Rustic historic vibe of Fairbanks #1 conveniently located around attractions.
This first floor duplex is in a quiet, older neighborhood. Located within walking distance to the majority of visitor attractions and restaurants in downtown Fairbanks, it is also close to two grocery stores and Bentley Mall. It has a fenced in yard.
Not clean. 2 bath towels for 4 people. Very warm with a couple of box fans. Bathroom is kind of pass through. Not convenient for other couple in other bedroom. Lawn not mowed in a while. Very buggy.
This was a nice place to stay. I had a little confusion at first because the entrance was through the back door, not the front. Was very comfortable and slept well.
This is an old two story house with the accommodation being on the bottom floor It is like staying in someoneâs home while they are away. Everything you need and close to restaurants, etc. no air conditioner if that is important but fans in the rooms and comfortable.
The property was larger than expected. Enough space for two vehicles and a U-Haul truck to park. Accommodations were awesome. It was just like being at home.
It was well stocked, large and comfortable with large, cold refrigerator, but initially spoiled by bad odors in the bathroom from the toilet not being flushed or cleaned well at all.
This as a good value for us for our stay in Fairbanks. Couldn't quite give five stars due to some cleanliness issues and an overall musty smell. If yoiu are hypersensitive to molds and must, caution. I am in that category but my brother is not and found it just fine. Good value and fully serviceable!
House is in a great location and great size. We had booked well in advanced but owners were not ready for us, they had forgotten we were arriving that day. We arrived a few minutes before 4pm, the house was still dirty from the previous people, beds slept in, etc.. Called owner who was rude on phone and stated he was not expecting us and had no recollection of the VRBO booking. He did come down and âcleanâ the house and it was ready by 4pm.
House was old, rustic and very basic. Would not stay in house again.
the code to the lock box was wrong, the phone number provided to me was wrong. I couldn't get in, or call support and was left needing to find a new place to sleep last minute with no refund.
We werenât expecting luxuryâŠit was a good price for a humble place to lay our heads for a couple nights. But the toilet needed to be flushed when we arrived and simple things werenât provided - there was a coffee pot but no filters, we had to buy our own toilet paper because less than a full roll had been provided. When we needed other supplies, and requested help thru the apps the owner never responded. The internet worked fine and there were room darkening curtains, which we really appreciated.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Charles Street property. It's a nice little neighborhood close to downtown Fairbanks.
The house is clean with plenty of amenities. Check-in was easy. The owner answers all queries very quickly.
I highly recommend this property.
This was an amazing place to stay it fit all of our needs and allowed us to be comfortable during the span of our trip. We loved the location and the easy access to downtown! Thank you again!
