Great Location If You Want To Be Close To DT San Antonio!

Really great experience staying here. Jessica was a great host with great communication. You also can’t beat the location of the house, everything we wanted to do downtown was a 5-10 minute drive!

Perfect location for our needs!

We were in town for a cheerleading competition and this location was 5 minutes from where we needed to be. The property is right off the highway, but we never felt unsafe or like it was a “bad area”. Check in and communication were straightforward and timely!

I 35 Frontage

Property was perfect for a quick stayover, right off the interstate and easy to locate. Everything you could want within a few blocks drive. Buds were super comfy.

So close to everything!

Jessica was an excellent host! The property is a little tricky to find but with jessica”s detailed instructions, it was perfect. The towels were soft and clean and the bed was comfy. Perfect for what we needed for our stay in beautiful San Antonio.

Great experience

A wonderful little home right of the frontage perfect for getting to where you need to fast. If you are going to be out and about and need a perfect little home to stay, rest and sleep for the night this is perfect. Quick access to the interstate to when where your going and quick to get back to the home.

Enjoyable Stay in San Antonio

My accommodation in the unit was excellent as I had plenty of space and was able to have my dog with me. The location provided easy access to the conference site in Downtown San Antonio and to various restaurants. The neighbors were friendly and the manager was client-friendly while booking, during my stay, and during the checking out process.

We arrived at the property to find that it had been double booked. Imagine the danger I would’ve put myself in. Had I just use the code and walked in. Thank goodness, my wife heard somebody inside. I tried to contact the property manager and by the time she got back to me, I had already found another place to stay. Worst experience of my life and I will be pursuing every avenue to get my money back.

We were in quick for a graduation. The only issue was the lock was tricky. I also didn’t realize it was right off the highway. Overall though it was a very nice place.

Worth it!

This was a great stay! It is right next to the highway but TV, music, or a fan drowns it out pretty well. The house appears to be older so of course it can use some fixing up but it was still in good condition and easy to stay in. Anything that did need to be fixed was reported to the property manager. Jessica is very receptive of feedback and aims to make your stay easy. It is a great location as it is usually a less than 10 minute drive to all main down town locations- Towers of America, Alamo, Riverwalk.

VRBO Review

The house is small and updated. There is no back yard and no chairs for the front porch. Cleanliness was poor and lack of towels and washcloths available. Jessica responded quickly when messages were sent. I was disappointed that the request for porch chairs was not honored. We did receive towels and washcloths although they still had the store tags on them and were not washed. There is no available washer/dryer on premise. The house faces the freeway and is loud. There is a dog next door that is out and barks a lot. We were there to sleep and it was fine but I would not recommend this place if you are looking for a relaxing vacation as it is loud and no place to sit outside.

Guest made a request for chairs we did no accommodation requests due to us not advertising ,we don’t offer porch chairs. As much as we wanted to accommodate the request we were unable to . It would be great to do this for every guest if they requested what was not on are listing unfortunately we can’t. Guest wrote in review there was lack of bath towels we did have enough for two guest which we had in the home was 2 towels , two wash clothes . Guest did want extra we went out to purchase new towels for guest we didn’t wash im sure guest needed them right away. For washer and dryers we do have a guest laundry area in back as we mention to guest and it’s in description. Our house keepers had the home clean we didn’t get pictures of anything dirty . We do send cleaners out of anything is dirty and our maintenance guys if there is any issues to resolve things on the spot . I’m sorry we could not met the guest request for chairs , we did meet what we were able to control . Unfortunately the dogs we can’t and any noise pertaining the highway .

Dirty/Noisy/Unsafe

Unfortunately, we decided not to stay due to several concerns we encountered upon arrival.First, the cleanliness of the property was lacking. The floors were dirty and seemed not to have been vacuumed, and we suspected they hadn’t been mopped either. Both beds and their sheets were covered with various types of hair, making it clear that they had not been properly cleaned or washed.The parking situation and the walk to the front door were inconvenient and awkward. The overall exterior gave off a sketchy and dark vibe, making us feel uncomfortable right from the start. Additionally, the noise from the nearby highway was much louder and more disruptive than we had anticipated.While the fragrance in the house was pleasant, it was extremely strong and overwhelming, further adding to our discomfort.Overall, these issues made it impossible for us to feel at ease, leading us to ultimately choose not to stay.

Comfortable, Well Decorated

We felt at-home here. Loved the layout and the decor. Bedrooms were large. My bed was soft and comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed (but then we mostly ate out). There wasn’t much to do when it was time to check out. I appreciated that. It was a bit confusing where the entrance was. But we figured it out from the pictures. The neighborhood is fine except that my 16-year-old daughter didn’t sleep well because of the proximity to the highway. Lots of loud racing cars on a Saturday night. I didn’t mind it too much but it was definitely loud. There’s also a pretty sketchy neighborhood only a few blocks away. Didn’t feel as safe after seeing that. Finally, a few recommendations for the owner: be sure to fill the soap containers (one in bathroom was empty). Get a better towel rack for the bathroom. Include a binder with instructions (like Wi-Fi information which wasn’t easy to find), local restaurants, etc.

Not cleaned

When we arrived, we found the place not cleaned and dirty towels were on the floor. Bathroom sink was dirty. Food in the fridge and freezer. Send several messages to host until finally heard from her. Ask me to send pictures. Also AC was at 93 degrees tried to get it to work with no avail. Sent another message to host waited 30 min finally got an answer offering a refund. Left the place at 8:30 pm and was able to find another rental through another app since it was too late to find a place on VRBO. Horrible experience. A total nightmare. By the way. I only got a refund for the rental and not the additional fees.

Not clean, poor response from owner

We arrived in the afternoon, and getting into the property was easy with the access code given by the owner. However, we found a dead cockroach in the bathroom and saw a living one in the kitchen within only a couple hours of being there. We also saw that there was milk left in the fridge which was a month past its expiration date. We reached out to the property owner asking for any amount of partial refund (as we did not want to stay in a roach infested house and found a much cleaner hotel), and it took over 24 hours for a response. In said response, we were asked for picture evidence. We had not taken pictures, telling the property owner that the dead cockroach and the milk were still where we had left them if they wanted to see for themselves. Very disappointed in how this situation was handled by the owner.

Just know before you go…

You need to know that this property is on a feeder road to a major freeway and that there are No window coverings in the kitchen and living room. This property didn’t feel safe and without the coverings on the windows it made us feel very vulnerable especially when it got dark. We were excited to see a lock on the bedroom door but the door would not close. We felt so uncomfortable that we only stayed one night. This property owner refused to offer a refund… know that before you rent this property. She did offer to fix the fire alarm. That just wasn’t the real issue however it did start going off at 3am again so I should’ve taken her up on it. Property owner offered to fix the fire alarm and already knew about the broken gate latch and towel rack. I was on vacation and didn’t want anyone coming in for repairs. My daughters and I had to leave because we didn’t feel safe. So unfortunate. Refund was refused.

Located conveniently near the hubbub of San Antonio, this property was in close proximity to Fort Sam Houston. Easy access to major highways and thoroughfares, made navigation around town very simple. Host was responsive to the needs and questions. Overall, a pleasant experience.
