The property was fine. There were challenges with parking, which the host disclosed. It was clean, spacious, and very convenient to the function that caused us to be in Philadelphia.
Brand new place. Hosts were friendly and good about responding to questions. Only issue is on street parking is crowded and it can take awhile to find a spot.
Overall a great rental.
Everything about our stay was delightful. The hosts responded quickly to our questions. The unit was recently renovated and very clean. The neighborhood was very charming and close to food and public transportation. The Google maps picture must have been old, it showed a picture of the street that looked very run down. We were pleasantly surprised that the neighborhood was very nice. Other reviewers commented that parking could be challenging but we had no problems finding street parking. I gave 4 of 5 stars for accuracy of online listening because there were a few things that did not work correctly. The TV in the living room did not have a Roku remote that we could find. The upstairs TVs all worked. The refrigerator water and ice machine needed a filter change so they did not work. We ended up buying botteled water and kept it in the refrigerator. We let the hosts know and they responded right back to us.
I would recommend this unit to anyone who would like to stay in a lovely neighborhood a 10 minute drive from downtown.
Could have been 5 stars with a little attention to details
Property was nice and in a good location (on street parking but we rarely had an issue).
Had a few issues when we arrived, called contact # and was told it would be taken care of that day. Was not.
Contacted them again the next day- again promises but no action. Would have been more honest not to reply at all.
Issues were: AC would not cool second floor. Major issue considering it was upper 80's /low 90's that week. Had to turn it down to 66 to get it below 80 upstairs! Except bathrooms! They were frigid.
Hubby even had to sleep on couch.
Number of towels. We had 5 people and were given only 5 towels, 2 hand towels and 1 washcloth! (Two long haired women and 1 long haired girl in our group). Had to use wash cloth in kitchen cuz no hot pads. Tea kettle handle broken and got very hot.
No top sheets on beds- just a blanket! Not comfortable with little AC.
No waste baskets upstairs in bath or bedrooms.
Ice machine, water in fridge and garbage disposal did not work. Not connected??
Patio was overgrown and near end of stay-concrete cracked and tree fell down. Used our bungie Cord to tie it to the fence (still rooted).
If the contact person had followed through on the promises to drop off towels, sheets and waste baskets, look at AC and to fix tree- my review would have been different.
With a little bit of attention and minimal supplies- this could easily be a five star property. Maybe time for a new management company?
Overall our stay was excellent. Getting into the house was easy the owners gave us great instructions and the house was exactly as shown in the pictures. Street parking is very hard to find due to the location of the house but the owner suggested a parking app that we used with no issues. The upstairs shower had a leak but once we advised the home owner they did say they would get it fixed right away. Apart from that the home was beautiful, easy to get too and not to mention the great coffee set up for the morning. We had an excellent experience I would recommend.
This was a very cute townhouse clearly newly renovated with everything from coffeemaker to dishes and cookware absolutely brand new. So that's awesome of course. I really liked the look and feel, not too modern not old fashioned very comfy. The owners were very responsive as we arrived the Friday before xmas during the "bomb cyclone" and the key box was frozen! someone came within 15 min to get it open with brute force thank goodness. whew. Also my nephew left his wallet and they responded when we got in touch and made arrangements for him to pickup from a safe place. The only issues were also related with being the very first users of the apartment: the icemaker in the new fridge wasn't set up yet and the disposal wasn't working (maybe the same issue but not sure; I've never had a disposal). So I assume that will be updated for future users. it's chillier upstairs than down but the covers and beds were very warm and comfortable. fireplace is actually a heater with I *think* either leds to look like flame or maybe gas flame. But not a wood fireplace just fyi. Still cute and warm. coffee tea sugar and cream provided. shampoo and soap provided, towels etc. all provided. All in all a very nice visit on the coldest weekend in ages. NOTE as this was a consideration for our group: staircase is steep-ish but has a railing, and there is a step up to the kitchen. My dad is elderly and uses a walker so we kept that in mind with him and you may care if you have anyone with mobility issues. Dad did actually get up the stairs ok so it ended up not a problem.
