À propos de cet hébergement
Charming house with garden near Weymouth town & beaches
Our sympathetically modernised Edwardian home is in a quiet residential street, but just ten minutes walk to the beaches, harbour, shops and restaurants of Weymouth. Offering lovely living space, quality furnishings, fully equipped kitchen, enclosed garden, three bedrooms, and two WCs, our home combines comfort with style. It is the perfect base for family holidays by the sea, cosy winter breaks, and working away from home.
From the private front gate, front door and entrance hall, you’ll find the bright spacious dining room leading to living room, a modern fully-equipped kitchen, and a new bathroom (with full bath and a shower over), plus a sunroom leading to the garden.
Upstairs is a bright landing, a second toilet, the generous bedroom with king sized bed at the front, a twin room (with sea glimpses), and a roomy single room at the back of the house. All beds have luxurious handtufted mattresses and Egyptian cotton linen. Blackout blinds help ensure a good lie in despite the sunshine Weymouth is renowned for!
The fully-enclosed back garden, complete with decking and patio dining set, is perfect for catching the sun all day. The garden is ideal for dining al-fresco, whilst the sunroom provides an ‘outside in’ area for cooler evenings.
Central heating throughout and the living room stove provide a cosy home for winter stays.
The house has a seaside colour pallet with modern, uncluttered styling in this period property.
On street parking to the front of the house is free (please note this is a public road and so no guarantee of availability can be offered). Not that you’ll really need a car for a seaside holiday once you arrive - everything you need is ten minutes away on foot!
A WELL-EQUIPPED HOME…
The house is a family project. Three generations worked together to create a beautiful space for all ages to enjoy. As a family, we’ve rented a wide variety of homes ourselves over the years. We created a wish list of the things we loved having, or indeed dreamed of having, during our stays away. From wishing for a washing machine and a dishwasher (both essential with the three children in tow), to missing a proper-sized freezer (without naming names – someone really loves ice cream), a sharp knife (another someone sometimes packs a sharpener…) and anything to make fresh coffee, to resorting to drinking wine and bubbly out of a selection of plastic tumblers, sometimes whilst dreaming about our much comfier furniture and beds at home, we’ve ensured our Weymouth home has everything for a comfortable and enjoyable stay for the whole family for a few days, a week or more.
LOCATION
The location is perfect for a holiday, a short break or a business trip.
Brewers Quay and Weymouth harbour are just seven minutes on foot, the rock pools of Newton's Cove’s and adjacent is Nothe Gardens (perfect for a picnic with sea views) are eight minutes walk, whilst a ten minute stroll across town bridge leads to the town, with high street favourites and independent shops, and the main sandy beach with gentle shallow waters.
A 20 minute walk to the south west will take you to locals’ favourite, Castle Cove beach, and along the coastal path to the Olympic-famous Portland Harbour, where various water sports await.
There’s plenty of indoor entertainment in the town too, including swimming pool, cinema, theatre and ten pin bowling.
For dining out, you’re spoilt for choice in Weymouth! From traditional fish and chips to fine dining, sample the day’s catch or choose from world cuisines. We provide our guests with local knowledge of our favourite places to visit, eat and drink.
Dining in is easy at our house: the kitchen is equipped with the usual appliances, plus a full fridge/freezer, washing machine and dishwasher, and includes a few popular herbs and spices for your convenience. There’s no need to cook, though, if you’d prefer to choose from a great selection of local takeaways.
If you’re travelling to Dorset for work, our home provides a spacious, private and homely self-catering base for you to relax after a long day.
In summary: a stay at our house offers spacious and comfortable accommodation in a great location!

Hello! Our house renovation was a family project, and we’re so pleased you’re considering staying here.
I’m Becca, and I’m usually the main contact for our guests. I am on hand for questions and local knowledge, along with my parents, who live in Weymouth, and my sister, Tara.
Between us, we can recommend what and where to see, do and enjoy for all generations!

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?
Two generations (three, if you include six-year old Tia’s input), have worked together to create a beautiful space for us and others to enjoy. We love holidays! Having rented a wide variety of holiday homes ourselves, both as the whole family and with our respective families, over the years we’ve put together a wish list of the things we loved having, or indeed dreamed of having, during our stays. From wishing for a washing machine and a dishwasher (both essential with the three children in tow), to missing a proper-sized freezer (without naming names – someone really loves ice cream), a sharp knife (another someone sometimes packs a sharpener…) and anything to make fresh coffee, to resorting to drinking wine and bubbly out of a selection of plastic tumblers, sometimes whilst dreaming about our much comfier furniture and beds at home, we’ve tried to ensure our Weymouth holiday home has everything for a comfortable and enjoyable stay for the whole family for a week or two.
