Another wonderful stay at Hidden Beach! We already look forward to staying here again next year. Otters, dolphins, and great blue herons were the stars of the show just outside the windows. Everything was clean, comfortable and well appointed. Loved the outdoor deck! Our host was helpful and fun to talk with. Thanks!
Beautiful home in a private community right on the water with public beach access up the road. View of Camaro Island and Mt. Baker. Very clean, with a very well stocked kitchen. Lots of little extras like paper towels, dish soap, napkins. Super quiet (no one on either side of us during our stay). Neighbors are very close on each side if there had been someone staying there. Beautiful bathrooms well stocked with towels and soap and shampoo, conditioner also. Manager was very responsive to a problem we had with hot water in the main floor shower. She had a plumber out the very next day after we let her know. Manager very communicative throughout stay. We enjoyed sitting on the beautiful deck in the morning and in the evenings. Lots of herons, seals and seabirds. Great base to explore Whidbey. We enjoyed dining in Coupeville (try the Vail Winery for a glass of wine in the afternoon, Front Street Grill had amazing mussels and clams). Sandwiches at Bayleaf (also in Coupeville) were delicious for a hiking day. We enjoyed driving up to hike in the Deception Pass area and also loved taking an excursion boat out in the Salish Sea for views of Deception Pass from underneath and lots of sea life (with Deception Pass Tours). Rented kayaks in Deception Pass State Park one day, from Anacortes Kayak Tours. Highly recommend that. Only FYI, bring sleep masks for the upstairs bedrooms as there are no blinds at all in those rooms and when the sun is up, you will be too as it is east facing!
My friends and I were thrilled with everything about this property and had no complaints whatsoever. We especially loved the view, the deck, and the HUGE master, as well as the coffee, filters, sugar, spices, etc., provided in the kitchen.
Beautiful waterfront location and well appointed kitchen. We enjoyed time on the deck relaxing and watching sea life, and were fortunate to see a few orcas! Communication with host was excellent, we would definitely stay here again.
This was among the best vacation rentals we've stayed at. Plenty of the essentials and refills were provided. The views were amazing with lots of wildlife. Eagles, Great Herons and seals.
This is the second time I've stayed here. I really love this property and the neighborhood. The listing undersells how magical this place is. I've looked forward it to it every year and have even shared the listing with friends and colleagues. Unfortunately, the communication can be very frustrating. I received both direct emails and messages in the app from multiple people so it was unclear how and to whom I should communicate. They did not receive some of my messages and the communications turned cold and abrupt. It's an unfortunate ending to an amazing stay.
A beautiful property with full amenities. Soft sheets, nice towels and comfortable seating. The view is stunning. A great location to relax and access attractions on the island. Very peaceful.
Amazing view property! Very clean!Beautiful and quiet, an easy drive to anywhere you might want to explore on the Island. The host was very pleasant and responsive to any questions.
This house is gorgeous. Comfy beds, nice kitchen. Beautiful master suite and bathroom. Just wished we had better weather when we were there. But even in gloomy weather, the view from the great room and upstairs is fantastic. Hope to return someday.
A lovely stay at a lovely home. Quiet, although neighbors are close. Spent most of our time outside on the deck or besides the outdoor fire pit looking at the mountains. No whales, but lots of other wildlife to enjoy. House clean and fully stocked.
What a remarkable place to stay for five fabulous nights for a wide variety of reasons - location, beauty, ease and excellent communication from the property manager! Weâd love to return here in the future.
This house was the perfect place to ring in the New Year and celebrate my husbandâs birthday. It was a nice getaway from the city and couldnât have been more peaceful. We spent a lot of time just soaking up the water front views watching the whales. We canât wait to come back again in the summer and bring friends so we can share how special this place is! Thank you for an amazing stay. J&T Wellington
Peaceful and welcoming. Our Thanksgiving stay included lots of cloudy and rainy weather, but this home had good lighting and comfortable places to sit and read a book. Our host thought of everything, including a well-stocked kitchen. We traveled a long way from sunny Dallas, and we would love to stay again at this lovely home in the cool Northwest. I think we will come in May next time, and enjoy the rhododendrons!
We celebrated my Wife's birthday here. The home is perfect for relaxing on, not near, but on the water. It felt as if we were staying on a big yacht, not a house. The house's location is simply wonderful, perched on the shore of Saratoga Passage. The master suite's views and prospect over the water are stunning; listening to the water lapping on the rocks, inviting the moonlight to shimmer across the water and fill the bedroom. The community is a big asset too. Equipped with a private gate, a boat launch, dock, and a gentle beach suitable for kayaks. We loved it.
Most vacation rentals oversell the properties. This listing doesnât do it justice. I truly hope to make this at least an annual tradition to return. Right on the water - so many windows and so much natural light. Neighbors were so friendly. The interior is beautiful. I only have good things to say.
After our Alaska cruise, we wanted to extend our stay and booked this house on Whidbey Island. My niece lives in Seattle, so it was a perfect location for her to join us and for us to wind down after a wonderful but busy Alaska cruise. The home was just beautiful! It looked just like the pictures advertised, only the pictures did not mention that EVERY room has a water view! That was a real treat. The home was decorated so tastefully and looked like it had been recently remodeled. We loved the style and decor. My niece and her fiance also thought it was just gorgeous and loved the views. You could not have been close to the water. The house was stocked with everything we needed. It also had Aveda hair products which I like; that was nice. I would highly recommend the home. The island overall was a great place to vacation and there is plenty to do and keep yourself occupied even though it's a bit remote. The process was smooth and easy.
The view is top notch from the master bedroom, kitchen and livingroom, and the other two bedrooms have some views too. There is no beach access from the yard but there a public access point about 6 houses down the street. We saw tons of birds and even two orca briefly. The kichen was well stocked and even had little touches like white sugar, a starter pack of coffee. There was great outdoor furnature on a nice deck (could only be better if part of it was covered) Whidbey Island is amazing, and this place is about 15 minutes from Coupville which is adorable, and 15 minutes the other direction from Freeland, which has the services and stores you need. If/When the Greenville store reopens, that will be super nice for guests here too. It was a great place for dogs even though there was no fenced in yard.
It seems like they intentionally picked carpeting and furniture that would withstand the wear and tear dogs can place on it. My only comment was that if you are on the main floor, the footsteps upstairs can be a little loud, but still 5 stars.
My spouse and I reunited at the Hideaway and completely enjoyed ourselves. The place is cozy, the view is amazing (we saw orcas in the Saratoga passage!) and we felt welcome and at ease. Highly recommend!
We had a wonderful Thanksgiving week at the water. The house was so clean and well stocked. The views are amazing and the wildlife incredible. We loved staying there.
As we walked through the front door we knew we were in the right place for us: it was sparkling inside and out with lots of room to stretch out and relax. Sunlight flickered off the water. Out on the deck we caught the last rays as we relaxed watching the gulls, herons and an occasional seal peeking its head up. The kitchen was equipped with anything one could want and we cooked all of our own meals. Of course we got the requisite pie at Greenbank Farms (the marionberry berry is our favorite) and had pastries from Dolce Bakery and Cafe nearby (thanks to host Lucy whose recommendations were spot on!) Whidbey offers a myriad of activities all within an easy drive of Hidden Beach. The Price Sculpture Garden near Coupeville was a hidden treasure and not to be missed (another of Lucyâs tips) and we did long hikes at both Ebeyâs Landing and Deception Pass. We brought friends from Tennessee and it was a trip they will never forget. We felt very, very lucky to have found this gem. Thank you, Lucy.
Very nice and spacious house. We had a great time. Only negatives were the windows, hard to open, some seemed painted shut. Need to watch yourself on the deck if you are an older person. We would stay here again for sure.
