making reservations. It would have been nice to be able to walk to markets and more than one restaurant. Pandana Restaurant was wonderful. The food, service and atmosphere was hard to beat.The towns of Tulum and Akumal are tourist driven and the prices are higher than in the United States and taxis were $60 USD+ for 15 minutes or less.The setting of the house with the "private beach" was perfect and Soloman Bay was peaceful without peddlers or vendors.The house is for sell and it is apparent the homeowners don't want to invest in repairs or upgrades.

The water is crystal clear and the reef right off shore has amazing snorkeling. Pandano's restaurant is a 9min walk down the beach and has a bar as well. Amazing food and beverages. Only issue was the property is in need of some TLC. Water pressure is abysmal and there were some maintenance issues. The property manager and the staff were excellent though. Worked hard to make our stay fantastic. Oh, and the internet was as advertised. Fast and dependable. 4.9 stars overall for sure.

Rooms with a View

It was an adventure every morning going outside to the beach hammock or sitting poolside watching the iguanas. Our caretakers were welcoming and always available if we needed something. Only complaint was the noise from the adjacent villa which lasted most of the day and into the night. Neighborhood security dealt with them and our remaining trip was peaceful. The property manager acted quickly when alerted to the problem and worked to resolve the issue. A few suggestions regarding updates. Appliances are old and need to be replaced and the kitchen desperately needs an update, along with new pots and pans. Adding AC to the main living area would make rainy evenings much more comfortable. We played cards but it was too hot to last long. Overall, we had a great time and would definitely return.

Laidback week at Villa Iguana.

Fantastic stay at Villa Iguana! Myniar and Claudia were awesome. They kept the place spotless. The 5 meals they cooked for us were better than any restaurants we eat at. Location is great for many activities. The beach and snorkeling are great, with the exception of lots of seaweed on shore. They tried to keep up with removing it but there was just too much. Paddle boarding and kayaking were good also. One paddle board was missing a fin and paddle. We would come back for sure.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Beautiful location & lots of outdoor seating. Amenities like paddle boards, kayaks were appreciated and used a lot. Very disappointed with the following: NO KEY for the Casita (5th bedroom) and NO SAFE. The description indicates a safe for each bedroom and 2 of the 5 did not have a safe. When I asked about a key I was told that the property was safe. Well okay, but not acceptable. We finally got a key but were charged for the cost of getting one cut. A few small items were that there were not Hair Dryers provided in each room or soap, we did get these finally a few days later. It seemed as though there were limited resources for items like extra beach towels and bath towels. All in all a very good vacation with the family but a little more attention to detail as far as keys and safes would have made our vacation more enjoyable and we would have given top marks.

Another amazing vacation at Villa Iguana

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our 5th stay at Villa Iguana and we all had a great time overall. We keep coming back every year because we love the house, the location and especially Myner and Claudia as they do such an amazing job taking care of the house and all guests. Our group consists of some excellent cooks and we always look forward to cooking delicious local foods on our vacation so my biggest issue is the oven. It just doesn't work properly at all so we were unable to cook many of the things we had planned. The stove top is fine, but oven is not and really needs to be replaced. The qualify should represent the house but is currently lacking. Also the 2 slightly functioning refrigerators is off-putting. It has been that way for a couple of years now but should be addressed as it takes away from the qualify of the house. The other concerning thing is the amount of parties going on in Soliman Bay now. The house next door had 4 different groups of people during our 2 week stay and all they did was party at all hours. If we wanted that atmosphere, we would stay in Tulum. Soliman Bay should do more to protect the peaceful vibe they always had. It would be heartbreaking to see it become a party place.

10days in Tulum spent time in Soliman Bay

We loved our stay in Tulum. 4 of us stayed in the Hotel Zone the first half of the week then moved to Villa Iguana in Soliman Bay for the second half of the week with a group of 6 couples! The house staff were incredible and so helpful. The house itself was so very well-maintained and gorgeous. We spent must of our time outside enjoying the sunshine and the beach. We felt very safe in this area and enjoyed the Pandano bar and restaurant. This is the only restaurant in Soliman Bay that is also a 5 star resort. The only this I would mention is that the sargassum (seaweed) was honestly insane how much piled onto the beach and extended way out to sea. It was almost impossible to ignore because it has a stench due to the heat. You can see staff on the entire strip of the beach trying to remove what they can but it was never ending. Once you took the kayaks past the mounds of seaweed the water was gorgeous. It’s about 30-40mins from Hotel Zone and 20ish from downtown Pueblo so if you’re a group planning on going back and forth between those areas we’d recommend renting a car because the taxis add up and is not the easiest to locate. There are no grocery stores around so you will also need a car for groceries if you do not hire a chef (10/10 would recommend - Chef Pepe was amazing!) we had our groceries delivered and had almost all our meals prepared besides a few when we went out to dinner. Overall, such a great experience we will never forget our time in Tulum!

Blissful Private Setting on Dazzling, Crystal Clear Soliman Bay!

First let me say that we researched hundreds of properties before deciding on Villa Iguana...and we were in no way disappointed! Ultimately Villa Iguana had everything we were looking for -- a stunning isolated beach, a spacious home with plenty of bedrooms, and lots of multi-use outdoor space. In short -- privacy, privacy, privacy! Let's begin with the outdoor living space since that's where we spent 90% of our time. Just outside the sliding door of the indoor living/dining area, there's a covered outdoor veranda with sitting and dining spaces, where we found ourselves convening in the mornings with coffee and books and again at lunchtime. Just beyond the covered porch is a small but well-maintained pool, a row of six comfortable chaises (easily moveable to take advantage of the sun), two more chaises with pristine views of the ocean, two large and comfortable cushioned seating areas (both shaded), three hammocks under a palapa, and finally eight loungers right on the beach. So, you see, there are many different options depending on your desire for sun or not. We happened to experience quite a bit of wind the first three days, making it difficult to lay at the beach, so protected areas were welcomed. We were surprised that no one else had mentioned the wind in their reviews, so maybe it was a one-off for early March. Thankfully, though, we had very little sargosa (seaweed) and no bugs to speak of, so that was a bonus. Our ONLY complaint about the outdoor space was that it would have been helpful to have a gas grill, as it was tricky to light the charcoal in the wind and a bit of a pain to do it twice a day, if we opted to grill at both lunch and dinner. And we often did because the indoor kitchen, while fairly well-equipped, was quite dated. It's no wonder they didn't show it along with the other photos of the interior spaces (note: no dishwasher). Claudia and Minar were around in the early mornings -- very lovely and helpful (Puffed Cheetos as fire starters, who knew?!) -- but they retreated by 11 am which left us with all the clean-up/dishes. Otherwise, the interior was quite attractive with beautifully tiled en suite bathrooms and comfortable(ish) firm beds. However, the TVs in each bedroom did not replace the fact that there was no communal sitting area in which to convene as a family to watch a movie/show (hint: bring a laptop and an HDMI cord and crowd into a bedroom). Honestly, you can't go wrong with VI and that dazzling Bay!

Let's begin with the outdoor living area because that's where we spent 90% of our time. Just outside the screened door of the indoor living/dining area, there's a covered outdoor area where we found ourselves convening in the mornings with coffee and books and again at lunch. Just beyond the covered porch is a small but well-maintained pool, a row of six comfortable chaises (easily moveable to take advantage of the sun), two more chaises with views of the ocean, two large and comfortable seating areas (both shaded), three hammocks under a palapa, and finally eight loungers right on the beach. So, you see, there are many different options for seating depending on your desire for sun or not. We happened to experience quite a bit of wind the first two days, making it difficult to lay at the beach, so protected areas were welcomed. (We had very little sargosa seaweed though!)Our ONLY complaint about the outdoor space was that it would have been helpful to have a gas grill, as it was tricky to light the charcoal in the wind and a pain to do it twice a day if we wanted to grill at lunch and dinner. And we did bc the dated kitchen, while well-equipped, was far from a chef's kitchen (note: no dishwasher). Otherwise, the interior was quite lovely with beautiful en suite bathrooms and comfortable(ish) beds. However, the TVs in each bedroom did not replace the fact that there was no communal sitting area in which to convene as a family to watch a movie/show (hint: bring an HDMI cord and crowd into a bedroom).In closing, our visit was outstanding and Claudia and Minar were both lovely and helpful (Cheetos as fire starters?!), present in the mornings while also giving

The staff was friendly and attentive, the house was clean & well kept up. We had a problem with one of the air conditioners on the third floor and they replaced it immediately. Loved our stay, would go there again any day!

This house is a beautiful, well kept & safe property within a few feet of a protected bay. The staff is honest and caring, and every need was met with enthusiasm and a smile. Chef Emilio Talancon was EXCELLENT! Unbelievable exquisitely prepared meals lovingly prepared for us twice a day. It was a luxury with a very reasonable price.

Nice stay at Villa Iguana, paradise found minus the Sargasso

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family and I had a very nice stay at Villa Iguana. Overall the villa is very nice and has a perfect location. In addition, we opted for full meal-service which was really good. Thank you, Claudia, and Maner(?). We did however suffer significantly from the seaweed. I read about the problem before but could not appreciated the dimension of the problem before coming there. The stench and the wall of Sargasso in different levels of decomposing really took a bite out of our vacation. I would not go back if there is seaweed.Kitchen needs a general upgrade and please replaces the corroding metal latches and hooks on kayaks and other water-toys as at least 50% where corroded through. I suspect the decomposing Sargasso is not helping in this area as everything metal in the house that was not of a high standard began to corrode including loos change. Without the Sargasso this place is really nice and relaxing, I recommend it.

Paradise for a multi-generational family group

We choose this villa because it had such a nice outdoor area with a pool and right on the beach in a safe area away from the bustle of town...and it delivered more than expected! Our family trip included kids, parents and grandparents so it was important to have options for everyone. The bay is protected by a reef so our tween boys were able to swim and snorkel safely right in front of the house. We took the kayaks out and moored on the reef directly in front of the house to find excellent snorkeling (we ventured out one day to check out other snorkeling spots but quickly found out the snorkel spot at the house was the best and nobody else was there!). There are several outdoor areas to make use of - chairs and hammocks right on the beach to get a tan or take in the view, a few steps back toward the house but before the pool there are two seating areas on either side of the yard with beach/ocean views but a little more shady and private (great for grandparents to read and sip cocktails while watching the kids play and taking in the ocean view, at the pool there are lounge chairs both in the shade and sun, the patio directly off the house has a huge table for dining, and a seating area for hanging out close to the house. I think we only went inside to sleep!! Claudia cooked us dinner several times and we ate like kings! She's a fantastic cook and the portions were big enough that there was lunch leftovers the next day. Definitely have her cook for you! Myner (spelling?) kept the grounds perfect. The inside of the house was very nice too w/ comfy beds. Although very private with lots of vegetation (you can't really see your neighbors) the houses are quite close together. We had kids and so did the houses on either side so there was a lot of joyous laughter etc. Silence lovers take note! You can't choose your neighbors :) there might be kid noise. Joyful kid noise lovers there will likely be new friends for your kids to meet.

The Villa is just beautiful inside and out and Claudia and Mynard are absolutely wonderful and accommodating. We had 3 delicious dinners prepared by both of them. You can certainly tell that they want you to be happy! We snorkeled with turtles, stingrays and so many colorful fish. We kayaked and learned how to paddle board too. The weather was just perfect and the meal we had at Pandano down the bay at the Jashita was second to none! What a week! Loved it!
