Summary:
Experience your own private beach in the backyard. Ideal for enjoying a fun weekend with friends, corporate lodging with parking or a quick getaway near downtown.

The Space:
10 overnight guests + 4 visitors = 14 total people allowed on property.

Boat House has 3 bedrooms with 6 beds plus couch and perfect for a tight-knit group seeking San Diego sunshine in the yard. Please note beach area is full of high quality golf course silica sand but is not an actual beach.

Guest Access:
Private yard with beach and mood lighting will be yours and yours alone for the trip! Good Life Resorts like to set a good vibe for hanging out while enjoying nice music with friends, family and coworkers. House are located on an alley and we do not have neighbors, so you are welcome to be yourselves and have a good time.

The Neighborhood:
We are located on an alley in a commercial / industrial neighborhood. This rental is not suitable for everyone and is not great for families with small kids or elderly (not a tourist area). Our company, Good Life Resorts, recommends this rental for adventurous and open minded guests that are seeking a totally unique and private experience.

Getting Around:
Uber downtown, conference center or Golden Hills are approximately 6 blocks
Airport only 10 minutes
Coronado Beach (10 min)
Mission Beach & Pacific Beach (20 min)

Other Things to Note:
Parking for 2-3 cars included. Free street parking is available nearby. House is on an alley, so it will be half block walk to exit the alley and park your car.

House & entrance are located on an ugly alley in a commercial / industrial neighborhood. It’s safe, but NOT recommended for kids. You are welcome to bring kids ONLY if you are adventurous and let us know any concerns before you book. No refunds will be given if you claim you did not know this is a commercial neighborhood nor if you do not like the neighborhood.

During the Covid-19 pandemic NO parties will be allowed under any circumstances.

Animals & pets allowed, $100 non-refundable cleaning fee due at time of reservation. Animals must be disclosed prior to arrival and fee must be paid to owner before arrival.

Interaction with Guests:
Our guests will receive a digital code for entry. We are available nearby to help and will keep in touch while providing you with privacy.

Relaxing

This was such a great little house to stay in and we loved the vibe of everything on the outside. The corn hole was amazing to have while here!

The city gave no notice and when trying to leave for beach, they had dug a 6 foot deep and 20 foot

Continued: dug ditch that totally blocked us from leaving Waited hours for them to cover ditch for us to pull out. Was told they would be taking cover off and working next few days. Not real convenient for family with 3, 6, 11, and 12 year old

The city of San Diego dug a trench behind our rental without providing notice. We apologized. We offered a full refund and offered to let her stay for free but they left after being inconvenienced for 2 hours. Apologies for the random city upgrade to the alley; at least we have a new sewer connection now.

Worst experience I have ever had

The listing does not prepare you for what to expect upon arrival. Prepare to be confronted by strung out homeless people on your way down the sketchy alleyway to the old gate to the property. From there, you will be greeted by a plethora of spiders inside, showcasing their intricate webs. If you feel like this is enough to bring to the attention of the owner, you will be mocked and have your appearance insulted. We stayed for a total of 30 minutes before leaving. No refund given for the multiple nights booked, nothing. The safety equipment listed? Yeah, broken or empty. Floors are caving in and a harmony of what sounds like gunfire nearby. Good luck and may the odds be ever in your favor.

Our listing is very clear about the neighborhood. Guest did not read the listing before booking or any messages that we provide to let him know about the area. We asked Alec to provide photos to confirm anything he was worried about but Alec never responded and never confirmed that he wanted to cancel. As the owner, I was in the house 2 hours before guest arrived and the house looks good, like the photos taken in May 2023. As Alec did not confirm his cancellation nor respond to any messages, we could not cancel nor rebook nor enter the house until end of his stay. As the listing states, please do not book our house if you are a concerned family; we are honest hosts that describe the low income area in our listing and have been fair to guests for over 12 years and 1700 reviews with 4.8+ stars on other sites. This particular listing is located in an alley in a commercial neighborhood as stated in the listing. Also, stated in the listing is that you can not arrive and ask for a refund due to the neighborhood .... This is a fair priced listing for such an amazing rental because of the neighborhood. Please book this house if you want to have fun, have adventures, are a cool honest person.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

Our Boat House is located very closely to Coronado, Downtown Gaslamp district, Balboa Park, the San Diego Convention Center, Petco Park, and the I-5 freeway! Beaches are only a 15 minute drive away and we have lots of parking for the size of our rental.

Enjoy late nights and comfortable evenings in our string light lit patio, or sleep in late in our memory foam mattresses! Including 2 Sonos brand speakers, we encourage you to play your music without a risk of keeping up neighbors close by.

We have hosted over 500 groups at this location since 2017. Along with our excellent communication and local knowledge, we are confident to make sure your stay is whatever you're looking to make it!
