Cozy home for our weekend stay. Plenty of room to spread out. The pool table was a great way to unwind. The fenced in yard was perfect for the dogs. The lake was close by and very pretty but it was too cold to attempt a swim this time of year.

Very straightforward and easy booking process. The house and view were stunning, and the instructions were super handy being in a binder when we entered. They listed also things to do in the area to help get us started if we needed something. Signal was definitely a hard one to get (T-Mobile), but they do provide WiFi at the location. Recommend a vehicle that can take off-road hilly areas (4/AWD). The asks for checkout were beyond reasonable and very easy to follow. Would definitely stay again if we choose to be in the area.

Our second time staying here in February and we had a great time. The owner is great and the kitchen is very well stocked, we cooked every meal of the trip here and it was nice and easy. The outside fenced in area is great for our dog. Looking forward to trip #3 next year.

Up North was such a wonderful stay. It was clean quiet, and a welcome sight and the end of a drive through a snow storm. Which gave us the perfect weekend away!

Very clean. Soft beds. Balcony is lovely in the mornings and evenings. It would have been nice to have a little more direction from the host, along the lines of a book with information you need. Example: it says you need to start the dishwasher before you leave. When i couldn't figure out the power, I called the host and turns out it needs to be pulled to the sink and hooked up. Even with her walking me through it, I couldn't get it hooked up without water still leaking from the faucet, so she told me just to leave it. So little frustrating end, but overall very nice, extremely quiet, peaceful place.

I rely heavily on reviews when booking a property and have never had an issue. Until now. The photos in the listing don't represent the true state of the interior of the cabin.1. The basement is now used to store junk. There's a pool table, but the room is dark and unwelcoming. We were asked to enter through the basement and nearly walked right back out.2. The living room is disgusting. The couch cushions are ripped and covered in pet hair. The area rug is filthy. The coffee table and end table are well past their prime. 3. In the kitchen the microwave had not been wiped out before we came. The spill plates under the stove burners were filthy, and the oven knob has been labeled with a marker. Some of the cookware was in need of washing. 4. The inside of the front door and the many other spots were noticeably dirty.5. A spiderweb hung from the ceiling. I'm not a snob, but I paid for what I saw in the listing. How did none of the reviews mention these things?Were there good things? Yes. The view is lovely. But the things mentioned above spoiled it for us.I have photos to document the issues I've mentioned. I've never written a negative review, so Im not sure if I'll be able to post them. I will if Im allowed to.

The reason you didn't see these concerns reflected in our other reviews is because our previous guests have been overwhelmingly satisfied with their stays. You rented this property at a below-average rate for this area. It is a pet-friendly home and an older property, which is reflected in the more than reasonable nightly price. As I mentioned after your departure, had you brought any of the cleanliness concerns to our attention during your stay, I would have gladly had them addressed immediately. We always appreciate the opportunity to make things right while our guests are still with us. If you look at the next review from the guests who checked in after you, you'll see they were very happy with their stay as well. This leads me to believe your experience was an exception rather than the norm. I wish you all the best in your future travels.

We had a great stay at this little New Hampshire getaway! Great little information binder with lots of good information and loved that they had little very bright flashlights hanging everywhere that actually all worked for just in case! Nice cozy feeling with the white Christmas type lights strung along the beam in the kitchen/dining room area.

House is absolutely adorable and charming. Conveniently located, not far from the places we were going. Very clean, beds were comfortable. We had everything we needed. There was a slight water leak from the toilet into the basement which we communicated to the owner and they were taking care of. Our only suggestion is updating the furniture a little. Couch had many rips and stains on the area rug in the living room which i assume was from pets which is understandable. Overall the place met our expectations and we would revisit!

Loved it!

We had an amazing stay. The place was so clean and roomy loved the dog yard for our pup and the fire pit. It was so relaxing to sit on the deck..we had one rain day and were happy to play inside with our 9 year old in the game room! The lake was awesome. Will definitely book again

Fabulous getaway

We had such a lovely time here! We went hiking, swimming in the lake and just chilled at the property! We only had 2 nights but we wish we had stayed longer! The property was lovely and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay! My older teenage boys loved the basket ball, the diving board at the lake and walking The Black Mountain! 10/10

This house is really great for everyone who loves beeing in the woods. Our son liked the billard table and the basketball in the garden.The kitchen equipment and the sofa in the living room need a little bit update.There is a great lake nearby.
