Cottage has water and power, road access, available for workers

Raleigh local, Ashley and her eight year old son, Alex, love visiting the mountains. Last year, we were able to make our mountain retreat more permanent and became the owners of charming, Blue Spruce Cottage.

When in the mountains we enjoy hiking, biking, Tweetsie Railroad, Fishing, alpine slide, snow tubing, UTV Rides and visiting grandfather mountain winery (a beautiful spot for a picnic or if you get the right day food trucks.) We also love to go into Banner elk in the evening for the arcade, dinner and ice cream.

I have a reliable and kind cleaning person nearby who can help out in emergencies.

People who have stayed at the cottage love the close proximity to everything. Since you're near the base of Seven Devils you can easily get access to the main road and all the activities that the High Country has to offer. We have a solo stove (stored in the closet) it's a smoke free fitpit that can sit on the deck (on top of the included metal ring) so you can enjoy smores and a fire outside in the evening.

When my son was born I learned how difficult it can be to travel with children, Blue Spruce Cottage is designed with families in mind, enjoy play all day, and then with the split floor plan kids and teens can bunk up in the bonus room in the evening and parents can continue their evening on the deck and in the hot tub. I'm an avid cook and baker and have done my best to make sure the kitchen here is well stocked with all the essentials. I hope you can find relaxation and peace as well as make great family memories in our cottage.
