The property was comfortable but a few things didnât make the property âupscaleâ as advertised. The was water damage/discoloration in the upstairs bathroom, no lightbulbs in the majority of the lights in the master bedroom, flashing on the outside of the house needing repair, and the dishwasher moved around when we loaded it like it wasnât secured in place. None of these things were enough to contact the owner over during our short stay and we felt the home was worth the price.
Based on the price we paid(~500/nt) we expected the house to be nice. We opted for a house because we had 3 couples in town for a wedding and thought it would be more fun than a hotel. Man were we were a bit surprised. The neighborhood was a bit run down upon entering. Shrubs and backyard was overgrown. Upon entering the house we quickly noticed it wasnât decorated. At all. Which is fine, just wasnât very inviting. We could get past the holes in the walls and broken blinds. We found what we believed were crushed cookies?? Or maybe rust all over the kitchen floor. The biggest disappointment was upstairs. It was 95 degrees in Nashville this past weekend and the upstairs air didnât work. The thermostat read 86 degrees at 9pm. The description says 2 beds in one room which we needed, but each room only had 1 bed. We contemplated numerous times leaving and staying at the Marriott around the corner.
The location was great! The couch had stains and the couch pillows had a smell to them. The master bath and closet smelled like cat urine. Air freshener did not help! We kept the bathroom door closed to help with the smell not to be so strong! The kitchen did not have a mixer and there was not a blow dryer. My nephew slept on the couch and I was thankful that we had a blanket in the car because there were no extra blankets. On a good note, the mattress in the bedroom that I slept in was great; pillows though sucked! This house has so much potential with some decorations and the items that I mentioned above. Give this home some love!!
