Would like to inform you that we are presently working in making our property hurricane secure and more pleasant by installing new windows and doors that would not require hurricane shutters and will seal the property from sounds and elements better... along with other touches that include video streaming and other scheduled maintenance. Thank you Ashley for providing our futures guests the opportunity to read about your stay in our second home.... I'm happy to report that all of our family and friends are fine ( Thank God ) from Hurricane Irma. Port Largo Villas suffered mostly downed trees and some damages to the docks ( from rising waters ) but nothing happened to our buildings and our property did not suffer any damages. Things seem to back to normal with bussiness opening since last week. Hope to hear from you during your next Key Largo Vacation Experience. Thank you The Hernandez Family.

Clean, spacious, and comfortable.

The location was very closed to pretty much everything we needed. The apartment was clean and it was very pleasant having a kitchen to cook a hot meal. Will be staying here on our next visit.

We hated to leave

The condo was bright, quiet and walkable to restaurants with good food and live entertainment. Furnishings and art work were very tasteful. Appliances were modern and updated and The washer/dryer made laundry convenient. The neighborhood was beautiful and safe. We had everything we needed for our month long stay.

great location

we (2 couples) enjoyed our stay very much, the appartement is really nice, comfortable bedrooms, we loved having our breakfast on the large balcony. brilliant place to start some tours in the keys ( wed did a snorkling tour in key largo and went to key west for a day trip). Juan is a great host, communication was excellent. we can stronly recommend his appartment.

We would return here in a minute. Enjoyed Juan and Martha’s second home.

This condo was spacious and comfortable. Kitchen was fully stocked with utensils, flatware and dishes. TV included cable with HBO. Close to many good restaurants and activities. Highly recommend.

Lovely property

Loved the wrap around porch. We spent the evenings enjoying the live music from our porch. Beds where very comfy and if you like to cook the kitchen is well appointed. But why cook when Skippers is just across the street. Our scuba divers where able to walk to the docks.

Beautiful property; furnished with excellent taste

This property’s appliances are all new. The house is light-filled with brand new shades. It is conveniently located to restaurants, groceries, and entertainment. The view from the balcony is outstanding. Juan, the host, is most accommodating and easy to communicate with. I recommend this property to all comers. 5 stars!

My best winter

Juan was very accommodating. The unit is beautiful and the decks are wonderful. There are several decks which come in very handy. Vaulted living room ceiling provides spacious feel. Will come next year as well

Wonderful Views

We spent time enjoying the view of the canal and listening to music every evening on the deck ! The condo is close to several restaurants and bars . We really enjoyed kayaking at John Pennekamp State Park . My husband and son dove the Christ of the Abyss and a wreck with rainbow divers! After long busy days we where very pleased with the comfortable beds . Thanks Juan

Great Location at a Great Price

We stayed at the property for several days while diving with Ocean Divers. PERFECT location -- we walked to the dive shop each morning. We were able to enjoy the balcony in the evenings - there is a ceiling fan on the balcony to help with air movement. Would recommend to others - easily sleeps 4 (our group consisted of 2 couples). The only issues we encountered was not enough lighting in some areas of the condo and a few maintenance issues that need to be addressed, but it wouldn't change my mind to return!

Thank you for your feedback. It's is very important for us (and for our past and future guests) to know how things are. We did find the mysterious issue with the bedside lights. The GFICI Switch in the master bathroom button was depressed and needed to be reset! We also found (not mentioned/reported) that the ceiling fan in master bedroom was making unacceptable noises and was replaced with a new one. We also changed all the bulbs to energy efficient bulbs to correct the lighting issues as well as to maintain our ever increasing utility bills better controlled. loved it!

We loved this property. Cute and well sized and well appointed. I am a scuba diver- there is a dive shop 400 feet from the property. Two restaurants 400 feet away. Great location on the island. We almost forgot to use the pool and hot tube- but we did squuze in a soak one evening.

Sounds like you had a wonderful time in our second home. Without doughs the best scuba diving and snorkling reefs in North America are located in Key Largo. Beautiful to experience. Great condo in wonderful location

Our 4 night stay was overall very, very nice. Condo is comfortable, updated and spacious. The location was awesome, we were able to dock our boat right outside the condo. Very secluded and safe. Just be prepared to carry groceries, suitcases, etc up to the 3rd floor! Great exercise! Fuel for boat was just around the next canal and the reefs we snorkeled at were beautiful. Owner was very responsive and nice to deal with. We will definitely be back! Would highly recommend this condo for a Keys vacation.

Lovely, spacious condo. We were two couples traveling together and it worked well for us. Comfortable beds, big balcony. Being able to rent a boat slip nearby was the main reason we chose this condo. We had to use a ramp several miles away at Harry Harris Park, but once we put the boat in the water, we we able to keep it in the canal right behind the condo. The run out to the beautiful snorkeling reefs was easy from this location. There are two restaurant/bars within walking distance, and lots of shops and restaurants within a short drive. Loved our week in Key Largo!

Cruising out of the beautiful canals to the ocean by boat from our docks is one of my favorite things to do. The proximity to the reefs once you are out of the canal is amazing. Beautiful. Amazing Stay

I worked remotely from Juan's condo for a month and it was a very enjoyable experience. The apartment location is great! We enjoyed walking up and down all of the nearby canals after a long day of work. It is in a safe neighborhood around many local (and delicious!) restaurants. We had a car, but we loved that we could just walk to many places. The condo is spacious and was equipped with everything you need to enjoy your stay. The condo community is kept up very neat! We loved going to the pool on the weekends to cool off and became friends with some of the others in the community. Juan is a great host and very responsive. We loved our stay and will be back in the future!

Not what we had expected and certainly not "exquisite"

We traveled to Key Largo for the first time in April 2017 with another couple. We booked this particular condo unit based on the past positive reviews. Although the correspondence from Juan was excellence, we were all highly disappointed with the condo. Upon arrival, you find completely dead plants on the front porch. We should have known then. =/ The kitchen cupboards were overly jammed with old pots and pans. Many unusable due to prior food burning. You had to get down on your hands and knees to even reach into the cabinetry to find something usable. The kitchen window over the sink was broken and the only way to keep it open was by jamming a coaster tile in it to prop it up. The main bath walls and cove base were filthy with past dirt and gunk completely visible. Only 1 light bulb worked out of 5 above the sink in the master bath. Several cove bases were completely missing in the kitchen cabinet bases. Just raw wood with ugly glue stains. Juan told us he has a "professional cleaning company" service the unit. Obviously, as the condo is in general just plain dirty, they are not serving the unit "professionally". While the location is great and again Juan's correspondence very good, we would not recommend staying here unless things sincerely improved and changed for the better.

Thank you for taking the time to provide us with feedback on what was an apparent unsatisfactory experience...before even entering the property... In regards to the plants... They are succulents and have different stages during the year. The kitchen Plates, Silverware, Pots/Pans, Drinking Glasses and Wine Glasses are all less than (1) year old... The Kitchen window will be reported to The Port Largo Villas Office ( they repair all external issues)... We did not know this. Thank you. The lights were reported by our other guests and the issue was corrected at once. We are having problems with those halogen bulbs in the Master Bath latterly. Lights bulbs do go bad, but not that frequently... The travertine ( marble ) tile in the bathrooms have that particular look to them. However. I can assure you that they were clean. I can also assure you that this review will be discussed with our cleaning company as constructive feedback is key for all of us. We are proud of our second home and the incredible value ( both monetary and pleasant/memorable ) that it offers to our guests. Very enjoyable

We returned to Juan's condo July 2022 and again very much enjoyed our time there. Juan is very responsive to any need that arises, the condo is very comfortable and equipped with everything we needed. We loved having our boat outside our door, going snorkeling, and dining at the nearby restaurants. Hope to return again!

The villa was very nice and located in a perfect place! Neighbors were very nice as was the nearby restaurants. I would certainly stay again.

Juan Fernandez' condo was excellent very clean, nicely decorated and equipped.

Very nice unit overlooking canal and boat docks where I kept my boat. Neighbour's all very friendly and helpful.

Beautiful apartment and attentive host

The apartment is beautiful. The location is great. During our stay the others guests and residents were very friendly. There was a slight mix up with housekeeping upon our arrival, but Juan dealt with it immediately and allowed us a late checkout as compensation. There are a few minor maintenance issues that should be dealt with, but nothing that would hamper you and your guest from having a wonderful stay. I can highly recommend this apartment and as well would certainly recommend Juan as a host if he has other properties.
