Although an R.N. by profession, my heart lies in the hospitality industry and I enjoy sharing my passion for the mountains and nature with as many people as possible, from all walks of life. My goal is to offer peaceful, relaxing, beautiful places for guests to stay.
My interest in hospitality began many years ago when my husband, Karl and I decided to open up our home in Uxbridge, Massachusetts to those needing a short or long-term place to stay. We rented out bedrooms in our home and shared all our common spaces including our only bathroom with a shower! Many were complete strangers to us yet we opened up our home and invited them to use it as though it were their own. We felt it was "our calling" to share our home with others in need and envisioned moving up north to NH where we could be more involved in the hospitality industry in the beautiful White Mountains Region. We ended up settling in the charming town of Monroe, along the Connecticut River.
Karl was a devoted husband who was the "wind beneath my wings,," and with his encouragement he enabled me to fulfill our dream of owning a cabin on a mountain which eventually became a short-term rental for vacationers. Sadly, in 2019, after 40 years of marriage, Karl lost his battle with Parkinson's Disease, but I carried on with our love of hospitality and purchased several beautiful view properties for travelers to enjoy. Thankfully, Karl's caregiver and our dear friend, Jeff, has been very helpful in caring for the properties to enable our vision to be carried forward.
For fun, I enjoy hiking with my daughter & family, shopping with my son and taking my two standard poodles for walks. I love writing, community theater and using my artistic creativity to beautify and improve the properties for guests. I feel God has blessed me with the opportunity to share these beautiful places with others and I hope people walk away feeling refreshed and inspired in the beautiful North Country of New Hampshire.
