Texas City is between Kemah and Galveston. Itâs home to a large refinery and a 5miles man made fishing pier. Guests who stay here enjoy a quiet night after a long day at Schlitterbaun, the beach, Kemah boardwalk and all the bz activities 15-30mns from Kemah. The house is directly across the office of TX City Housing Authority. Itâs very safe and owner. Also the all the school buses from the town are parked near this home. Lots of security and police supervision. Very quiet town pretty much asleep after 9:30pm Enjoy a stylish experience at this centrally-located place.
Literally 2 miles from Texas City beach near the dike.
Located 10mns to other beaches (Galveston and Kemah) and the shopping outlets. Quiet and beautiful town after a sunny beach day. The space Cozy and quiet place, excellent opportunity to sleep well very little light pollution.
Texas City as a town goes to sleep around 8:30/9pm.
We have really enjoyed staying here, we love the little house itâs perfect for our family of 4 . The internet is great and the house is very homey . Very close to town to do shopping or grocery shopping . Amazon also has same day shipping which is convenient! We absolutely loved our stay and if we are ever on another job in Texas city we will for sure stay here again !!
We had a fairly good first jight besides feeling slightly unsafe in the area which was ok, after all we did choose the location however the second day, the ac stopped working and would not cool down the house, saying a wire was not connected properly and received minimum help with no offer of a refund when we chose to leave due to the house being 87 inside.and we received
We really enjoyed our stay! The house was just right for a last minute trip. The host was great and gave detailed instructions on everything. My only complaint is the rental could use a good cleaning. There was alot of human and dog hair through out the home. I have terrible allergies so this made it a little challenging. Everything else was great, comfortable space, quiet neighborhood. I would definitely book again if needed.
Overall, we had a good experience. The home is older but well-decorated and laid out nicely. The neighborhood felt a bit sketchy at firstâthe entrance itâs located in a back alley in a more industrial areaâbut it was quiet and well-kept with no issues during our stay. The home is very close to being perfect but could use more attention to detail. When we arrived, the front porch was cluttered, floors were dirty (we had to sweep), and the stove and fridge/freezer werenât clean. There was also a glass with dirty tissue left near the TV. The bathroom had several partially used soap and shampoo bottles, which gave it a lived-in feel. There wasnât a liner in the bathroom, not a problem we used our own.The biggest issue was a surprise visit from a service tech to check the AC. We received a message just 5 minutes before he arrived. This was unprofessional and disruptiveâguests shouldn't have to deal with maintenance during a paid stay. That visit should have been arranged before or after our trip, or at least discussed with us in advance. The host acted like it was not a big deal...It is!We followed all the checkout instructions, but it wouldâve been nice if the same level of care was taken to prepare the home before we arrived. With a little more cleaning and better communication, this place could be exceptional.
My son was getting married in Galveston and we wanted to stay in a home away from home. It was the perfect spot, quiet and peaceful, and the neighborhood was full of friendly people. Thank you Christian for making our stay so welcoming!
The house is very nice and the neighbors are very peaceful but i guess the host forgot leave back sugar and salt for us lol...overall we have a good times our 3 years anniversary.
I liked everything about my stay. The house was clean and smelled good. The host was very kind and helped me in a couple of situations. I liked sitting on the front porch early mornings drinking my coffee and listening to the hustle bustle of the day. I highly recommend this property. I will stay again if there is a vacancy.
Located in the middle between galveston and keemah. Nothing fancy but just what we were looking for. About a 20 min drive in either direction. Neighborhood was very quiet after dark. Grocery stores and food places 5 mins down the street. Would definitely stay agian!
This little house was perfectly situated to do the activities we had planned. Texas City is quite an interesting place and we explored it. Close to cruise terminal and beaches. Even in December our little girls wanted to walk the beach and yes even got in the water.
House is older and in a quiet neighborhood. Comfy beds and other furniture made the stay pleasant. It is exactly as pictured. Great value!
Address was not clarified had to look up the housing addition to get address , we would turn ac down but then I guess they have remote access so then itâs turned up so we got hot. You pay for what you get
We came down for a softball tournament. Chose this house that was between the fields and the beach so we could do both. We arrived and had to clean the house before we could put anything up. All fans and return vent was COVERED in dust. Went to look for a towel to clean and they were all in the washer not washed or piled on the floor next to the dryer. Got everything inside and couldnât get the tv to work so just used our phone to mirror and stream. Went to sleep work up and the A/C stopped blowing and showed replace batteries. Asked the property manager for batteries and how to replace them. Her response was âYouTube would be your best betâ ummmmm ok. So got that fixed. Just figured I came and paid to relax only to do the stuff I already do at my own house. I have pictures, but it wonât let me add them. Gonna look for another place next year for the tournament.
