East of Edenton! Romantic sunset waterfront getaway on the Albemarle Sound!
Treehouse charm with 180 degree water view. Southwest exposure provides year 'round sunsets from our expansive deck while enjoying a nice dinner by the glowing light of the fire table. Roast marshmallows from your Adirondacks over the backyard firepit as you listen to the sound of the Albemarle lapping at the bulkhead. Kayaks, bicycles, fishing rods, table tennis and corn hole for two! Even a set of golf clubs should you care to do a round at the nearby Links at Mulberry Hill. Just minutes east of Historic Edenton, North Carolina.
When using gas grill on deck, please clean grill and re-coverâŠmaking sure all burners are off and the gas tank valve is turned to âoffâ position.
When using fire pit/stove please make sure all embers are extinguished and stove is cooled to allow cover to be replaced and secured win bungees.
We had such a relaxing time and were really able to unwind. The view is from the living room is absolutely beautiful. We also enjoyed the turntable and album collection! We were well taken care of and are so grateful we got to stay there!
Such a cute, cozy place. Was lucky to catch a beautiful sunset one night, and the dock was perfect to sit and relax and stare off into the water. Loved our stay and would stay again!!
What a place to relax and enjoy a spectacular view!
It was a wonderful place to stay and unwind from the hectic pace. This view is mesmerizing and the place was great. The hosts supplied an incredible resource of music CD's to listen to and their ear for music was right up our alley. We enjoyed our stay immensely and will return again in the future.
The home was very comfortable and clean with modern upgrades. The location was very convenient and the view from the living room and deck was amazing! Hope to get back soon.
The house is very cute and well appointed. The whole front of windows showcased a gorgeous view of Albemarle Sound. Short rainy weekend but we would come back again to enjoy the dock and the deck.
As amazing as the pictures look online, the views and sunset are even better in person. The way the house is positioned on the lot, all you see is water from the living room! Gorgeous. Highly recommend!
The views of the Albemarle Sound were even better than I believed possible! The view through the glass doors from the living room (and over the back deck) was truly breathtaking. We loved sitting on the wonderful sofa looking out on the water, watching tv, napping, and generally relaxing. We also loved the beautiful tree (maple?) surrounded by the deck, as well as the pier & dock. We loved the birds (martins?) swooping over the back yard and the fabulous sunsets over the water. The house was the perfect size for us and very comfortable. It was a delightful experience and many thanks to our hosts!
Perfect place to hang out and relax or wander the streets in town. Sunsets were incredible! Only negative was that there is only one coffee shop in town so it was a 20+ minute wait to get a cup, and they are not open on Sundays. But don't let that spoil an otherwise fabulous locale.
A cozy, nicely furnished cottage on the shore of Albemarle Sound. Views from the deck and living room are fabulous. Historic sites, shops, and restaurants of Edenton are a short drive away. Perfect for a peaceful Inner Banks getaway!
If you are looking for an intimate vacation spot with absolutely breathtaking views, this is the spot for you! My husband and I enjoyed 4 wonderful days at this beautiful home. The amount of the amenities in the home made for a comfortable stay. Our personal favorites were the Beatles monopoly game that got plenty of use, sitting on the pier watching the views just steps away from the house, and the best naps with views of the water on a very comfortable couch! The hosts were so considerate, thinking of all the details and even reaching out to us when bad weather was predicted, making sure we were aware and prepared. Don't let the amount of houses close by sway you, we hardly saw anyone our entire trip and the few we did meet were nothing but friendly! The town had a small town feel while still providing delicious restaurants and unique shops lining the roads. We are already planning our next trip back!
We had a wonderful stay at East of Edenton on the Albemarle Sound. The views were absolutely stunning, especially the sunsets right over the waterâtruly peaceful and beautiful. The neighborhood was quiet and relaxing, making it the perfect spot for my wife and I. The house itself was comfortable and well-kept, and Eric and Julianne were extremely responsive and helpful throughout our stay. The dozens of classic rock albums were a nice bonus. We highly recommend this property for anyone looking for a peaceful getaway.
House was beautifully located on the water .. it was a last minute booking and the check in process was very easy. The panoramic views from the deck were stunning. The sunsets amazing. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed! We left renewed and relaxed Great getaway!
Sweet little bay cottage with great view. Double bed keeps it cozy. Well appointed and clean. Edenton is a wonderfully historic and quaint town. Would stay again .
This was a cozy house with a spectacular view! It has a very warm inviting atmosphere and it was very peaceful. A wonderful place to relax and recharge.
My son and I stayed here Memorial Day weekend for a quick get away from Virginia Beach, VA. The moment we walked thru the door we started to see squirrels and birds on the front deck, which we loved. We enjoy them in our backyard at home. We went bike riding around the neighborhood and even kayaking. If you can you got to take the kayaks out, I brought my own and explored a little to my left of the dock, but the big surprise was to the right of the dock, past the waterfront homes. There are cypress trees with moss hanging down. The neighbors were very friendly. Check out my pictures.
My husband and I wanted a nice getaway for the long Valentine's Day/President's Day weekend, and have been wanting to check this place out. Eric and Julianne are the perfect hosts. All communication with them was quick and very helpful with understanding the area in the off-season. The home is very warm and welcoming with amazing sunsets. We loved the large windows letting in lots of natural light and allowing for full views of the water. It's a nice quiet neighborhood but a short distance to the historic downtown Edenton area to take in the local sights and food experiences. Love their collection of old school vinyl, CDs and DVDs. And we enjoyed the cribbage board, too. We liked the solitude of the area where we could simply decompress and reconnect with each other. We would love to return in the warmer months so we can enjoy the deck and water activities. Book your next stay here. You will not be disappointed! Thanks a million Eric and Julianne!
Julianne and (Eric) are both radio veterans and live in Norfolk. Jules is from Alexandria, Virginia, and I am from the state of Oregon. We love sharing our beautiful little home on the Albemarle Sound. Julianne has a passion for Horses and Exotic Beaches, and I love music and art. We have three adult kids and love wine, travel, Faith and family!
Most of all, we love the neighborhood and its proximity to Edenton. There are several spots along the northern shore of the Albemarle Sound that donât get the same exposure to the sunset that we have⊠Nearly year-round⊠Itâs an opportunity for a beautiful sunset. Absolutely charming location, and great neighbors too.
We may be quaint in size, but big in beauty. The massive deck⊠The big water, our giant tree growing up through the deck, all lit up at night⊠Itâs like the ultimate tree fort, and along with several amenities, itâs a perfect place to unpack, unplug, and unwind,
