Enjoyed our stay at shelter cove. Pool was clean and not crowded. Really liked the outdoor grilling area. Saw manatees at the marina. Perfect stay!

We had a wonderful family stay in Hilton Head! The place was clean, the pool was great, and the location felt private while still being close to restaurants, the beach, and bike paths. The 3rd floor loft was especially beneficially for working and taking zoom meetings etc away from everyone else. The host and rental agents answered all my questions and pointed us toward bike and crib rentals, which made everything easy. One thing I overlooked was the lack of an elevator, which made managing an infant, stroller, and gear a little more challenging—but that was my own oversight for not checking beforehand. Overall, a great stay with lovely family memories!

Great spot in Shelter Cove

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our first time staying in the Shelter Cove, highly convenient to navigating the island. We could see the Shelter Cove fireworks from the large window/deck. Pool was clean, clear, and had a great temperature to be refreshing on hot days. Really enjoyed the grill and refrigerator by the pool. Unit itself was clean and comfortable. Would definitely recommend.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is a great unit, it was clean, the beds were comfortable, and had everything that we needed to enjoy our stay. I would stay here again. My only complaint has nothing to do with the unit but there are no sidewalks unless you make your way through paths back to the marina area of shelter cove.

Great condo. Clean and updated and right beside the pool. We would come back to this condo again. Plenty of room for my family and it has everything you would need for a great stay.

The Villa condo was the perfect size and location for our family vacation. The extra amenities (pool and hot tub) were an added bonus for our 9-year old granddaughter! I think she would still be floating around the pool if she could! Rooms were all clean and kitchen fully stocked with necessities for cooking and entertaining. Love the large bonus room with two beds. Thanks for helping create happy family memories.

They charge a 300 dollar cleaning fee but the only thing they clean are the bed sheets and towels. Fan blades were dirty in all rooms, mold in the bathrooms and master bedroom, refrigerator water and ice filter needed changed, floors were dirty, tiles were loose on the floor, fan on wall was rigged so when my daughter turned it on it fell and hit her, fan on porch the gears were stripped on it so didn’t work properly, the washer and dryer was not maintained well at all and the dryer motor seized up on the first load, carpet is really dirty never been cleaned, the track system for the fans on the ceiling is all falling off the ceiling was not installed properly, drawer handles were rigged so when you tried opening a dresser drawer the handles would come off, host doesn’t answer there phones so it took 3 days to get someone to come look at all the problems, host wanted to send a property manager in the morning i asked if he could come in the afternoon since we wouldn’t be back til then they said ok but then he called me at 1030 am from inside the place asking questions he had no clue so that was a waste of time.The good to this place was. All the year round owners were all very nice and helpful, the pool is amazing, we got to see an alligator swimming around in the pond from the window of this place.

Great spot, close to everything

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Lovely, clean and spacious unit. Bedroom upstairs with 2 beds is huge. Close to everything. To get to the beach, you need to take a shuttle, but the pick up and drop off is very quick and convenient. Be aware that this unit has a flight of stairs to get up to it. Island Time was very responsive after hours when we checked into our original unit that clearly had had a dog staying it in and we needed to move.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Place is ok for short stay if you’re not cooking. Kitchen is awkward cabinets in poor condition. Master bath needs updating. Shower is awkward to turn on without getting into tub. Takes long time for water to get hot. Vanity has no drawers. Toilet is ancient requires multiple flushes. Beds were comfortable but no drawers for clothes if a long stay. Pool area was lovely

Clean and comfortable

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: 4 guys on a golf trip and looking for a place to stay. We didn't need fancy as we weren't planning on being in the unit except to sleep. The beds and couches were very comfortable. The bathrooms were clean and there was plenty of hot water for showers. The location, being mid-island, was great for access to everywhere on the island. We walked over to the HH Social kitchen for breakfast and the Mexican place for dinner. One thing to note is that this is a second floor unit with no elevator and there are additional stairs inside the unit. It wasn't a problem for us, but if you have mobility issues, you should go somewhere else. It's not on the beach, but overall, we were quite content and would stay here again

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Loved that the location was easy walking distance to Shelter Cove, but expect a 13ish min bike to the beach. A few things “weren’t as they seemed” w/the unit.. for bath lovers, couldn’t get the tub faucet to work in the MBR, no lock on the second bedroom king sized BR, construction & sawdust underneath our unit all wk, mold on MBR ceiling. Thankful Hayley helped us figure out the unit had a “misprint” on sleeping 10 ppl. They quickly helped reimburse for an air mattress which our 6ft teen slept on all wk w/out complaint. The unit was reasonably priced so knowing that offset the complaints listed above. Just don’t expect updated bathrooms, but trendy decor & a pool out your door...

Thank you for your feedback, Kara. For beach access we recommend taking the Dunes Buggy for drop off if you did not want to take your bike. This is a free shuttle in Palmetto Dunes. For the bathtub, we wish you would have let us know your troubles to offer assistance in using the tub. It has a push/pull diverter and you can’t pull it out with the water running.

Excellent Villa!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a wonderful stay at this Villa! It looked exactly like the pictures. The balcony might even be better than the pictures show because there is a little sliver of the marina that you can see and watch boats go by and lots of birds and wildlife in the pond. The property itself is older, but this unit has had a lot of updates including new appliances that worked well. It was also very clean, and comfortable. The location is amazing, just walk across the property and you're at the Shelter Cove Marina with all the boating and kayaking activities that offers. It is also centrally located on the island so nothing is a far drive or bike ride away. The only thing I would caution is it is located up 2 flights of stairs so if someone has mobility issues that could be very difficult. The reward for that though is the views. Overall this is an excellent property in a great location that made for a very enjoyable week for our family of 4, 2 adults a 13 and 11 year old. Island Time was also great to work with and made everything easy. We would for sure return to this property when we come back to Hilton Head

Marina Condo

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This property looks good in the photos but doesn’t look as good in person. There were multiple issues with the condo aside from the fact that it needed a very thorough cleaning. The kitchen lacks storage space for food so we had to keep non-refrigerated food on the countertop and in a tote. The kitchen is not stocked very well (we could only find one sauce pan and no cookie sheet). There was mold on the ceiling and vent in the master bathroom. The walls were dirty. The rugs had not been vacuumed. The dining table was so small that it was tight for four people. The washing machine and dryer are stacked in a small closet and they were not joined together properly as the dryer was apart from the washer. The rental company was fantastic to deal with, but we will not rent this particular unit again.

Condo was well equipped, and we enjoyed our time there. Lots of steps to get there if that’s an issue for you. Master bath needs improvement, tub shower that’s difficult to get in and out of, no grab safety bar and the bottom was slippery. Needs to be addressed. Other than that it was all good.
