We enjoyed our stay. The house was cute, clean, and convenient to the interstate. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of linens and towels. It could use a new set of cookware, but we were able to cook 2 basic pasta meals with the pots and pans that were there. We loved being able to park our car securely behind the back gate. We also loved that our pup had a yard to roam without having to be leashed. We would definitely stay here again.
We were in Richmond for my son's wedding at The Valentine. The home's location was perfect for everything we did. The home is very inviting and very comfortable. It was just as described in the listing. The beds are all extremely comfortable, the shower had great water pressure, and we had plenty of room. It was very quiet at night, which was great. We did not bring our Lab with us, but he would have loved the backyard!Whenever we travel back to Richmond, we will definitely plan to stay here again!
This property had all the amenities, modern and clean decor, nice friendly neighborhood atmosphere, a little park a block away to walk the dog, and within walking distance to the many features of RVA.
Adorable house in a nice neighborhood, close to town. The home was exactly as describedâclean, beautifully decorated, and stocked with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Highly recommend. :)
Stayed just two nights over Easter weekend with our kids and grandkids. We sll did a zip-line course on Saturday and a picnic/Easter egg hunt on Hollywood Cemetary on Sunday. The place was perfect for us. Well-equipped kitchen, well decorated, very comfortable beds. The hosts could not have vern more gracious and helpful. Vey
The location was perfect for us. We loved being able to walk to Hollywood cemetery, and my husband loved being able to easily bike to both the Pump House park and to the Belle Isle bridge. Everything else was an easy drive(under 10 minutes). The property was clean and, check in/out was very easy. We would absolutely stay again.
Very clean, comfortable, easy access to Richmond. Check in was fairly smooth, but I didn't get the access code until 10 mins before our check in time. Altogether would recommend for a Richmond stay
This is our second time staying here. We love how close it is to VCU and itâs walking distance from our sonâs apartment. Lynley is a great host, sheâs very responsive if you need to reach out to her. The place is a good size and the beds are comfortable. The snacks left for guests is a plus.
Perfect location for museum hopping and good food. Itâs so well decorated and comfortable. Thank you for being a super host. We would like to book again in the future.
The stay was a breeze, easy to get in, very comfortable, and a bonus was the variety of snack offerings. The location is great if you need to be near VCU or downtown. The neighborhood itself lacked charm but is safe and easy to get to. Great place!
Camp RVA is a comfy stay for you & your pet! The host thought of everything for us & our furry friend. This home is located close to EVERYTHING in RVA, convenient for driving or ride-sharing, etc. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
My daughter will be attending VCU this year and I am so happy I found this property. Very clean and that fact I can bring my fur babies made it feel just like home.
We were in town because our son is stationed at the base. The rental location was cool because its near VCU and there are restaurants and sights near by. The house had plenty of room for all of us and was comfortable.
Our stay was fine overall, but there were quite a few issues that made it less enjoyable than we hoped. The air conditioner made a loud *boom* sound every time it turned on and off, which was especially disruptive at night. When we arrived, the bottle of Dawn dish soap at the kitchen sink was completely empty. I let the owner know, and their only response was, *âLet me know if youâd like me to bring some.â* I felt a more proactive approach would have been appropriate. There was also a leak from the fridge when using the water dispenser â bad enough that we had to soak up the water with several small towels any time we used it. The owner said theyâd get someone to fix it *after* we left, which didnât help us during our stay. The back gate didnât function well either. The temporary fix was a bungee cord, which was awkward to use. The back sliding door with a curtain that didnât slide easily was difficult to use.As for the location â it was fine, but a bit worn and rough around the edges. There are definitely more charming areas to stay and Iâd search a little harder for something nicer.Overall, the visit was okay, but between the disruptive noise, maintenance issues, and a generally âjust okayâ atmosphere, we probably wouldnât return.
