Beautiful inside where it counts. Not so nice outside.

Very comfortable unit. Great inside. Had trouble with the door code but they were fast helping us resolve the issue.

The rental was a cute comfy place. The bad part was the grounds around the building and entrance was overgrown with weeds. Stairs down to apartment were loose and needed cleaning and painting of this area. The apartment had a kinda musty smell at first but. Went away. All and all good stay.

Fabulous Location

We stayed 3 nights at the Executive Work Space in Fairbanks and had a great stay. The Pros: Location! It is very close to the river and the walking path. I walked there every morning and evening and it was a beautiful path leading to downtown and the Visitor Center, Golden Heart Plaza and many restaurants and attractions. The apartment was also very clean and comfortable with like new accommodations. It was warm in Fairbanks while we were there so we appreciated the fans provided (air conditioning is rare in Fairbanks). The new washer and dryer were also very convenient. Cons: the exterior looks a little shabby driving up to it and it is a daylight basement. I would have liked to open the windows but there were no screens and I was concerned about mosquitos. We had a little trouble getting WiFi working but we reset the modem and had no further issues. All in all It was a comfortable, safe, and enjoyable stay. Much better than a hotel!

Inaccurate description with awful smells of water in kitchen sink

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very unhappy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Misrepresented description of location. Not "business" at all but worst property in a residential community with elementary school. #8 in a unit of apartment is a slum with old tires in the driveway, dead things in the weeds you have to step over to enter the stairway to a basement level. Windows are filthy with mud, stairs flaky paint, mailboxes rusted out. Views threw the windows blocked with storage containers, trash cans and a bike. Upon entering the kitchen sink was full with a blocked drain. Filthy and smelly. We called within 3 minutes of entering. They said they would get it fixed. A handy man came with no plumbing tools. He attempted to empty the sink with a large pot from the kitchen and the bathroom trash can. Put the water down the toilet and got everything wet so used bath towels (for our use) to wipe everything up and left dripping towels on the floor next to the washer. Apparently that was supposed to be my job, so I washed and dried and folded them. He said they needed a plumber. We stayed the night with no where else to go. The smells were horrible. Had to eat out with no kitchen to use, and spent the day on a 3 plus tour on a river. They had the whole day to fix it and never did. Stayed the 2nd night since they weren't going to give us our money back. Left the place spotless. My sweeping produced food debris from the previous people. Also no dishwasher means others had to clean the silverware. When we went to use them for a bagged salad, we had to wash them first for food bits were stuck to the forks. They offered no remedy, no apology, no refund, no communication at all. This was not only a vacation for us but we were celebrating our 52 anniversary. Quite some celebration. I was told by family that VRBO is good. That has not been my experience and we won't use them again. I have photos to document all of the conditions. The description is a complete fraud for the outside trash and weeds have been that way for a very long time.

Diane, we are very sorry to hear you feel this way about your stay as we did not hear any of this from you during your time there nor did we receive any photos of these conditions. The listing shows exterior pictures of the building, area, as well as the interior with the amenities listed which do not include a dishwasher so it is unclear how you feel the listing description is not accurate. As soon as you let us know about the clogged drain we sent our handyman by who was unable to completely fix the issue. We then had the plumber scheduled to come the very next day but you guys denied his entry as you stated you were tired and did not want anyone there that day so we were not able to get this taken care of right away for you. Thank you for your feedback as we will take everything in consideration to improve for future guests.

Decent stay in Fairbanks

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property itself is good. Easy to find, spacious, clean and comfortable. The washer and dryer and ample water bottles in the fridge were a nice bonus. The towels and bed sheets felt a little thin and flimsy, but didn't bother us that much. It also doesn't look like much from the outside, but I think the photos are reflective of that.I'd hesitate to deal with the management company again. We had to change our dates and I sent a message through VRBO. They were quick to respond at first (though very brief and not too helpful answers), but then stopped responding when I asked for clarification on something they said. They said they changed the dates, but on VRBO it still showed my original dates. I eventually figured out that they updated it on their own system, but not on VRBO. They also sent an email and several reminders to complete some rental agreement, but the link provided was not clickable. Also, the checkout instructions provided in the guidebook were different from an email sent towards the end of the stay. It's also worth noting that after our stay, they asked for a review but only if it's 5 stars; anything less than that they want communicated privately.
