We were staying at this property to have and celebrate my daughter’s wedding. My daughter had the wedding she has always dreamed of. The wedding party stayed in your venue house.There were leaves all of the barn floor when we got there, but we blew them out.Thank you!

Another wonderful stay

Our guests come from Canada, Scotland, NYC and Boston for the Grandfather Mountain Highland Games. This is a perfect spot for our annual reunion.

Great stay

The house was perfect for my father’s 80th birthday celebration. Lots of space for everyone and we never felt crowded. The house is very well stocked for cooking. Patrik was great to work with. We would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful ski slope view!

Plenty of space for 15 of us ranging on age from 5 to 81. Beautiful view of Sugar Mountain ski slopes. Very clean! Easy to get to. Would definitely stay here again with a large group!

Wedding Venue of our dreams

We had an amazing wedding this venue was perfect. The host was great with communication and gave us early check on and check out times to accommodate our schedule. We had a few issues while on site but the host was always easy to contact and quick to offer a solution.

We got married this weekend at this lovely VRBO. Wedding aside we loved the property and the house and barn. If anyone is considering this as their wedding venue I couldn’t recommend it more. Without a doubt the best day of my bride and I’s lives.

Our Senior Trip!

The home was beautiful. It was comfortable and close to Sugar Mountain. The kids loved coming home to a warm home made dinner and they loved sitting outside on the porches. The adults were comfortable and loved the fire pit. The convenience of the location was wonderful. Thank you for allowing us to stay at your beautiful home.

Elopement Wedding

The photos don’t even do this house or property justice, it’s even more beautiful in person. This house was absolutely perfect for our small wedding ceremony. We had both of our immediate families stay with us and got married on the deck overlooking the property. There were also so many beautiful areas for photographs. We would definitely love to stay again for a big family vacation.

Mountain wedding

This was the best location for a wedding! The barn was perfect for the reception! So many different views for photos and hanging out. There was plenty of room for our families in the house and such a relaxing space. Patrick was great with communication. Answered all questions and was very easy to reach/ responsive. He’s a fantastic host. Very easy to work with and understanding. We all loved his property. We had zero issues all weekend.

Awesome weekend!

We recently stayed at this charming cabin and it exceeded all our expectations! The view from the property is absolutely breathtaking, offering a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The cabin itself is a gem. It's not only impeccably maintained but also thoughtfully designed, providing a cozy and comfortable atmosphere. Having multiple bathrooms was a huge plus, ensuring everyone had their own space and privacy. The property manager responded to the messages quickly and friendly. Thank you to the property manager and the owners for sharing this wonderful cabin with us. p.s. Apple map provide better direction than google map

Excellent Wedding Venue

If you are looking for a great place to host your barn wedding, this is an amazing choice! With all of my family and bridesmaids coming from out of town, the house was perfect for us to stay at (and so close to the barn)! My bridesmaids and I were able to stay in the lower level while my family stayed upstairs. With the barn just steps away, I was able to stay in the barn during the evening and work on directions then just take a couple steps back up to the house. So, so, so convenient! And, to add to that, the owner of this property owns a small house nearby that was perfect for the groomsmen (within walking distance of the barn and house)! Patrick was wonderful to work with and was so flexible with all the questions I had. I highly recommend this Vrbo as a great wedding venue if you pay extra for the barn or a great place to stay to go skiing at sugar mtn or visit the high country!

House worth the trip alone!!

We had a large group planning a multi-family ski trip to Sugar. Turns out the weather was not great and we got rained out one day completely and crowded out mostly the second. As it turns out, we had as much fun at this house as we did on the slopes. Barn area was nice to get outside yet out of the weather. Kids ran around the property and played, did some light nature walks and after the rain, we had a nice fire in the huge fire pit. Pleanty of space inside and lots of bedrooms to accommodate multiple families. More than enough bathrooms, nice appointments, great layout, great condition, fantastic porches and convenient to everything in the area. Next time I come to town, I know where I'll be staying!!

Magical cabin and Wedding Venue

The property is absolutely beautiful and the additional barn that was used for our wedding reception was stunning. We had a amazing weekend and couldn’t have without the help of Patrick. He was there every time I had a question or needed help. The house is fully stocked with all that we needed. Beds were comfy, 2 spacious living rooms and Kitchens. The house and barn are well provided for and are spotless. A wonderful rent for a wedding (such as us) or a family reunion. Tons of space and views to look at. The pond being one of the most beautiful At night. Everything is so well lit! Thank you for the best weekend. I wish cherish these memories forever.

Good for a large group

This house is good for a large group with several couples. There are many bedrooms that are mostly all of the same. The master suite is average. There are two kitchens on different floors, but they were both nice. This property is animal friendly, so it has a pet odor throughout most of the house. Location is ok for convenience, but not for the view. Close to Banner Elk and has plenty of parking spaces. The fire pit was very nice and the exterior porches were well equipped. The house is choppy and there is no large open space to hang out in, but that is the trade off for the large number of rooms. Not one of my favorites houses in the area, but if you have 7-8 married couples, it was very accommodating.
