Hayward, Wi private cabin with great fishing, in the Chequamegon national forest

This guest must not have looked at all the pictures I put on the listing. It shows right in the listing a picture how the river looks at this time of year. I don’t know why they couldn’t get the kayaks in by the dock because all my other renters have. Just read the review of the people who were there before her. You can go right up the river and get to the middle with the kayaks!. It shows this is not a place for swimming. It’s more for fishing and the wildlife in the area. Most people come to fish and enjoy nature! I let her know there is a beach right down the road but I guess they were too lazy to check it out. I don’t know why she even stayed at a cabin in the Northwoods if her kids were so scared. I feel this is no place for a over protective mother. As for the bullet, it was just an antique we found in the woods. Nothing to hurt anyone! I don’t know what she is talking about finding a razor blade, I cleaned that whole cabin the day they came. As for the bar of soap, I usually give new ones out which most people don’t do but I must not have seen that one in the shower. Also when you are in the National forest and the woods you have to understand there are insects all over and there is always going to be insects everywhere. We also get Orkin and most rentals don’t even get that! This woman was impossible to please and she should have looked at the listing better before she rented my cabin. Also you have to understand this is our family cabin and there are personal items.

First of all I think that this review is totally inappropriate. He made it sound like our cabin is inhabitable. We take great pride in our cabin and are very proud of it. I don’t know if this person has ever been to Hayward before but you are in the Northwoods and there are very many mosquitoes, especially this year because of all the snow and warm winter. Yes I understand that you shouldn’t have them in the house but when they are so bad outside some do come in. I stayed there right before them and there were a few. As for the ants there was no infestation there were a few on the bedroom floor but he told me not to take care of it because his wife had a medical condition. I’m sorry if one mouse got in the cabin, things do happen. We get Orkin every month and are always on top of things. As to not hearing back from me, I was in touch with this man at least three or four times and tried to make them happy. I even offered him the use of a fishing boat for 100.00 and this is something we normally don’t do, and gave him the use of the life jackets.We even offered kayaks for free. If they weren’t happy they could have left but they chose to stay almost the whole time. They used all my sheets up and left things a mess. He was supposed to leave 100.00 for the use of the boat for the week but he didn’t even leave the money after he said he would. It usually costs at least 500.00 a week for a fishing boat. I even refunded him 500.00 for the week. Which VRBO says I didn’t have to do. Never rent to this man. You cannot please him. Thankyou Corie
