Excellent communication from the host to guide check-in, all appliances top notch, kitchen outfitted with good range of dinnerware, small appliances, pots and pans etc, residence comfortable and lagoon and pools great fun. Host provides bikes, tennis rackets, games and many other things for family activities.
Such a great little property in a awesome community! A from the host he was such a nice person and communicating was superior would definitely rent again!
Kawama villa's are located in a quiet area; with a lagoon, 2 pools, ocean/beach. We used bikes and kayaks, and enjoyed some "seniors" activities, too.. Sunsets were beautiful.
Easy to get to everything. Wonderful unit. Well stocked, clean & comfortable. Bedrooms both upstairs so be prepared for that. Made it difficult with bad knee but bathroom on each floor made it work.
We stayed a week in the wonderful resort at Kawama. The lagoon was right in front of our unit. There were beautiful tropical fish in the lagoon as well as tarpons and lobster! The 2 pools were heated and delightful to swim in. We love walking out to the end of the jetty each evening to watch the sunset. It was a fantastic place to spend a week and soak up the sun.
We loved the beautiful and quiet location of our unit within the facility and also enjoyed all of the amenities. Having the living quarters downstairs and bedrooms on the second story made it easy to accommodate early and late risers.
If you like to do your own cooking, you may want to think about bringing measuring cups and perhaps ziplock baggies or wrap for any leftovers. The cupboards were stocked with some nice spices and other surprises.
We had a lovely time and would definitely consider staying here again.
I would give our stay at this Vacation rental a 10 star review if it was offered , Dan our property manager was nothing but exceptional with any of our questions or needs ! What a pleasant and knowledgeable gentleman he truly is . The Condo itself was Perfect and very clean ! All your needs from beach towels to cooking provisions are all there and ready !! First Class Rental , you can clearly see ,the owner takes great pride in his Property! We will definitely be booking a return trip! Thanks again Dan! Mike and Lisa from CT.
The owner is very responsive and nice. We had a good time. The lagoon is cleaner than last time. The house is okay but in need of updates. Toaster/air fryer is really small (havenât seen that small before). Also thereâs a compact parking in the front for one car. Itâs nice to have bikes we used them to go to the jetty and around the errand.
This welcoming townhouse is beautifully appointed. Bedrooms are calming. The bathrooms are great for an active family that is in the pool and the lagoon on and off all day. The kitchen is adequately stocked for preparing family meals. There is a sandy beach and lagoon right outside the door of the townhouse. Two nice swimming pools.
The people who stay at Kawama are personable and friendly. There are many activities organized by people who live there. You can choose to participate or not, as you desire. Examples of activities: aquafit, aerobics, bridge, dominoes.
You can easily walk to the point to watch the ocean, the sunrise and/or sunset.
Clean. Well located. Safe. Private.
Weâve stayed in various VRBO rentals across the US for more than a decade.
The thing that really sets this place apart is Daniel!
He made everything easy, was very communicative and responsive.
Came in from fishing and the water was off. I went to message him see if there was anyone I could contact.
He had already messaged me to let me know it was off for an emergency repair and would come back on in about 30 minutes. Impressive!
Bicycles, grill, new appliances and well stocked.
This may become our Key Largo headquarters!
Overall our stay was wonderful. We were pleasantly surprised by all of the amenities, personal touches and beauty of the unit, property, and surrounding location.
One difficulty was getting into the gate. We apparently needed a QR code and when the security personnel looked up to see our booking, she said she didnât have our unit as having any occupants for this weekend. Luckily, with showing our reservation and confirming our identities we were able to get in with the guard and she texted us the QR code. This was a happy outcome to a potentially bad situation as it was getting late, it was dark and there werenât any directions in the booking about there being a gate and needing special access. We also werenât thrilled that they didnât have a record of us staying.
However, after that incident everything went smoothly and the security personnel remembered us and were very friendly and accommodating.
The property had beautiful walking paths, two pools, a lagoon with many tropical fish that you could swim with or paddle boat/ kayak on. A human-made beach, and a playground for kids.
The unit had easy to access Wi-Fi, smart TVs, AC and other creature comforts. I would probably book again but make sure I had access to the gate beforehand.
What a lovely place to stay in the keys. Our family loved the canoes and the pools. Beds were really comfortable. Thank you for having us. We would absolutely stay again if visiting key largo.
The listing stated a futon downstairs. The pictures showed furniture that I assumed was a pull out sofa rather than a futon, which was fine. However, the furniture in the unit was not as pictured and there was no bed downstairs. I messaged the owner who did not get back to right away as he was overseas. When he did get back to me, he said a previous guest destroyed the futon and there was an air mattress in the closet. I would hardly expect us to blow up an air mattress and have a 75 year old woman sleep on it. So she slept on the couch. That is something that we should have been alerted to before we got there. And the replacement furniture was hardly new. One side of the couch was broken down.Other issues were a bit less important, but still annoying. No coffee pods, the coffee container in the cupboard was empty. No little snacks usually left by the owner. No tea kettle. No gas in the grill. No bath soap. No hair dryer in either bathroom. Both baths had only 1 1/2 roll of toilet paper. And the closet with the snorkeling equipment and games was full of the air mattress and cleaning supplies. We were not going to go digging through that mess.We enjoyed our stay because the location was very nice, but if we were to stay in the Kawama Yacht Club again, we will find another unit.
This is in a prime location in Key Largo. You could literally never leave the property once you buy groceries. The pool was warm and clean. The lagoon was right outside out back door. You can feed the fish and swim with them also. The unit was very clean and well maintained. It has a full size washer and dryer. The only thing we didnt find was a blow dryer but that was no problem for us. Also, they is wildlife on property that kept us entertained. I would definitely stay again.
