Winetrail Cabin - SIU, Giant City SP, Shawnee Forest, & Cedar Lake minutes away!
Cabin located in the heart of the Shawnee National Forest. Only 2.5 miles from hiking in Giant City State Park, 5 minutes to the Shawnee Hills Wine Trail, minutes from SIU, and Cedar Lake.
This is the perfect base for hiking, visiting wineries, and enjoying other activities in beautiful Southern IL.
Wonderful cabin in So IL, close to everything, yet quiet and cozy. Well appointed kitchen with everything needed! Clean and spacious! Look forward to visiting this one again!
The cabin was perfect for our 5 nights in the area. There was plenty of room and everything we needed. The pictures online were nice but in real life, it was a real gem. Can't wait to visit again.
This was easy to find, feeling of a home with everything we needed. From charging ports to every kitchen utensil and appliance, we saved so much on eating out and cooked as if we were home. Plenty of linens and towels, we didnât need anything additional.
Me and my buddy chose these cabins for our annual Southern Illinois hike trip and we were delighted with our stay. Our cabin offered a convenient location and plenty of amenities. Would definitely book again if we were in the area!
The cabin is nice and in a great location. It needs a good cleaning/paint touch up and some stained towels replaced. The satellite tv did not work but there were free channels to watch. We appreciated the snacks the host provided.
The property both inside & out are so comfortable. The pictures do not do it justice. Steve was more than great! Our pup chewed the remote to the tv & he was so understanding. Weâre just sending him a replacement. No stress or chaos about it. Super place & owner!
The cabin was clean comfortable and a quiet place to relax between excursions to Giant City State Park, Giant City Stables, and Ferne Clyffe State Park. The cabin was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. We appreciated that the people in the other cabins were friendly and respectful. If we ever travel to southern Illinois again, this is definitely where we will stay.
Wife, dog and I came down to get away and relax. We hiked the trails in Giant City S.P. We enjoyed the scenery and the stay. This was our 2nd stay at this cabin complex. Neighbors in the cabins were friendly.
Quiet location, but close enough to the state park for hiking and close to town if need anything.
Less than 5 minutes from Giant City state park, which we visited several times. At the end of the evening the restaurants in Carbondale are only a short drive as well (most of them are less than 10 minutes). The cabin was nice and just as expected. Cheaper than a hotel and much more room. We were also able to bring our dog along with us to hike. The host had complimentary snacks, popcorn, and coffee available. I would definitely stay here again and absolutely recommend it to anyone who is looking for something similar.
I think they should update the pics on this one because I expected it to be âehâ but it was nice. The living space is bigger than it looked too. I like having a kitchen so we donât have to eat out constantly.
It sits in a convenient location for the area, and Iâd stay here again. I think the dogs would have liked the deck if it had been warm enough.
