Problems with air conditioner in back (also largest) bedroom. Owner offered right away to bring stand alone a/c unit so I suspect that this is a known problem. Also offered to let me out at no cost for REST of the stay to go to another place--- but I had to be out by 10am next morning no later--she tells me at 5pm in the afternoon. Problem with that was we paid her extra to check in early so my husband could help me unload some items. (no she didnât refund that either) We had to cut a trip short and send husband out from closest airport. Because of type of trip we had been on we had some large/bulky/cumbersome things that are hard to move by one person into top of car travel carrier. I also had dogs so that makes it another type of difficult. Overall easier to stay than leave. Luckily it rained ALOT while I was there and was cloudy for all but the first two days. Will say ALL the a/c mini splits are hands down noisiest I have ever experienced. Having owned them myself they were annoying. Also used my own fan plus hersNo dishwasher soap--not cool. No laundry soap in the price--fine but usually makes for a nice.Convenient to Riverwalk areas. Not far from tourist stuff.Neighbourhood looks sketchy but is quiet and safe.I rate is a solid MEH....itâs ok but I wouldn't personally stay again for that price. I will however go back to San Antonio. Lots more to explore See picture for Confluence Park--nice place close by. Botanical Garden was a good place also
We were looking for a stay close to the Alamo dome. This is a great location. Perfect Little House for us. We loved it!. I would definitely stay here again. The owner was wonderful. Communication was great.
The property is everything you could ask for a small budget visit. It was clean with an open floor plan. The bed was comfortable, the a/c worked good. We recommend this place.
The property is well maintained and I had no direct interaction with the host. The air conditioner mini split units did not cool the property to a comfortable temperature. I think they might need Freon or maintenance.
We booked the bungalow for a last minute trip to SeaWorld for our 6 year old son. The property size was great for our family of 3, good sized living room, efficient kitchen with studio/apartment size appliances and a 3 piece bath. The neighborhood was an eclectic urban setting with older homes and Greek revivals, some remodeled and some not. Train came by few times a night so it wasnât the whitest but it wasnât loud by any means. The parking behind the gate was a little tricky with our minivan and the mimosa tree but we made it work. Grocery stores are not too awfully close but definitely not remote. WiFi was great, AC couldâve been a tad more efficient (front bedroom was definitely the coldest!) but other than that, it was perfect!
The house was Very comfortable, open and clean. It was centrally located to everything. I wish we had more time to explore, but we were only there for a couple of nights. The kitchen was well equipped. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Very cute and clean place!! Easy reservations, communication, and check in and out. The only thing was we had to buy more toilet paper and dish soap because the supply was low when we got there. Overall it was a great place to stay đ
We had a pleasant 3 night stay. The location was 10-15 minutes from all of our family activities and our family memberâs homes. Close to downtown.
The home was clean and pleasant. Very quiet neighborhood. Neighborhood is up and comingâŠ. With several homes that have been refurbished nearby. We were able to park 2 SUVs behind the locked gate in the backyard. We did feel comfortable to park one car on the street in front of the house.
AC worked great. Good outside lighting at night.
Just a few minor suggestionsâŠ. Upgrade towels, refill hand soaps prior to new guest arrival, water plants or replace or eliminate them all together. We loved the Welcome signđ
Overall nice place. We enjoyed our stay.
This is my second time staying at this property and it was wonderful as the first time very very clean quiet neighborhood great place to stay if youâre in San Antonio
We enjoyed our stay. The home is comfortable and had all the necessities needed. The host was responsive throughout the stay. The space was just right for my husband, my college aged son, and myself. We enjoyed the backyard space and the porch. The house stayed cool in the 100 degree weather. Note that the house isnât really walkable to restaurants, coffee, etc., but there is parking and those places are easily driveable. We enjoyed our time and would recommend this location!
The property was exactly as advertized. It was spacious enough for the two of us (we didnt use the spare bedroom). Everything worked well - we could use our own streaming service on the TV, the a/cs in living and bedroom worked well and were intuitive, and the kitchen was well stocked. Front porch and back yard sitting areas. The neighborhood is kind of a mixed bag and is being gentrified gradually. Less than a 10 min drive to Riverwalk; same for the HEB grocery store. We didnt use public transport but I think there was a bus stop close by. Communication with Marie and instructions for entry were flawless. We would definitely stay here again.
Loved it.
The location looks sketch if you're expecting fancy, look elsewhere HOWEVER
Looks are deceiving.
The area was quiet, and neighbors were friendly.
Central to alot of things and served our purpose well.
One thing is we could not figure out the futon and it seems like it was just a regular sectional couch. I could be wrong
Other than that minor sleeping arrangement, every else was almost perfect!
PS backyard doesn't have a grill but very comfy with a fire pit.
We will definitely be interested in booking again!
Excellent property in an up & coming area. House is equipped with everything youâll need.
Great back yard with propane fire and big enough to park your vehicle.
Location was great, 10~15 minute car ride to River Walk, great restaurants, grocery store, shopping, zoo and much more.
Also visited Free Tail brewery which is only 3 mins away. Great food and a good selection of craft beer.
Our host Marie was great although we didnât need to contact her as everything was very well explained and straightforward.
Would stay again. đ
This is a handsom home with nice fixtures and surfaces and furniture. We were happy with our choice. For the owner's info, the AC in the living room is making noise. The washer/dryer was filled with sheets and towels.
The property itself was perfect for us. Had a backyard for our Beagle to run around. Very clean and the host was very responsive and accomedated our very short notice for our trip. The only reason I gave 4 stars for the location was there are trains that come near at different hours and the horn is annoying. Ia a light sleeper so it woke me a few times the first night. Second night, noise generator and it was just fine. The tracks are not next door but just nearby. I would rent again if my travels bring me back there!
Marie was a great host and was super-quick on communicating. Great amenities and comfortable bed. Neighborhood is typical downtown San Antonio with some revitalization mixed with older properties. Easy to reach the Riverwalk and Convention Center.
We enjoyed our 3+ weeks very much. This area has some great parks for walking, hiking, cycling, etc. Lots of great restaurants, bars, shopping and Arts District close by. Owner was an excellent host and very quick to respond to your needs.
