Birders; the property is home to the most bio-diverse wetlands in Gold Country! Quiet crickets, frogs and water will wrap you in a cocoon. This unplugged getaway is close to world class dining, entertainment and swimming(South Yuba) in Nevada City and Grass Valley within 15-20 minutes.

The cabin was immaculate, with ice cubes and a bottle of wine. Bed is very comfortable, kitchen is stocked with with dishes/pans. There are beautiful walks to be had, and the seclusion is the biggest gift. If you go - bring your snacks and meals and say goodbye to the world!

We visited in April when temperatures were moderate and the hills were a glorious green. The porch is pleasant and the interior is cozy. Kitchen is well equipped with quality cutlery. Plenty of firewood inside for the fireplace but for the inexperienced, it's not easy to get a fire started. Excellent Starlink Wifi but no smart TV, so if you like streaming a movie in the evening, bring a laptop to watch it on. Recommended place.

The location was amazing and the cabin was perfect. Wish we could have stayed longer. My wife and I will definitely make this a destination spot throughout the year. It was so nice to be on the ranch without city noise. The only sounds were nature.

Perfect get away from the noise of the city, particularly over the long weekend. Very much enjoyed our time in the peace and quiet, and my husband loved having the pond there....caught (and released) quite a number of fish over our stay. Great find and hope to book again.

Idyllic and comfortable cabin away from it all.

Spent a long weekend at this cozy cabin. It's small, but well appointed and we lacked for nothing. An ideal setting to get back to nature, we saw and heard plenty of wildlife including several deer. Even with an outside temp in the 90s, it felt comfortable in the cabin with the A/C. Sitting on the porch at night, with gentle night time breezes was perfect.

Beautiful and relaxing getaway!

This place is stunning; the decor is cozy/welcoming and the place is clean. Sean was very helpful and easy to communicate with, and check in/ out were smooth. The hammock was a relaxing place to unwind with a book by the pond. Will definitely be back when we need to unwind and unplug again!

delightful duck pond restful retreat

My husband and I were delighted at every turn. The duck pond cabin was up-to-date with amenities and by the way it was stocked. Sean and the staff were extremely responsive and accommodating. They certainly know how to cater to guests.! Didn't catch fish this time but will certainly try again. Thank you for a wonderful mini, mostly "unplugged" break from our busy lifestyle.

Cozy, clean, and just amazing!

My husband and I stayed here in February 2023 for 2 nights which were NOT long enough. Next time I will have to book a whole week because neither of us wanted to leave. We saw ducks in the pond, deer roaming around, got to see some horses and cute cows on the property...it was the most relaxing experience. Can't wait to book it again!

We had the nicest time and will definitely be back! I loved all the details of the cabin! Very nice and super comfortable! It was very peaceful and quiet. We all wanted to stay longer! Tranquility

Our Duck Pond cabin stay couldn't have been more relaxing. The stream and waterfalls were beautiful, the birdwatching was good and the area in and outside of the cabin even better than we expected. Air conditioning and a super comfortable king bed. No noise, no interruptions, just perfection.

Such A Great Place

We had a great time at this cabin. I loved the welcome sign with my name at the front door. The bottle of red wine was also a nice touch. The design inside the cabin was amazing. The only negative would be the dog hair on the breakfast nook bench and the refrigerator being dirty inside. Otherwise we would stay there again.

Great place to unplug with the family

Our stay at duck pond was just as wonderful as advertised. The cabin was clean, comfortable, and stocked with everything our family of four (adult to 6years old) needed. The property itself was serine and ruggedly well kept. The loft ladder was quite steep. So, not for anyone who may not be able to climb a vertical ladder or very young children. The kayak onsite was a nice touch but another PFD would have been nice. Overall duck pond was a 5 star for our family and would definitely rent again!
