Come relax and enjoy our CHARMING Bungalow Carriage House. The property sits on the top of a hill on five acres with a great lake view There are lots of trees on our property so you feel like you are in the county but three blocks down the hill is the Village of Watkins Glen. The Watkins Glen State Park is a 10 minute walk away and the Race Tract is a 10 minute ride away. There is a great private outside sitting area with views of the lake, firepit & BBQ. Its great to sit in your comfy Adirondack chairs while viewing the lake enjoying your morning coffee or afternoon drink by the fire pit. If you are not enjoying one of our many local restaurants the bungalow boasts a full kitchen with all you need to make a lovely meal. FYI

Great Little Fall Getaway

The Carriage House was very nice, clean and well appointed. It served as a perfect home base for us as we explored the area. The owner provided a lot of little extra touches that made our stay that much more enjoyable! We couldn’t have asked for a better experience for our first visit to the Finger Lakes!

Absolute gem!

We had the perfect stay! First visit to WG to celebrate our anniversary over a long weekend. The carriage house and property was simply idyllic. We were so happy to have been able to find this home that also permitted our dog. All of the furniture, including the bed, are super comfortable. The hosts provided cheese and crackers, wine, beer, OJ, muffins, coffee and creamers upon arrival. They really have gone above and beyond with all the touches to make guests feel comfortable. If this is available, don’t hesitate another minute to book! It has everything you could want.

Theresa sets a new standard for “clean.”

This may have been the nicest VRBO stay we have ever had. Theresa’s Carriage House was just lovely all around. It was in very nice, quiet setting with sightings of the local animal neighbors, a beautiful view of the lake, yet only three blocks away from the charming downtown/village area. Theresa was a fabulous host who communicated clearly prior to our arrival and quickly answered the few questions we had while staying there. We very much appreciated the welcome gift she left for us. We had everything we needed for a continental breakfast the next morning and wine and cheese and crackers for an evening in. The rental unit has been thoughtfully and beautifully done. Every time we used something I thought we must have been the first guests—everything was so clean. Convenient to the town, the State Park, Corning Museum, and Geneva where we attended a family event. If we visit this area again, I would love to stay at the Carriage House again. Thank you!

We loved our stay!

The carriage house was lovely! We loved the location, private, house was so cute, we had everything we needed. So close to so many trails, restaurants! We will definitely be back, our pups also enjoyed it! Property is big, on a dead end street, we even had some deer visitors! We did not want to leave! Thank you for the hospitality and treats!

Carriage House

Exactly as described. Location was perfect for daily outings to explore downtown, wineries, Itchaca, Geneva, and state parks. Hosts were quick to respond to any questions. The goodies in the fridge were a pleasant surprise! Everything you need is at this cottage. We saw a family of deer each morning walking through the park-like yard. The view was nice and we even saw a rainbow over the lake after a rainy morning. Definitely would stay here again.

Summer road trip getaway

Lovely, quiet cottage in a serene setting, close to everything. This cottage was perfect for the two of us for a few nights stay. It has everything you could need. Very comfortable bed and awesome shower. The snacks and bottle of wine upon arrival was so welcoming. Host is great and even checked on us to make sure we were alright and had what we needed during a crazy storm. Would definitely stay again and would 100% recommend.

Property was just as described, clean, comfortable, and great location. Easy to get into town quickly, but secluded and quiet. Check in was easy and the treats left by the host were so thoughtful! Would definitely stay here again.

Sweet Spot in Watkins Glen

We had a lovely stay! The carriage house is fresh and clean and has beautiful, rustic accents where the original wood beams peek out along the ceiling and walls. This location was quiet and has a pretty view of the lake. We enjoyed having a place to stay close to so many local attractions. We were comfortable and pleased with its cleanliness. We would absolutely book again!

Didn’t want to leave!

This was the perfect spot to stay in Watkins Glen. It was near everything but felt very private. Theresa and her husband were wonderful hosts. It was very clean and had everything we needed. The view was great!

Cozy Home

This cozy cottage is nestled away on a dead end street away from busy main street. However, you can walk into town. I will say it is a very steep hill so we decided to drive. The cottage quaint and Theresa has stocked the kitchen with local wine, cheese and crackers, muffins, water bottles, coffee and creamer etc. She thought of everything! After a long drive it was a welcome surprise. We loved our stay and would return again

Cute carriage house

Very charming and cozy. The carriage house is at the end of a dead end street so although it is on the owner’s property, it still feels very private. Lots of deer in and around the yard. The walk to town is only about a half mile, but it’s a bit steep on the walk back up. The house itself was exceptionally clean. Decent size bedroom, bathroom and living area. The vaulted ceilings throughout make it seem much larger. The kitchen was set up for basic cooking. The house has a counter top oven and hot plate rather than a range. Not a problem if you plan to eat bigger meals in town. The only suggestion we would have is to have a smaller frying pan. The hot plate is perfectly fine for making breakfast but with a large frying pan, it was difficult to use both burners at the same time. Would definitely recommend and we would love to stay here again if we are in the area.

Beautiful Intimate Lake View

Absolutely stunning lake view property that was extremely clean and beautifully decorated. Close to everything and set on a beautiful property with a fire pit all ready to go along with a bottle of wine, cheese and crackers. Very impressive!

Wonderful view excellent location in Watkins Glen

Very clean updated carriage house with everything needed for your stay. We were welcomed to a bottle of wine, cheese, etc. supplied with water and coffee. The view of the lake was excellent. Very close to downtown Watkins Glen and vineyards. Theresa was a welcoming host. Great location for a weekend getaway. 5 star stay!

Stunning

You couldn’t ask for a more beautiful place to stay, the view of the lake is just as stunning as sitting atop of the hill at any winery. The amazing thing is you are only a minute from town! The guest house is charming, clean and is designed and decorated with a creative eye. We can’t wait to go back!

A great get-away

This was an awesome place to stay up the hill from Watkins Glen. Cozy, cute and quiet. The view of Seneca Lake from the fire pit area was beautiful. Very relaxing location. Snacks and wine found on our arrival were so appreciated. The walk up and down the hill was a little challenging but helped us wear off the calories gained down in the village. Would highly recommend this property!!

My husband and I stayed here for two nights. It’s a beautiful little cottage on a beautiful property. The views of the lake from the cottage and fire pit were outstanding. The location was great - close to town and Watkins Glen State Park. We really enjoyed our stay!

Annual Grapehounds Weekend!

We have been visiting Seneca Lake for a few years every July for the annual Grapehounds event. I found this lovely gem of a place right outside of Watkins Glen. The Carriage House was adorable. Clean, well decorated and Theresa the host even stocked the refrigerator with some essentials! Linens were provided as well as soaps, shampoos.etc.., in case you needed them. We had a wonderful stay! I’d highly recommend for a couple to get away, relax, visit wineries, go hiking or whatever else tickles your fancy!

Very nice

We loved it here! Located on a quiet dead end road with a great lake view. Wonderful extras like snacks and coffee provided by owners was a nice surprise. Very clean and well appointed. We would stay here again.
