This home is nestled in a forest setting with a lovely view of the lake. This serene setting was perfect for our family gathering. Beds are comfortable. The covered back deck was a perfect place to hang out and enjoy a meal together. The kitchen is well-equipped. Most of the bedrooms (and the showers) were upstairs, but it was not a problem for our group.

Overall, our stay was good. The property is beautiful and there were plenty of beds. The instructions also made it easy to find, and made check-in smooth. The downside is the downstairs bathroom had a horrible smell coming from it anytime you turned on the vent (so we stopped doing that). The smell couldn’t be resolved before the end of our trip, so for a party of 12, we were down to the 2 bathrooms upstairs.

Perfect stay for our work trip in Richmond

The Manor House was a perfect fit for our needs. Plenty of comfortable space inside and we were able to park four 26' box trucks! We enjoyed the kitchen space, grill and beautiful grounds. Our team will most certianly return when we are back in the area!

Great stay!

We had a wonderful stay at this property! The home is well furnished and located in a private quiet area overlooking Swift Creek Reservoir. We spent most of the day enjoying the gazebo and porch. The deer feeding outside the front door were fun to watch. This manor house would be perfect for a larger group. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here!

Week long stay

We had a great time meeting up with our family that came in from several different places over Christmas. The Manor house was spacious for our 13. The grounds are beautiful! Close proximity to shopping while still a very private secluded property.

Beautiful property and huge house! A deer greeted us when we got there and we saw many more. You cant really get all the way down to the lake easily, but lots of nature to walk thru. Host was awesome!

The Manor House was lovely. We had between 6 and 9 people staying and the accommodations were perfect. Could have easily slept several more.The grounds are so pretty and private. We really felt like we were in our own little world. About 20 deer visited in the early evening and we enjoyed watching them roam the grounds.Alyson was awesome to work with. Responsive, accommodating and a great host!Thanks for sharing this lovely property!

I have 5 sisters and we were all able to stay together for my nephews wedding. Great location to relax take in the view of the lake, large table on the back porch where we played games and shared meals and laughs It was everything we hoped

Ideal place for a family reunion

Came to town for a family wedding. Needed space for 10 people including a 4 year old and 2 year old. Plenty of space. Our only regret was that due to wedding festivities we didn’t have much time to enjoy all the property had to offer.

Overall our stay was lovely, the kitchen is well stocked, the view of the water and coziness of the woods make for a very peaceful environment. We had a minor delay with check in, as everything on the listing indicated a 4pm check in time but received the door code information just after 5pm and on that information it listed check in was 5pm. Since we didn’t arrive until about 5p it wasn’t an issue but this needs to be updated in the VRBO listing for accuracy. Small details were noticed such as a floor vent in the kitchen that is not secured to the floor and several in my party tripped over multiple times, electrical socket in the living room without a cover. Overall it fit our needs of a large group of 10 coming to stay for a conference.

Family Reunion/Matriarch 95th Birthday

This was the perfect place for my family from out of town to gather during my mother's 95th birthday weekend! Plenty of space to gather and spend time with each other and other family that came in from out of town in a lovely setting out of the way of the hustle and bustle of everyday life but close to all the places we needed to go. The host was most responsive to our needs as well! The fact that it was wheelchair accessible was the top selling point since my mother is in an electric wheelchair!! Would definitely rent again!

My grandson graduations

"It was such a beautiful place for my grandson's graduation. Instead of renting a hotel, our family came from Leesburg and stayed in the house. The backyard was stunning, with a lovely deck and a beautiful view of the lake. We enjoyed preparing lunch together as a family on Saturday. My granddaughter played outside while my grandson invited a couple of friends to join us. If you enjoy neutral outdoors, this is a fantastic place to stay."
