We loved our stay. Our goal was to relax and we accomplished that. We caught fish and crab off the pier. Saw dolphins in the morning and evening. Sunsets were gorgeous. The cabin was clean and comfirtable.

beautiful sunsets and great star gazing. The cottage is very cute clean and comfy. Loved waking up to water only 15 feet from the back door. Our dog enjoyed running up and down the pier keeping an eye on everything (seagulls and ducks mainly). Would love to stay here again for a future getaway. Very relaxing!

Cozy home right on the bay. We enjoyed fishing off the pier and we caught 8 crabs. Quiet neighborhood located roughly 15 minutes from downtown Rockport.

Fabulous stay. Several fish caught off the pier including 2 huge black drum. Wrap around porch was great for me and my dog. The neighborhood was very quiet everyone very friendly

We hit during a freeze storm and our original property had to be replaced. The management company took care of everything and put us up in an even nicer property. Couldn’t recommend more!

The property is very secluded and has a great pier. Caught lots of trout at night undersized and a couple of keepers. If you want a private pier this is a great house. The inside is very small. We had 4 and unless we had two more little kids I don’t see how it sleeps 6. Also the interior of the house needs lots of paint touch up. Minor for some but a quick touch up of walls will make it look a lot more well kept. Beds very comfortable. Nice kitchen

Relaxing

Nice get easy getaway with pier fishing. We enjoyed night fishing with all of catching fish. It was cool seeing some huge jellyfish and couple sheepshead. The sunsets were amazing. Got to even experience a fun storm. Fridge has a funky smell, but overall chill vibe at the property.

Loved it.

We absolutely loved the property. My kiddos had a blast. We fished until our arms felt like they were going to fall off, saw dolphins in the mornings up close, ducks everywhere, there were some jellyfish up near the house rock/porch area, the whole setting was great and the sunsets were beautiful, the house was just the perfect size for us. 4, myself, my dad, my 20 yr old and my 15 year old. We would definitely come back again!

Interior and waterside back deck were as pictured and nice.Front deck and side deck have vegetation over growth. Siding has green algee growth. No fresh water at fish cleaning station. Outside trash cans overflowing. T-head pier washed out.

Unique Setting, Amenities Lacking

It was definitely a unique setting, however there are some finer points left to be desired. The private dock access is pretty cool. The place itself has some issues. There was no soap to be found for hand washing or cleaning dishes. The toilet paper supply was cutting it pretty close. The water damage from the hurricane is noticable, who knows the mold situation behind the sheetrock. Aside from those things, the nextdoor neighbor is a party house. And arguably the most annoying thing about the place was a random alarm from some unknown location in the house that wakes you up in the early morning.

Rockport Fishing Weekend

We appreciated the opportunity to stay at this property, it’s very relaxing and offers plenty of time to bond w/those in your group. However, a deep clean would go a long way. This property offers 3 large, curbside trash bins to properly dispose of garbage yet each of them were overflowing as we pulled in for our weekend stay. The shower curtain liner is in desperate need of replacing. The primary bedroom shows a great need for general housekeeping as a collection of dust, dirt, and grime has pooled at the bed baseboard, near the headboard. The primary bedroom ceiling fan could not be used as the chain pull was politely left on the television stand. Also, falling asleep maybe difficult in this room due to the a/c unit loudly engaging throughout the night. For these reasons, unsure why a “Cleaning Fee” is assessed and required for payment.

Not what I expected

Pros...the location was great for fishing. We had a great time catching fish. The a/c worked great! Cons...We were greeted at our cottage with the trash over flowing in the bins. The whole week there the trash was never picked up. The house definitely needed some repairs. The floor was separating in the kitchen. The chairs in the kitchen were in need of repair and there was a fair amount of rust everywhere. The biggest complaint that I have was the listing really needs for a sleeps 4 instead of 6. There were 6 in our party. We brought air mattresses so the kids didnt have to sleep together on the sofa. The living room could not accommodate 6 without someone sitting on the stairs, neither could the table and the very limited kitchen only had 5 plates. I have been renting vrbos for the last 10 years and this was probably the worst property that i stayed in.

Great stay

Easy rental everything was great had a great stay. Very peaceful loved being able to see the water right at your back door. I loved the house the only thing I would recommend is a bench at the end of the pier.
