Beech Mountain Ski Resort, Grandfather Mountain State Park, and Valle Crucis, home of the original Mast General Store and the popular Community Park, are each within a 20-minute drive. The town of Boone, filled with shopping and dining options, is 35 minutes from the home, as is quaint downtown Blowing Rock.

Step through classic stone arches and enter the foyer and light-filled living room. There is a cozy seating area in the living room around the gas log fireplace. Another living room table sits facing the wall of picture windows revealing the beautiful mountain view, it is equipped with games or as extra dining room seating. To the right of the foyer, the Library provides walls of books and a small desk. The spacious open kitchen offers a gourmet experience preparing meals with an oversized fridge, granite countertops, and built-in ovens. The large kitchen island with two barstools, a dining table plus auxiliary tables and chairs can seat up to 16. Off the kitchen is a large study with office space and an oversized laundry room with counters, shelves, and hanging racks. Also on the main level is a two-car garage equipped with a workbench and storage where you can shed ski boots, store equipment, and hang coats or other gear.

The outdoor stone patio will beckon you to relax and enjoy the mountain scenery. Cook dinner in the outdoor kitchen area equipped with a built-in gas grill, an outdoor dining table, and a stone fireplace, then relish a twilight soak in the hot tub.

The king master suite on the main level includes a walk-in closet, and sitting area near the French doors to the patio. The master bathroom contains a soaking tub, a seated vanity, a tiled shower for her, and a separate counter, sink, and tiled shower for him. Upstairs are three guest bedrooms beyond the landing sitting area. The first is a queen suite with a four-poster bed, desk, and an ensuite bathroom. Down the hall are a king bedroom and a twin bedroom with two twin beds. The shared hall bathroom upstairs is between the king and twin rooms and has a tiled shower and a water closet.

The newly added lower level of Morning Star features a spacious second living room attached to a second full kitchen and dining table for 4. The second king master suite boasts a large floor plan with a walk-in closet and access to lower-level parking through French doors. A King room and Queen/Twin/Twin room share a full bathroom with a custom shower and soaking tub. A game room and exercise room round out the lower level.

Additional amenities include high speed wi-fi, a total of 11 Smart TVs with paid programming, and central heating and air. Pets are not allowed.

You may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund. If you cancel more than 30 days before arrival, you will receive a refund of half the amount paid to date. Cancellations within 30 days before the arrival date do not receive a refund. If you purchase travel insurance and the reason for the cancellation is covered, you may recover the entire amount.
