This is definitely more like âGlampingâ than âCampingâ!
So much to do surrounding the cabin. Head over to Crazy Franks Flea market or take a short 10 minute drive to a bigger city Viroqua and enjoy their farmers market & cute boutiques. Near fly fishing, reeds creek & the Kickapoo. Bike the Kickapoo Valley Reserve one of our favorite activities! Lots of activities to do in the Driftless and just a short drive from the cabin. Hike the the Kickapoo valley Reserve, take a drive over to Wildcat State Park, check out the Wineryâs, brewery, Amish stores & Sunrise Apple Orchard near by or simply take in the sounds of nature surrounding you. Bring your yard games & roasting sticks.
We enjoyed the privacy of this lovely cabin. It was a nice location to get to Viroqua other small towns around. I appreciated that the property allowed our dogs the ability to let them roam around without fences/people/other pups. The AC was nice on such hot rainy days during our visit. The host was very easy to communicate with before during our stay!I took one star off simply because it was a bit more rustic than the description let on to believe/ could have been cleaner. My family all lives off-grid in rural MT ID, so I'm used to compost toilets not potable water. I was NOT prepared to empty the compost toilet urine tank the first day I was there to it being 3/4 full already with previous guests' bodily fluids - gross. The upstairs loft bed had not been stripped of previous bedding, lots of bugs along the walls that my 9 month old enjoyed finding there was no dish soap for the sink area.
My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this peaceful little cabin. It was a great spot to relax and give our kids and dogs some room to run around for the weekend with plenty of recreational options a short drive away.
This cabin is in a perfect location. Close to all the good restaurants, and extremely close to the best trout fishing in the state. Thank you for everything Sarah,

Loved the cabin and the area but the driveway was washed out and rubbed the bottom of our car. Text them to let them know while we were there and nothing got done about it
The description of the property was spot on and communication with Sarah was fabulous. The cabin was exactly what we needed to just get away. The cabin had everything you needed but still had the charm of roughing it, just a tiny bit. We loved it and can't wait to stay again
We had a very great time staying at this cabin! Itâs completely secluded from other houses and just surrounded by cornfields. It was very calm and relaxing throughout the day and night. We absolutely loved it!
Grandparents, daughter and 2 kids 10/13. City kids loved the cabin remoteness and absolute quiet. Crickets were a new experience. Sadly no fireflies. Fresh air and local family gathering had all in bed by 9:30 pm.
This was a very secluded spot and the cabin was clean and and nicely decorated. The composting toilet took a minute to get used to but was fine. I never had to use my 4wheel drive going up the hill to the cabin but would highly recommend having it just in case,a higher riding vehicle would be a must. The cabin is close to town and a great location for trout fishing in the area.
We had a wonderful time.
Cabin was very cute and quaint in the woods and a nice place to get away from it all. Please ensure to have the right expectations for the amenities. There is only a sink outside the house (not inside) to wash your hands etc. There is a compost toilet which we never used before, our urine was not 3/4 full so we did not empty it--also it was a bit confusing how to empty the toilet (and where to put the urine?). Despite that had a relaxing stay.
Cute cabin. Very fun drive leading to the cabin. Low slung vehicles like minivans will definitely have a hard time. Personally felt like it was a bit overpriced for what it was but we were given a gift and decided to splurge so it was very fun.
