Great house and responsive host. Only issue really is the hot tub takes hours to heat up in the winter, but has a timer that shuts it off so we couldnât heat it up to use after skiing.
The property is surrounded by beautiful trees, shining golden yellow with the fall colors. We loved sitting in the hot tub under the stars. The property was in the perfect location within an hours drive to Boyne and Mackinac City.
We especially appreciated the high chair and Pack N Play being available for the infant in our party. We would definitely choose this property again in the future.
Stayed here visiting family that has place on the lake. Just what we needed. Close to everything we needed and nice having access to dock with kayaks and canoe.
Excellent stay at Chaseâs place! Had everything we needed and super clean (I am picky about cleanliness:) ). Plenty of towels and nice touch with extra toothbrushes, toiletries, ect. Can tell he put thought into making a comfortable stay!! Thank you for sharing your home and would recommend 100%!!
I stayed here with 3 couples, all with children 2 and under. The home was exactly how described, and fit us all very well. The ranch style home was great because there were no steps for the kids, and with the floor plan it was easy to track them. The house was equipped with all the cookware we needed.
We spent most days hanging around the house, and ventured out towards Gaylord each day to get away. During the evening the parents took to the hot tub, and enjoyed watching the stars and talking.
The only negative was the road leading to the house was on a dirt road that was covered in holes, so it was a slightly treacherous trip to and from the house, but that may have just been given the time of year, and in my opinion is not enough of a deterrent to avoid the house.
I would definitely recommend this home to anyone looking.
Grew up in eastern Michigan, currently reside in St Clair MI. I enjoy all the seasons Michigan gives us. I like being a host because people can experience our "Gonion's Getaway" too.
Love the feel of the neighborhood, location to town and other big attractions up north, but yet feels up north. We love the privacy we have at our place. Gaylord is know as the snow belt of the lower and we love to snowmobile right from our place. The summer time is great in our sub too. From the pool to boating to bonfires. We have it all it seems.
The privacy for sure. We enjoy the hot tub out back especially after a day of snowmobiling or boating. We have a big firepit outside, plus our big driveway is great for trucks and trailers to bring the toys up. I also own a lot on the water that is two blocks and can walk down to. I put a seasonal dock up that guests can use and launch the kayaks from. Next year (2024) I will have a firepit down by the water. Currently working on putting up an igloo dome to enjoy (hopefully it will by up by end of 2023).
