Beautiful cabin by the river
Adorable cabin on a beautiful property. Lots of special touches throughout and very gracious hosts. Loved exploring outdoors, walking by the river, fishing, grilling out, and sitting around the fire pit. Can’t wait to return!
Thanks for the review I hope you all will come again. Thanks Doug
We were looking for a quite , peaceful weekend to spend our 40th anniversary.
Nailed it!!The hideaway cabin was perfect
Thanks. Glad you enjoyed your stay. Hope you can
come back again.
What a perfect, cozy getaway! My family of three (10-year-old son) had a wonderful two-night stay at the cabin. It was just the right size for the three of us. The woodwork and decor is great. The river access is convenient and my husband and son caught several white perch and catfish right from the pier. The owner stopped by while we were outside enjoying the fire pit and is extremely friendly - as are his pets! :) Downtown Edenton is about 20 minutes away and worth the drive. It offers several cute stores, coffee shops, and cafes. This is the perfect place to get away, spend time with family, and enjoy nature!
Lovely Cabin and Enjoyable Stay
We really enjoyed our four-night stay at this very pretty cabin, which is nestled in the trees and a 20-minute drive to historic downtown Edenton. It is tastefully decorated and very comfortable (great bathroom) and, while smaller in size, had everything we could have wanted - comfortable beds, screened-in back porch, grill and fire pit, a short walk to the water (including access to the owner's "big house" porch with rocking chairs and a beautiful view of the river), and the cabin's lovely front porch, where we spent evenings just enjoying the incredibly tall trees and nature sounds. There are quite a few steps to the front door, but once up there, we really appreciated the "treehouse" feel. We ate several meals at the downtown restaurants, which were quite good (especially 309 Bistro and Edenton Bay Oyster Bar). All in all, it was the perfect spot for our getaway and we would certainly recommend it.
