I was looking for a quiet, peacful place to enjoy wildlife and time away with the family. Chris' cabin was perfect! The porch with confortable seating was enjoyed during sun and rain! Location was great for exploring tourist activities and lakeside activities right down the road.
We had an amazing stay at the cabin!! Great private location with access to the lakes, the kids enjoyed jumping off the docks into the lake. I enjoyed relaxing on the back deck and by the fire.
The cabin is wonderful. The beds and linens were clean, new, and cozy. The towels were extremely fluffy and lush. The entire interior of the cabin was clean, cozy, and with guests in mind, nice and warm. The outside was great for a fire, or sitting on the deck enjoying coffee in the morning and smelling the fresh air, listening to the quiet. It's at the end of a dirt road, with enough neighbors nearby to feel safe but enough solitude to have privacy and enjoy taking a step back. Town ~10min away, plenty of activities/stops ~40min away, or the mountains. The only drawback - the dirt roads in the neighborhood were rough to drive up in our 2008 Corolla, due to 3 days of nonstop rain - but we made it! And it was worth it :) Would definitely stay here again & recommend to friends.
Overall we enjoyed our stay at the cabin. The location is a perfect base for a fall colours road trip with all towns in New Hampshire and Vermont between a 45 - 90 minute drive it would be perfect for a winter skii trip too. The hosts were very responsive. The cabin was relatively clean though the kitchen appliances are in need of a deep clean and bathroom drainage issues. Iâm afraid we also found the bed to be uncomfortable this might be improved with a tighten up of the screws (very squeaky metal frame). The cabin was very dark at night even with lights on this is to be expected given the location but the hosts could make the place cosier with some additional lighting - fairy lights etc. we didnât feel comfortable sitting outside at night as it was too dark we noticed neighbours had made their fire pit areas much more welcoming. We also felt for the high price we paid and given how remote the cabin is the hosts could provide a basic welcome hamper with local produce or at the very least some bottled water this would not cost much but make a big difference also leaving no fire wood for a cabin that comes with a fire pit is odd (though this is highlighted in advance). We feel for around 15 dollars the hosts could leave a basic hamper and fire wood and this would improve guest satisfaction.
