Property was as advertised. Short drive to downtown and easy access. Would be nice to have a hook or something to hang clothes on in guest room, but not a big deal. Would stay there again
The location had easy access to everything we did in Edenton. The house was very peaceful and had comfortable seating. Everything was in bloom at this time of year and the gardens were beautiful.
Communication was great and accommodating with easy access. The home was quaint and lovely for the two of us and a nice short drive to downtown Edenton. The only thing I may have misread in the listing was the sleeping set up. The bed was a bit small for the two of us- maybe a full size? and I typically like to have at least a queen if not a king. That wouid be my only suggestion - thankfully we had the extra twin daybed in the other room and had no problem splitting up for the night. Was an overall lovely stay and downtown Edenton is beautiful and filled with so many historic buildings. We thoroughly enjoyed our time
This was the perfect cottage for my best friend and I to stay on our first time weekend trip to Edenton. Very quaint, cozy and has an old fashioned beach charm to it. Very quiet and peaceful. We loved the side porch with the swinging bench. The cottage was located less than five minute drive from town (with absolutely NO traffic). Perfect place for two people.
Charming cottage reminiscent of the house I grew up in. Very nice updating, with many older features still intact. Edenton is an attractive town, and the cottage is well-located. Our hosts were very nice and have added a lot of sweet touches to this delightful place. We would return.
We lucked out with this property being two doors away from our son & family. It was a quiet area and easy come and go. The âgreeneryâ behind the cottage was spectacular from the screened in porch. The bed was advertised on listing as a Queen, but it actually was a double bed -- a bit too small for us. The cottage has an Adirondack vibe in my eyes. I grew up in that area and the cottage reminded me of my youth and camps/cottages back home. The âsmellâ (a good smellđ) upon entering took me right back to Canada lake and that was a nice treatđ.
A lot was frustrating.owner was rude to my husband when we couldnât find the key There was no wifi name as was listed in owners info. The VRBO text site wasnât working so no communication with owner. Furniture on porch had thick layer of dust so we cleaned it Clocks were the wrong time There was a nice bottle of wine and we appreciated that.
Everything was just as posted in the online information. House is very clean and well decorated. Broadband connectivity and wifi network are excellent. Hosts are extremely friendly, proactive, and responsive. Close to all the popular attractions in Edenton.
This was a perfect weekend getaway for my husband's birthday. Edenton is a super cute, quaint little town, and this cottage was the perfect place to come back to each day to relax and unwind. It was beautifully decorated and had everything you would need to feel right at home. And the little garden out back is adorable! The hosts were a pleasure to work with, and the entire experience was easy breezy. It was the perfect little historic cottage for our historic weekend trip!
