Rudyâs roost Rental Cabin - near Back of the Dragon Route 16
Quiet but located on a working farm with chickens, cows & fruit trees. Relax on the porch with a Glass of wine (or tea) looking at the beautiful Mountain Viewâs. Expect a peaceful nights sleep & especially when it rains with the sound on the tin roof. We are pet friendly, there is a $40 pet fee. If the fee isnât added at time of booking, we will add it.
This is a great little overnight stay especially for motorcyclists. Main road leading to the cabin is right off Hwy 16 (Back of the Dragon) - so very close to Tazewell. The couches and bed was super comfy. For cooking there is a microwave, 2 hot plates and a toaster oven. And hot water in the shower! Quiet farming area and the cabin is located on the property of the hosts. Perfect stay for 1-2 people while youâre enjoying the beauty of the motorcycle roads in the area. If youâre coming on a motorcycle, be advised that the driveway from the road is paved until you reach the top then the driveway to the cabin is gravel.
We absolutely loved the stay at the cabin, we loved the quiet views, and enjoyed the wine tasting and the great company of our lovely hosts! Will be back for sure!
This little cabin is the perfect getaway. Cozy, quiet and clean. The view is lovely and we enjoyed the watching the cow saunter past. Host was quick to reply when we had a question and everything was as expected.
The moment we arrived, we were greeted with a warm welcoming. As soon as we got in our cabin, we felt like we were at home. Such a warm and cozy place. We WILL be back! Thank you for everything!
My husband, pooch & I enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It has all of amenities needed & beautiful view to top it off. Thereâs also wine tasting by appointment on the premises (which I totally signed up for). The hosts are so friendly & down to earth. I thoroughly enjoyed conversing with them. We normally stay at a local hotel while in the area but this was so much better! Itâs so quiet & serene. We would definitely stay here again & highly recommend it.
This little place is as described. It is small and has all of the basics to relax . Beds are very comfortable and sitting area couches are great. It has the basics to cook a small meal. There is only one heater but it does the job well. Fun to walk out the door and see cows and chicken.
My husband, two adult sons and I needed a place near Cedar Bluff to attend a funeral. With two dogs, it is not always easy to find a nice, clean place in small towns. This place is exactly as advertised, very clean and had everything we needed. The host made everything easy, giving all details well before we arrived. I was worried that the cabin would be too small for all of us, even offered to put the boys in a nearby hotelâbut even they preferred the peace and quiet of this cozy cabin.
If you are in the areaâI would recommend staying here over any hotel.
This cabin was amazing! It is just as pictured. Our front view was fruit trees with the mountain behind them and beside us was beautiful sunflowers. We sat on the porch and watched wild rabbits play. Later that evening we had a toad visit us on the porch. The beds were perfect. We had a great time as a family. I plan to go back this Fall with just my husband to view the Fall leaves. Only thing is don't believe GPS. If it takes you to a gravel road/driveway you have gone too far. It is the paved driveway right before that.
I did not want to return to my home in Richmond, VA. I am originally from this area, and I would not trade the Peace and Serenity of being, "HOME," for the whole world. The first time I have taken my husband that far away from Richmond. He loved it and would leave everything we have here the stay there.
Very nice, cozy cabin. We enjoyed our stay the only issue we had is our GPS kept taking us to the wrong place. Just watch for the mailbox number and ignore your GPS if it tries to take you down side streets.
