Big Lake Cabin with Hot Tub/ Kayaks/ Ping Pong/ Cable
The "Sunshine Cabin" enjoys ample natural sun year around from its lofty position up in the trees. The large picture window overlooking Big Lake provides a birds eye view of both the canopy and lake. This 81â deep lake has an island and home to many types of fish that's why we brought fishing/recreational kayaks for our guests. The boat launch access is just 1.6 miles from the sunshine cabin. The cabin is secluded on 1.45 acres of trees. This listing is all about the experience.
We really enjoyed our stay at this clean and comfortable home in the woods. The hosts did a great job ensuring we had a nice visit to the Gaylord area. We look forward to returning!
Me and my boyfriend stayed with our 2 dogs and had a great experience. The cabin was very clean. Since itâs winter we loved that the hot tub was inside. Overall very nice and we would stay again.
The property is very beautiful, the inside of the cabin was very clean and cozy. I would recommend to anyone and i can see myself coming back in the future. Excellent stay 10/10
This was one of the cleanest and nicest cabins that we have stayed in. The host was very friendly and responsive and answered all of our questions within minutes of messaging. We will definitely be back.
Big Lake Cabin was perfect. It was adorable, clean and had everything we could ever need. Such a great place to stay while visiting friends on the lake. We would highly recommend!
Perfect place to get away and relax. Plenty of great places to check out in the area. Cozy, clean, a little home away from home feeling. The owners are very helpful with everything.
Lovely treehouse experience, peaceful, and autumn colors! We were quite impressed that the owners checked in with us a couple times during our stay. Very helpful and very prompt in replying to text. Overall wonderful stay!
Enjoyed our stay. Very quiet pet friendly cabin. Our dogs loved playing outside and inside. A very simple, short drive into Gaylord. Host is very responsive and easy to work with. Iâd definitely recommend.
Although the weather did not cooperate for the primary purpose of the stay (snowmobiling), the accommodations' ensured a pleasant Northern Michigan experience. Very comfortable property for a couple or small group.
The house looked just like the pictures! Beautiful & clean. Garage rec area was fun! Had a good stay. Would definitely recommend. Thanks for hosting us.
I would give this a excellent rating. It was super clean, and well decorated. It was very organized. The hot tub was very clean, and the area it was in was very well heated.
Each room hss a separate thermostat so you can control each room to your comfort level. Plenty of towels, plus there was coffee, and a cocoa bar. It was decorated for the holiday. It was very peaceful and quiet, but I didn't feel.secluded. Beds were very comfortable. Plenty of parking. Plow came in a very timely manner to plow and shovel the snow that had fallen. I would highly recommend this place. It was within 5 miles to two ski resorts plus Gaylord.
This home is beautiful! The sidewalk was well maintained each day during the snow. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking. Plenty of blankets. Great basement space with cornhole, pingpong and a hot tub. We loved it and have zero negative feedback. It was perfect! Highly recommend staying here!
My family of five (kids 12, 10, and 7) had a great time here. We didn't have much snow. But we were more than happy playing ping pong and enjoying the hot tub. They especially liked the hot cocoa bar. Everything was as shown in the photos and well kept. Very satisfied.

We have a high ceiling heated garage that is turned into a recreational zone. In the garage, we are adding an indoor hot tub scheduled to be in 08/18/2022 that can be used all the year no matters what the weather outside besides a ping pong table, and corn hole. In the second floor, we have a high vaulted ceiling and the walls in the open space living/dining and kitchen are made from oak wood with its natural wood color and the freestanding gas stove heater the entire place is made to be soothing and relaxing. All the rooms have an individual thermostat so you can set your preferred temperature.
