Garfield West is a charming and historic home walking distance from downtown Salinas and right in the middle of Monterey and Santa Cruz. It is an easy stop off the highway if youâre just passing through or a great place to use as a home base for a few days while exploring Salinas and the surrounding areas.
Overall not a bad stay. Perfect for a 1 night stay for 4 adults. Minor quibble, description lists parking included and the driveway was filled with cars.
Hand soap in bathroom was empty, no wash cloths were available for bathing. Front entry was quirky and hard to use at times. Back yard was very nice. No closet in either bedroom.
Perfect place to stay in Salinas- the house is well supplied to cook and it is 15 minutes walking distance to downtown. Jaimee is responsive and happy to help.
Pretty little postcard yard and the space was comfortable enough for the two kids and 3 adults in my group. Everything worked well and nice large refrigerator in the kitchen. Single bathroom was a bit of a challenge for us because we all live in multiple bathroom spaces, but plenty of hot water for bathing and dishes.
Was a very cute little house felt cozy , we stayed 4 days and had a great time! The host always responded within an hour to any questions and left the place very clean for us . We stayed here to visit Monterey and the redwoods and it was easy to get places only about an hour to the redwoods and a half hour to Monterey we did need the local bus.a couple times and it was a short walk to the transit center so just a great location to use as like a jumping off point for all sorts of adventures would definitely stay again or recommend to friends/family
Great little cozy home close to many things to do.
This home was perfect for our family of five. The home was cozy and very pleasant. Home had all we needed TV with many streaming apps. Living room was welcoming for our family to spend some time together. We were even able to cook a small Thanksgiving dinner while we stayed there. The house was 20 minutes from Moss Landing, 30 minutes to the Aquarium of Monterey Bay. And 5 minutes from a Movie theater. Overall we would definitely recommended to others. This home is small but very welcoming.
The property is in old town Salinas. It was clean and stocked with the basic sundries. It was in a quite neighborhood and the neighbors that passed by were all friendly. The was a taco truck on the end street that seemed to be a permanent fixture..pretty good and open late. Golds gym is also very close by. I will admit the parking situation was not ideal. Parking in the drive way (even in my compact)
was not great because of the other inoperable vechicles already parked in the drive way. In front of the home was also another vechicle that looked like it never moved even still parking two vehicles was doable but we would have preferred a little more accessibility.
Les points faibles : Communication et exactitude de lâannonce
In the end it was OK
It was quiet and the mattresses were comfortable. Those were the positives. One bedroom had too much furniture to pull the trundle all the way out. My husband and son had to move a tall 3'x3' dining table and chair from the bedroom into the corner of the living room. Frustrating that we had to do this. There was garlic bread left in the oven and an opened bottle of Pepsi on the counter from a previous renter? The owner doesn't provide hand towels, just 1 in the bathroom. I found some wash cloths in the kitchen. This is def a residence that the owner lives in and they leave when it's rented. The owner was unavailable and did not follow up on our issues.
