Retro meets the wild, take a step back to the 60’s and enjoy an evening in the woods, with over 9,000 square feet of land along Houston’s Buffalo Bayou. Mature trees, large yard, private entrance to Buffalo Bayou for hiking and kayaking.

Centrally located and minutes to Downtown (Minute Maid Park, BBVA Stadium, Toyota Center, House of Blues), The Heights, City Centre, The Medical Center, The Galleria and NRG Center.

This house has multiple outdoor spaces for relaxing and entertaining. Enjoy the beautiful professional interior decorations. Floor to ceiling windows on two floors. Gorgeous master bedroom w/dressing area. 2nd bedroom has private doorway out to roof deck over garage. 4th floor loft/ bedroom. Picturesque views from every floor.
Enjoy the backyard deck overlooking the bayou, the chiminea, and professional wood-burning fire oven!

PLEASE NOTE: All guests must disclose to host if they are planning to have a gathering and must:
Discuss your plans and get approval before booking. The fee for stays with events is an additional $250.
No loud music/noise after 10pm, max 25 guests.
Ensure that your event and guests don’t disrupt the neighbors
No trespassing on neighboring properties
Street parking is not possible due to location on main road. A total of five cars will fit in the driveway and garage.

PETS ARE NOT ALLOWED: A $500 penalty will be charged per pet.

FAMILY VACATION FUN!

We chose this home because of its retro vibe, and it did not disappoint. The interior decor is funky and fun!! It was spacious enough for our family to enjoy group activities and have some separation as well. The patio is nestled behind the home overlooking a wilderness area with the Bayou below. It is secluded and private, completely unexpected for being in the heart of Houston. It was perfect for enjoying a morning coffee while listening to the dawn chorus of birds and nature.The owners were fantastic and very helpful anytime we had a question.  We would definitely stay here again in the future.

Great stay in Houston

The house was lovely and very clean. I felt very comfortable and safe. The view from the bedroom was amazing. Just laid there on the bed looking out the window most of the time we were there but absolutely stay here again when we visit Houston.

Amazing Home

This is a wonderful house in a unique location. It is the second time we have stayed there and can't recommend it highly enough. Interesting, well appointed, and the nature out back with your morning coffee is amazing!

Lovely Family Time

Our family had a wonderful visit at this unique and well-equipped house. The view of the bayou and greenery was well-enjoyed, as was the wine fridge. All bedrooms do require the stairs to access, which wasn't a problem for our group, but something to note for guests with mobility issues. Take all host advice about parking seriously - again, not a problem for us, but something to be aware of. It was a fabulous break from the same-old, same-old stays with big box store decor. What a gem!

Fantastic Way to Enjoy Houston

Very comfortable, fascinating, fun, secluded in the middle of a busy city. They didn’t miss a detail. The best of the 60s with a very private and expansive vista of the Buffalo Bayou valley. Love to do it again!

Grad Weekend

Stayed here twice this May for our kids’ graduations which were help on separate weekends. Both times were amazing- it is a unique vibe but very homey and comfortable! Its in a great neighborhood and has an amazing back deck space and view. Parking is limited to 5 spaces like indicated and literally no more. We had a small issue the first weekend and it was taken care of by the time we returned! Super attentive host!!! We will be back!

Artsy Buffalo Bayou

Very cool residence; the art, indoor furnishing, retro stemware, and location makes this location amazing. I enjoyed the living and dinning rooms; socializing with my family, talked about the art work, played games, or having a cocktail or two. The outdoor space needs some work; but nothing that would prevent you from enjoying a front and center seat on the bayou to enjoy the sounds and views. I would recommend to adults if you’re looking for a groovy vibe and perfect location to enjoy HTown

Great Wedding Weekend

My son was getting married. My husband and I stayed here with my parents and my daughter and her husband. The house was very spacious
 We had room to have our hair and make up done before the wedding
 Loved sitting out on the patio every morning
 Was super close to our venue. Definitely need to know that there are quite a few stairs in case you’re bringing someone that that would be a problem for. Also, the third floor bedroom doesn’t have a bathroom on that floor
 But that was fine for my daughter and her husband. We would definitely stay here again loved all the fun decor , and especially the view out the back windows on the Bayou and the trees.

Great place!

We were in town for a wedding and I wanted to get us a nicer place than just a hotel. This home was perfect! It was very aesthetically pleasing and I loved the back area by the bayou. Beds were comfortable, and the main living area had plenty of space for all of us to sit.

We had a wonderful time here and it satisfied our needs. Our flight was delayed and it was very rainy when we checked in. There were no lights on, so it was difficult to find in the dark and hard to enter. If everything went as planned we would not have had any issues. Great place otherwise.

Peaceful and relaxing

We had a great stay and enjoyed the peaceful back deck. Though right on Chimney Rock you couldn’t hear any road noise in the house and it was a great nights sleep.
